Why has my standing charge gone up from:24.61p per day in 2022 to43.39p per day in 2023 to60.31p percday from 1st April 2024?This is way higher than inflation.

So my electric is with OVO who recently just upgraded my smart meter to a SMETS2 meter with a IHD 3. My gas is with British Gas who installed a SMET2 smart gas meter.  I was told by both engineers who installed these meters that I'll be able to see live usage on my in home display with both of these meters. However, my gas usage is not showing up on my in-home display and it's been 3 days since installation.  I spoke to someone from OVO who was determined that two different suppliers can't be showing on one in home display.  I spoke to British gas and they're telling me to wait and the usage will show up on my IHD 3.  Apparently my gas smart meter is communicating with my electric meter because the gas light on the SMETS2 meter flashes and flashes every 5 secs.  Why will my gas usage not show up on my IHD and isit even possible to do so?  Thanks 

I’m hoping somebody can help me as I feel like I’ve tried everything! I recently moved into a house with a Mitsubishi Ecodan Heatpump and heatmiser neostat thermostats. Downstairs there is underfloor heating which is working perfectly with the thermostats. However, there are radiators upstairs which are also supposed to be controlled by a single neostat, but this seems to have lost connection to the Ecodan. Does anybody know how I go about re-pairing the neostat to the ecodan so that it can control the radiators? It looks like there is 2 zones on the ecodan system - one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Any help would be very much appreciated!

I recently switched to a cheaper nighttime tariff and want to set my hot water to come on mainly during the night, with a short boost in the early evening. I've set the DHW schedule for the right times but for some reason it still comes on outside of the schedule before the maximum temp drop should kick in. The tank temp is set to 50° with a reheat drop of 15° and this morning is was heating when the tank temp was at 44°. It also wasn't anything to do with the legionaries setting as this had only been run a few days ago.I have the MELCloud app setup with a schedule for the heating and have tried switching this off to only rely on the control unit schedule and this doesn't seem to help either.I've attached a screen shot of my last 24hrs temp history which shows yesterday evenings temp boost and since then it hasn't dropped below the 35° that should start the reheat cycle, so as far as I can tell it shouldn't have been coming on this morning.Does anyone know why this might be happening?T

Our electric went off about 10.30 today and I put £15 emergency onI topped up £99  just gone 1.30 some 4 hours later and it shows £88.06 credit, where has the £11 gone when its said id only used 25p in that time?PAYG meter and ive never had a debt on it. I've only got one so I avoid quarterly bills.It showed id used 25p off the emergency credit of £15 before I put the £99 on.Im confused by this can anyone explain why this has happened please. Tia.

Hi Im trying to phone OVO to discuss my account.I confirm all the security stuff then it gives me 3 options -1. Give a meter reading 2. Make a card payment 3. Hold for anything else I hold then it says "sorry you can't get through, we're closed right now." Even though they're open!Been trying to speak to them since yesterday. Anyone experiencing this or have an alternative number to 0330 303 5063? Cheers

In recent weeks there has been an issue with charging my car. The car gets stuck in a state of initializing. At the moment I plug it in and it's charging up to 25% but then for some reason it's not coming back on later. There are no other settings either on my SyncEV charging unit or in the Porsche that should be impacting this. And I have made no changes from when it was previously working. Given that is getting to 25% I am definitely thinking this as an issue with the OVO charge anytime process. I think the Indra integration is setting the future departure time in the Porsche app (currently scheduled for Wed 15th Oct, today is Saturday 11th October), which I am told is standard.  However the car now doesnt charge fully either during the day or overnight. 

Hi!I have just bought a new electric Mercedes CLA and on Wednesday OVO are scheduled to install a smart meter. I was planning to get an Ohme Pro charger installed, but I now see that there are problems with OVO and Ohme Pro not talking to each other properly.  What should I do?John

I have previously spoken to some of you regarding an Air Source Heat Pump System.  I had such a lot of help and you were all wonderful putting my mind at rest. Well now my disabled partner has just come out of an unexpected hospital stay.and is recovering from a severe infection.  We still haven't had our heating system  replaced so we are relying in electric fires as its getting chilly.  Is there anything  Ovo offers as obviously I dont work my electricity bill is going to rise sky high but I need to keep my partner warm and we live in a rural area  Any ideas??  

Hi, Any idea why my gas meter sends smart reading but electric doesn’t?  

I have moved to a home which was supplied by OVO. I received a letter with my account number but when I try to set up My OVO, I get an error that my information is incorrect (I think I know what my birthdate is so not sure what OVO’s problem is).I have tried calling you - 45+ mins waiting time with no luck of speaking to one of your reps;  I tried chat - number 160 in the queue so maybe I’ll be able to speak to someone by 10pm this evening?; I would love to get back to my previous supplier once I sort this nonsense out, their customer service was brilliant. So please someone let me know how I can set up an account, I pay you for my first month and I leave you ASAP and go back to Octopus. 

I only have one active account for my new address, but two closed accounts from previous addresses still show up when I log on. How do I delete these please? Thanks!

I've found out that I'm leaving OVO later this month as I've switched. I haven't - I've no idea who I'm supposed to have switched to. It was only because I was looking online for my statement that I noticed the 'Sorry you are leaving' message - how do I stop this happening, how do I prevent it happening again, how do I find out who I'm meant to be switching to, and will this effect my fixed rate status? Sorry lots of questions!

Hi just wanted to check if anyone knows what happened here, I went onto my £15 emergency credit and let it get down to about £5, then topped up £10 which it said was accepted, but the balance didn't increase on my meter, I'm just wondering if this will register when I top up again to take it off emergency credit, or if this top up is lost now because it didn't take me off emergency credit, thanks for any help

Hi,I have looked at this these threads in the past and always found them detailed and informative - but this is the first time i have put my head above the parapet to ask a question, so apologies in advance if this has been well covered previously. *I live in south of the UK in a rural location and my property has a split (2) phase electricity supply rated at 200A per phase and is currently metered by a Elster A1140 CT meter.  The meter is modern but operates in single tariff “dumb” mode so requires periodic manual meter readings to be taken.I am keen to access a wider range of modern electricity tariffs but getting a meter that can facilitate this seems a bit of a challenge.  I have been told that SMETS2 meters (even polyphase ones) seem to only go to 100A per phase so they aren’t an option.  Most Domestic Electricty supply companies I discuss this with are unable to offer any other options.  Some Business Electricity Suppliers have indicated that our set up is more common on the Comm

Moved into HMO in January 2025. We pay our bills through our rent.Following the advice online, I sent all mail to previous tenants back with a sticker reading "return to sender, addressee no longer here," or similar.Saturday 27th September we get a visitor at the door who leaves us a letter saying the previous tenant owes almost £2k. Housemate 1 explained the previous tenant hasn't lived here since before January.Monday 29th Housemate 2 calls to confirm what Housemate 1 said.Saturday 4th October, another letter, which I open even though it's addressed to previous tenant. Letter says this is a final notice, and someone could show up and install a PAYG meter with the £2k already applied, so we would have to cough up that amount before even being able to use electricity.I send OVO an email saying absolutely not, this is not our debt.
