Hi all,Sorry if this has already being discussed. For months I've tried to access me OVO account but receive the same message "were bringing you a new website" but this is since May. I've tried the app and still the same message. Is there an issue with the website?Thank you.

Is it possible to setup temporary charging with a slow 13A car charger using charge anytime? At home I have an Indra charger, it works fine with Charge Anytime, no problems.  At the moment I am having my driveway re-laid, and this means I can’t get my car on the drive near the charger.  I do have a 13A charger for the car, and have worked out it reaches the end ok.  But can I set that up to use charge anytime?  I can’t see how to add another charger in the app?Car is a Tesla Model 3 if that matters.

Hi, I have used the new OVO Charge app a few times before without any issues. Since early this week the OVO Charge app is not recognising that the car is plugged in. The car sticks on the initialising stage, and the blue light on the charger is flashing like the initialising stage, but no charge seems to be releasing as the app still states ‘plug in vehicle to begin charging’.I have never used the OVO anytime app as still fairly new to EV’s. I have a Jaguar Ipace and an Evec charger.I have also emailed the OVO charge email address and not had a response since Monday. I am now having to charge away from home costing a lot of extra money.I have also tried deleting both Evec and OVO charge app’s and reinstalling and still no joy.Any help would be great fully appreciated.

Recently renewed our contract for the 3rd year and just noticed that we are no longer receiving our charge anytime credit. Ive emailed support, just wanted to check if this has happened to anyone else and if they had any problems getting it sorted.

i have duel fuel top up meters with ovo and recently the gas meter is not accepting the top up sent from the app the electric meter works fine and i top up via the app it appears on the monitor within a minute but when i top up with the gas through the app i have to manually key in the code that the app sends rather than it happens automatically.. it use to work fine before ..always about 20 mins after i used  the app but last 2 payments have been like this now ...any ideas why?

My personal achievement of power shifted is expressed in the right units: kWh. Why is the overall shift for last month expressed as a rate  -  “97 megawatts of electricity was shifted”? 

I have just read this passage about FACs in another thread: “… my own experience shows that [the future annual consumption figure] is being based on, (or at least being adjusted based on) actual meter readings. I could see my FAC for gas changing (reducing by large amounts) within minutes of submitting a new meter reading.”This is what is supposed to happen, if I understand the wording here: Usage projection is a figure produced by our billing system, that uses smart meter readings (if available) to project the usage for you over the next year.We clearly have a two-tier system: an ineffectual one for smart meter customers, and another better one for everyone else. Those who submit manual readings 'see their FAC changing within minutes.' Those of us with smart meters are apparently subject to a system which can take months to adjust the FAC to actual usage, despite having meter readings recorded automatically every day.My own (electricity only) FAC got stuck last year after a meter adju

Had a short power cut this morning, ( didnt make any trip switch go) later went to put on any lights and they are dimming in and out like flicking. All other electrical goods such as tv, tumble drier etc are ok. Any idea of the reason behind this. My neighbours lights doing the same

 Thank you for taking the time to read our issue i do understand its very long with a lot of information but hoping someone can help resolve.**Please note that my Mum is the account holder who is 74 and is becoming very ill and very stressed and worried about this and we have provided both written and verbal communication to OVO advising i can speak on her behalf , this has been ignored on every occasion we contact OVO***We did start a thread on this back in December last year but thought it best to start a new one as i have more knowledge / information regarding the issue as its still not been resolved.Back in Aug /Sept 2022 we had a  power cut in our area for around half a day , once the power came back on i went outside to check our traditional style meter to provide the readings for OVO and the LCD  display was blank and although our power was still working with no issues we were unable to provide a meter reading (our last submitted manual reading was in June 2022)We contacted OVO

Hi all,like many people, I have an aging parent who struggles to cope with modern technology such as online accounts.I would like to manage my Mum’s energy account for her but her current supplier will not let me do this without a “Lasting Power of Attorney” and my Mum finds that troubling because it makes her think that “the law” is taking over her life.If we were to change supplier to OVO, could the account have both my Mum and me as joint account holders without the “scary” legal stuff ?thanks for any thoughts on the matterPhilipJ

Ovo have informed me that my gas meter needs replacing and that they can only replace it with a smart meter, they have also stated that it will be necessary to change the electric meter at the same time.I am extremely reluctant to have a smart meter, my main concerns being their accuracy and the ability of the energy company to charge higher prices at peak usage.  My fixed tariff is coming to an end soon and I feel that Ovo will use it as a condition of renewing with them. It seems I have very little choice.Also how do they know that my existing meter needs replacing?  

Im building a new house and need to purchase a ASHP, looking mainly at Vailant because of the OVO 15p per KW offer they have for their customers (which I'm one of) In order to receive this offer, do I need to buy the Vailant heat pump from OVO or can I get it from a certified MCS installer and still claim the new tariff? I will also be purchasing the Gateway add-on, is this the only requirements? If not, then maybe I will look at other ASHP rather than just the Vailant range Any help appreciated!

