Questions to solve

I have a Easee charger and BMW IX3 Neue Klasse accessing Charge via the Charge Anytime app. No schedules are setup on the Charger or car, the charging is controlled via OVO on am Ipho e running IOS Ver 26.6.1. It has been working for 2 months without issue and Sept 2026 I saw odd results in the app.The car did charge overnight to the desired charge limit Even though the car was charging the app said not connected  the app did not show me the option to overide the OVO schedule and charge immediately the app did not sync to the car charge % after the charge the app did not show me the charge details e.g. kWh, Cost saving. I deleted the app and reloaded with no change.Anyone had similiar/same issues starting September and identified the issue?

There doesn’t appear to be an Alpine option on the compatible cars list for ev charging? For Alpine gts 

Are any forum members with a tariff with the peak and off peak at the same rates  

Good morning!  So i am trying to set up an account, as the previous tenants in my new flat used ovo, and i used energy for about a month before switching, however whenever i try to set up an account it asks for an account number, which i don’t have. The account number on the bills is clearly linked to the previous tenants. Ovo are also trying to charge me for energy used before i moved it + the debit buildup by the previous tenants but that’s a situation for when i have an account set up. Thank you!

On the OVO Charge App, should my car show just as a generic type, or should it be my specific car (i.e. VIN number/Registration number)?On my OVO Charge App, under Account/Devices/Car there is a list of cars and models that presumably the OVO App supports and I have added my car model (Renault 5 E Tech 52kWh 150hp) and this (under “Vehicle Specs” in the OVO App) lists battery size and charging speed so that OVO knows what charge the connected car is capable of receiving; I assume.It does leave me with the question of whether my specific car needs to link to the OVO App (and I don’t see a way yet of doing this) or whether this generic model link is the way to link the vehicle to OVO scheduling.Sorry its a basic question!

Anyone know how often OVO qualifies additional/new EV chargers? Mine is the L series from FoxESS and while I use it using solar or pay full tariff price I am locked out taking advantage of any of OVO’s EV tariffs. 

What time of day is the reading submitted if I’ve opted for a daily rading?

My renewal plan is only showing a Gas tariff. I want dual fuel tariffs. Have contacted OVO numerous times but no update on the renewal plan in the App. What else can I do?

I can’t believe that I am back on the OVO forum trying to resolve an issue with OVO! I have just spent over an hour looking at the OVO web site (I am an OVO acc holder) and reading all the good news about EV charging and the great deals that are offered.  I called and spoke to an operative and he confirmed that my car, a Kia EV3, registered this year, is valid and can take advantage of the improved tariff.  I checked on the web site and it also shows and EV3 as being suitable.  So, I set up the add on to my account.  All good.  Then I go onto the OVO Charge app (which is the only way to set up charging, it seems), set up my car and it says that, at this time, only the EV6 is recognised!!!!!!!!!  Really?  So the OVO site says that everything works with EV3, the person at OVO said that it works with EV3, the OVO site allowed me to set up the add on to my account but actually it doesn’t work at all. Having already read a bit, I can see that the moderators will come back and say “not our f

Hi! I just moved to my flat about a month ago and I'm still trying to figure out everything. I noticed a something strange yesterday, when I tried turning on off peak and normal supply between 12:30 and 7:30 which is my off peak period, the off peak active light did not come on but later on in the day by between 7 am and 12pm it came on and I had to turn it off as it was charging me heavily. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue please? 

Hi i need some advice please i have just been advised by Octopus that they can't take me on as a Solar Panel  Customer because Ovo won't let me go due to debit on my account. I registered with them in April kept in contact  because they weren't contacting me they assured me everything was fine  until August only then did they inform me that there is a problem with import because i am still a customer with Ovo. They also raised a complaint for me but have told me thst they can't backdate any earnings from Solar Panels either. Ovo have told me due to my new heating sytem they don't do an Economy 7 heating tarriff....even though they promised me that they could when i initially explained to them about the new installation. Can anyone advise me please?

We have a brand new Hypervolt Charger, and OVO as our utility provider, and I'm using the OVO Charge App on their Charge Anytime rate as it suits our lifestyle. Hypervolt has a direct charging arrangement with OVO, so those two apps seem to work seamlessly, and (as I would expect) the Charger App shows OVO setting the scheduling, and the OVO App shows the Hypervolt charger. Because we have a flexible lifestyle we don’t need to charge overnight and set schedules, so all we’re trying to do is the most basic operation which is to plug in the car whenever it needs a charge, and at any time of day, and the OVO tariff gives us a flat discounted rate for that.  We had eight successful charges. I would plug in, make sure the car scheduling (via MyRenualt App) was Off, and set to Instantaneous Charging and then click on “Charge Now” in the car App. Although there would be a pause each time of a few minutes, and the command seems to not get through a few times, this charging worked 8 times in a

Ive had an email to say my fixed tariff is coming to its end. Ive had a look at the fixed tariffs available to me with Ovo and Ive also done a tariff comparison with other suppliers. I can get a much cheaper tariff elsewhere. My question is if I call customer services and give them the details of what I can get with other suppliers is there a deal to be done? Similar to what can be done with insurance renewals. I would happily stay with Ovo if they can match, or come very close to, the kwh and standing charges I can get with another company.

Does anyone know what type of Solar Panel OVO partners supply, specifically monochrystaline or other?

when i sign onto my profile where it should show me how much i owe it just says a problem has occured. i can see my usage, and i can see the readings my smart meter is sending. but i cant see how much i owe so i dont know how much to pay of course. it has been saying to check back later for 6 weeks since i moved into this flat. 

I’ve been a customer since 2014, and have been using the app for about 2 years, yet have only accrued 2 of 5 solar panels. This number hasn’t changed for nearly a year.Are free solar panels no longer being offer?

Hello all,I have a regular topup amount thats automatically taken from my bank account every month, I want to increase the payment, but there’s no longer any option to manage it in the new app or on the topup portal.If it releveant - this is PAYG electric with a SmartMeter.Any help is appreciated.

Hi,I have a traditional electricity meter which is faulty and needs to be replaced. There is restricted room to install a new meter - even the existing traditional meter overhangs the back-board that it is attached to (this is possible because the screw holes for mounting the meter are located in areas where the back-board is available).It seems that only Smart Meters can be installed now as no replacement traditional meters are available. The Smart Meters are larger than the traditional ones and I can see the dimensions shown in other posts on this forum. One thing I haven’t been able to get is a mounting / screw template for the new Smart Electricity Meters. Having such a template would help me to work out if a new meter can be installed on the existing back-board, or whether a complete reconfiguration of the meter cupboard and it’s contents is required. I have change the vehicle for a new IX3 50 and other won't connect yo the app.I have disconnected and reconnect several time sand felt t for an hour to settle down and them done it all again.Iknow there ws a problem integrating with BMW but i though t td been sorted

Hi, I am new to EV and have Ovo charge and a HyperVolt Charger. Made it work during the day but after stopping  with Boost sought to fill up to 80% by overnight scheduled charge. No charging! Advice?

Hi AllI have a new EV car and signed up for the Charge Anytime Tarriff, I see a credit against the tariff, but I seem to be paying for my full electricity usage (and the tariff on top) it doesn't seem to be reflecting the EV charge out of the total which is double my usage compared to last year?  I’ve seen that at the beginning of each month it should credit this back but for me it’s charging for the tariff, crediting back a small amount, but still charging me for the full consumption.  (This is the 3rd month on the tariff now)Anyone else getting this issue?  Thanks
