Hello, I am trying to do the video survey for a charger installation. Unfortunately, my phone (Pixel 8) will not allow the Ovo website to access the camera or microphone and I cannot see where in the settings I can give permission. Any ideas please?

I had SMETS2 gas and electricity meter a installed a couple of weeks ago. So far so good, however I’m wondering if / how I can switch them to 30 minute reads? I’d like more granularity on the usage data ideally. Also, I’m finding the gas readings are very binary; maybe because it’s summer and we are not using a lot, but it seems to be counting in chunks - e.g one day we will use nothing, then we’ll use a set amount, the next day it’s exactly the same amount. This seems a bit odd.

Hi, we have a 2025 Mercedes EQA 250+ and a 2021 Mercedes A250e with the Ohme home pro charger. All has worked well until today. There is an issue when it goes through the process to connect where it is now saying we have to agree to terms and conditions? I can’t find where the terms and conditions place is to agree? We haven’t unagreed anything. Has anyone else had this issue and found the workaround? I have attached a screenshot of the issue that so far is pre ending the charge anytime. We can charge at full price per kWh but am hoping there is a fix?

My daughter has moved into a property and we want o know who supplies the gas and electric but are having some issues, mpan required for electric meter but can't find it. See attached pic. Any help would be gratefully received  

Variable Direct Debit is when, at the end of each billing cycle, the actual full amount of your bill is taken from your bank account by Direct Debit This means that you never build up any credit with OVO, but keep the benefits of paying lower standing and unit charges when compared with Pay on Demand customers. It, of course, means that, for most people, bills will be higher in winter than in summer months. MANY energy companies offer this as an option. Personally, I would not choose this way to pay my bills because, being a pensioner, I am on a fixed income so prefer a similar amount leaving my bank account each month that covers my yearly energy bill. However, I wonder how many who choose the “Pay on Demand” option (Standard Credit) would prefer to pay in this way if it meant lower standing and unit charges? 

Hi folks,Can anyone confirm if OVO are going to be making Grant ASHPs eligible for the Heat pump plus tariff?we’re in the process of deciding on a Grant aerono or a more expensive Vaillant, I’ve been told that the Grant ASHP will be eligible but I’ve seen nothing to confront this from OVO?thanks

OVO have incorrectly stated on my credit report that i have an alias and have been known by another name. The person they are saying i have previously been known by is my parrner and is named jointly on the account! How do i rectify this error

How to stop a new ovo installed and managed via charge anytime solar battery installation from draining the battery. I want the Zappi which is controlled by charge anytime to take power from grid by default unless I ask it to take from the battery.Is there a grid or battery option in the app. thanks in advance

Hello, I’m moving home in a month and won’t be responsible for utilities anymore, therefore I’m closing my OVO account. I’m required to submit final meter readings but it is unclear when -Should I submit my meter readings today or on the day I move out?Also, how long after I move out/close my OVO account can I cancel my direct debit? Many thanks! 

Hello Im Just about to move into a house that was repossessed and the services are either disconnected or capped. What’s the process to get it back up and running? I called ovo they said to call uk power and uk power said call ovo…! Also how long does this all take if anyone has an idea?! Thank you 

You claim on your help page that I can change where my DD is paid from by clicking on the ‘profile’ tab. I can’t. No such facility exists and the only way to do this apparently is to call you.

I have a 2024 Hyundai Kona, since adding the Charge Anytime Add on & linking to my Bluelink account it keeps coming up with  "Charging process successfully completed as configured" which isn't the case. I have to then press charge again via the Bluelink app. This happens within 15 - 30 minutes of charging. The charge anytime app still shows the car as charging when it clearly isn't.I contacted Hyundai and they advised it would be the 3rd party app causing this, is this a known issue and how can I resolve this as I want to benefit from the cheaper rate. Thanka

Hi,When I moved here in 2018 there were already Liberty SMETS1 electric and gas meters installed so I’m not sure how old they are. Since then no-one has been to check them ( they are both inside the kitchen ) and I’m starting to wonder if the gas one should be replaced due to age of battery. Should I contact OVO to request replacements ?