How do I read rate 1 & 2 on my E470 series 3 smet s2 electric meter as I can only find rate 1

I had a smart meter installed 2 weeks ago and since then my storage heaters and immersion element to heat up the water in a big cylinder tank are not working anymore. Both only run on off peak electricity. I have raised this with OVO, an emergency engineer, a commissioned engineer, came but couldn’t solve the problem. Since then I’m daily on the phone with OVO but nobody is able to help. I’ve raised a complaint, got a call from OVO and was told that my case is being looked into and I would get a call back. Nobody was ringing back. It’s very stressful to call daily, explain the same problem each time and not getting anywhere. I was even told by one operator that it’s my problem and not OVO’s.. It’s absolutely outrageous that an organisation like OVO is not able to rectify the problem. I wonder if someone had similar experience and can give advise how to handle the matter. Thank you

I have solar and battery installed through Ovo currently exporting on the SEG Install Exclusive tariff. I'll be getting a great pink soon and am looking at tariff options. How does the Heat Pump Plus tariff calculate the electricity used by a heat pump if some is generated by solar and not imported? Is it as simple as the 15p/kWh cost being applied to any electricity imported, up to the amount that the heat pump has used? Over what period is this calculated? I’d like to work out the most cost effective way to run the systems if I get paid 20p for export but only pay 15p for import!

I had my electric meter replaced with a smart one today, and the IHD that was given is not the IHD 6 but the older IHD 3. Not only that, it appears to be an inferior version of the IHD 3 with no rechargeable batteries (IHD3-PPMID-AAA). This specific model was not listed on the OVO website. There is a battery compartment for a single AAA battery, however there is an issue where if you unplug it from the wall, and let the device switch to battery power, the buttons become unresponsive and they remain unresponsive when you plug it back in. To get the buttons working again you have to reboot it by unplugging it and taking out the battery. So I decided not to use the battery compartment. Are IHD 3 models still being handed out despite the IHD 6 being the newest model? And why are they handing out this inferior model?

Hi. I am a bit concerned that, even though I have a smart meter, someone from Morrisons called to read my meter. I thought having a smart meter obviated having someone call to the house. Fortunately my daughter was at my house at the time as, if I had been on my own, it would have made me very uncomfortable.

I had a smart meter installed. Chose economy 7 tariff as have storage heaters and water heated by thermostat on off peak. Since meter installed off peak does not work. Ovo sent an engineer who changed the meter. Still no off peak. Ovo then said they’d fix the problem remotely. They said it was successful but still no off peak. Now they are saying it must be to do with my wiring or configuration and they can’t do anything more. Now what am I supposed to do? No heating or hot water since July 28th.

How can I find out which public chargers are compatible with Ovo's charging card? I can use Zapmap to find chargers but might not get the saving by using the card.I want to find a compatible chademo charger near Gatwick airport and there's currently no way of doing so.

Hi I am constantly building up a large credit balance due to what seems to be a fault in the way the direct debit charge is calculated automatically.Here is where the problem seems to be:I am charged £172 a monthIf you average the bill over the last 12 months it works out at £174 a month Excluding Charge anytime creditThe average Charge Anytime credit over the last 12 months is £28 a month meaning the average monthly bill is actually only £146 a month meaning a £28 a month direct debit overpayment which builds up a large credit quickly especially in the summer months. I have tried taking refunds and adjusting the monthly direct debit amount but all that happens is the system adjusts the direct debit amount back up as it performs the wrong calculation again and think i’m under paying. I cant be the only person with charge anytime seeing this issue, does anyone else see this or found a way to fix it. Thanks Paul

Hi, Our smart meter failed over the weekend which resulted in being without gas for nearly 24hrs? Can OVO provide answers to the questions below? 1. Why did the smart meter not proactivly inform me or Ovo that the meter was about to fail ? No warning it just died and left us ( family with 2 children under 5) without gas for heating,Hot water or cooking. Not very SMART ? 2. We thought the battery life of the smart meter was on avergae 10 years? this lasted 3 at best ? engineers that have visited say that on average its 2 -3 years? Why are we being informed its 10 years ? Essentially are we looking at replacements every 3 years? Not very SMART ? 3. Upon discovering we had no gas we tried to contact OVO out of business hours... which is a challenge , number on this site and on the internet are business hours only and it took a lot of searching to actually find an emergency contact. once we did get through we were informed that there was nothing they could do till 9am the following day?? W

Morning allSo I downloaded the new OVO Charge App yesterday following the prompt from the old app.Install and registration worked fine, it pulled through my charging history and my charger details.I plugged in last night and set  the schedule in the new app but this morning no charge had taken place.Checked the pinned thread (which I hadn't seen prior to install) and everything seems correct however I did have to re-login to my charger app this morning (didn't  check yesterday as it serves no purpose now everything is via the OVO apps).I also can't connect to my cars app now, although again it's pretty useless so I don't use it, so that could be unconnected.Questions… - should I delete the old OVO app? - are the 2 apps clashing? Although they are syncing in terms of ready byFYI my charger is an EVEC, car is a 2025 Vauxhall Grandland and phone is a Google Pixel.Will try again later now I'm signed into my charger app.

I completed the moving in registration over a week ago and never received any confirmation emails from OVO. The property is already supplied by OVO so does not require a transfer period. I completed this form again today in the hope to get some light of account set up and meter readings put in.  I have also tried to login and it lets me set my password but once logged in, it says a problem has occured or they cannot find my details.   I need access to an account to put in meter readings and pay, however I do not understand why this is an impossible task and I have double checked my emails and junk folder and received no communication.

I got this text the other day. When I log in, there’s nothing indicating this on my account, but the text automatically flagged as being from “OVO”. Any help much appreciated! 

Good morning, be gentle first post here and looking for some advice…. i am an OVO Customer of many years. i have an EV car on order and its arriving 1st week of March 2023 looking to fit a home charger. ive been reading up about chargers and seen there is lots of talk about Zappi 2 chargers seem to be the best one in the market currently.  can the forum give advice on the chargers OVO do and can i use a Zappi 2 with the OVO Anytime and Anytime + rates please ? any help on this would be appreciated thanks
