How can I find out which public chargers are compatible with Ovo's charging card?

I can use Zapmap to find chargers but might not get the saving by using the card.

I want to find a compatible chademo charger near Gatwick airport and there's currently no way of doing so.

Hey everyone! We’ve chatted about this in private messages for testing, but just to let everyone know, there is a search function available! You can find it conveniently at the top right corner of the map.

A quick shoutout to @Gingernut49: when you tried it the other day, it didn’t show up right away, but the good news is that you were able to see it today! Thanks for flagging it up and hopefully it’ll be helpful for other members who didn’t know it existed.

Good idea. My car will search for chargers on its network. Seems a waste if you take out an OVO contract you can't find associated chargers

Doesn’t the OVO Charge app list all compatible chargers?

App shows chargers that are included in the OVO scheme and those that are not. This is normal as most apps filters can be set to show all or just those that can be triggered using the app. At the last count I had 12+ charging apps on my phone and in 5 years probably only bothered to used them 3 times to start a charge. If you are not charging weekly on public chargers you do not need to sign up for any subscriptions.

If you select Account > Devices > [then select your car] > Add Vehicle Spec > Plug types,
you should be able to set the plug type as CHAdeMO. Then the map should only show compatible chargers.
However, I’m not sure if that part of the app is working correctly yet. You’ll have to try it yourself. I’m charging my car at home at the moment, so don’t want to mess with the app.

If you filter by CHAdeMo and then turn off the “Show non-OVO Charger” option that should narrow things down.

I’d suggest the Instavolts at McDonalds, Gatwick Road, RH10 9AX. There are eight CHAdeMO connections on that site.