What time does freindly credit start and end 

Feel like I have left high and Dry, Surely a Charger is expected to last more than 3 years 9 months?? My Indra charger stop working Suddenly at 10pm on a Sunday night, It has power and Internet and when I plug the charger into the car it starts charging but on the Web Platform it says its charging at 0kwh, it then stops all together after 10 minutes. The car thinks its charging as its flashing Green Light but the actual charger is not getting the Electric to the Car, so I tried boosting because I need to charge the car! Same thing happening its not actually charging but thinks its charging. Reported this to Indra and because I am out of warrant  by 9 months I have been basically told its my problem and there is nothing they can do, personally I don't think they know what the problem can be. Support is non existent and it was me chasing them to try and resolve my issue, would anyone have any ideas why this charger is not sending the electric signal to my car? The problem is not my car a

I am a pay as you go customer (PAYG) who was an SSE customer. SSE used to send out a statement every 3 months showing usage and costs. I got changed over 8 months ago and can't get a billing statement sent out to me? I am told look at the app but the app is only for D/D customers so no billing info is available to download for PAYG customers, why?We all pay for our energy so why can't PAYG customers get billing statements sent to them?Customer service send me on a merry-go-round with no ability to assist and the Web site does not offer this service 'O' but they do for D/D customers are payg customers less important OVO energy? Sort out your app that allows PAYG customers the same service as DD customers, SSE offered this service via their app why can't OVO offer the same???

Hi - I have an OVO account for dual fuel pay monthly, but recently got divorced. I'd like to change my name back to my maiden name, how can I do this?

It’s 6:45am, and my EV is not charged and has not started charging. I plugged it in yesterday at about 5:30pm.The Charge Anytime app said it was planning my charge to start after 8pm. Then this message changed to ‘planning your next charge’ (ready by 07:00 tomorrow) up until midnight then changed to ‘ready by 07:00 today’It worked fine the two other times I’ve used overnight charging. The Volvo car app shows the cable has connected but is not charging. The Hypervolt app shows no charging taking place, and that it’s under the control of ‘OVO mode’.Not sure what to do next as all the apps seem to be working and charger is locked into car - help!Any advice appreciated  

Basically as above.i have tried online but it just says am already on charge anytime and doesn’t give me a option to add a monthly subscription.i have tried the charge anytime app but that says monthly subscriptions are handle via the website and wants me to login via the website.went on chat but the person just kept asking what I needed help with.so am kinda stuck now.

I’ve recently bought a house which has solar panels already installed (no battery storage) along with the FiT Scheme. I have transferred ownership and I just have a few general/basic questions regarding the solar panels/FiT scheme. I’m only querying this as my neighbour in the same size house/same number of occupants (2 adults) is roughly £40 a month cheaper than us in energy bills without solar panels.I have just submitted my first generation reading to OVO and will receive my first payment in December. OVO have said that I am paid for any excess energy that I generate. Are the solar panels directly powering some appliances in my house and if so why don’t I see the benefits on my energy bill?  On average we use roughly 380kW per month and have a smart meter just for our electricity. Apologies for the basic questions, I just want to make sure I understand it all before selecting our new tariff. Thanks

Hi all, Could anybody tell me what the actual requirements for a smart metre are? OVO said they offer them in my area, then said “I don’t meet the eligibility as they tried to fit one previously”  We bought the house in 2023. Previous owner was 95 and did not even have internet.  The original metre, has since been replaced by Scottish Power to due during a full rewire it came to light the previous metre had been tampered with. The original metre was also completely inaccessible due to it being behind a built in unit which has since been removed. I have guess to explain this to OVO and all I get is “you don’t meet the criteria, but wont tell me what the criteria is? We own the house, metre is easily accessible.  We have since bought an EV and want to move to an EV Tariff but they all require a smart metre.  Any help is appreciated! 

Hi, I live in Dundee, Scotland which is a fairly large city, senior citizen currently on pre payment meter THTC and know all about the RTS switch off. Made arrangements with OVO to change over to pay as you go Smart meter, Engineer arrived yesterday and couldn't do the switch as the Smart meter failed to connect, he sent the relevant information to OVO that no installation had been made, what happens next?Engineer just said let OVO figure it out, can someone help

Noticed in my Charge Anytime App today it states “CA is moving” and we need to download and use the OVOcharge App to carry on using CA.I don’t remember seeing any emails about this so just curious what (if anything) changes for CA and any impact?I’ve downloaded the new app but it doesn’t recognise my login so looks like it needs a new registration. How will that impact existing CA account, credits and history etc? 

I purchased a new Cupra Born in September.My new car purchase made me eligible to claim 30,000 free miles under the VWG promotion (10,000 miles per year over 3 years).Due to this I moved from Octopus to Ovo.I signed up to charge anytime and was initially being charged 7p per kwh.My first year of free miles was credited to my account - valued at £212.12. I believe this is based on 10,000 miles at a 3.5 mile per kwh charged at 7p per kwh.I was advised that charge anytime would be changing on the 4th November and the charge would be going up to 14p per kwh.However... as I was part of the VWG promotion, I was advised I would be staying on the 7p per kwh rate. This makes complete sense as if I pay 14p per kwh, I would only be getting 5,000 miles a year. I have since charged my car on the 5th November and was charged 14p per kwh. So can someone please explain what is going on and why I am being charged 14p per kwh?
