Looking to see if anyone has converted their Indra smart pro from WiFi to Ethernet Mine is on WiFi but it’s not reliable so want to move it to Ethernet getting hold of Indra is difficult and all I have had so far is one response saying any loc electrician can do the work  but I am sure you would need to go into the settings on the installer app to tell the charger to use Ethernet instead of WiFi  so can anyone confirm if this can be done without being a registered Indra installer ? 

Does anyone have any information re economy 10 tariff that was supposed to be available before the end of this year?

I managed to get a code for a free Costa coffee, it was in fact a gift card for £4. However after downloading the QR code and turning up at a Costa and placing my order the code didn’t work at their till. They said read out the gift card number and they would type it in but the QR code does not have a number shown with it. has anyone successfully managed to get this to work?

Hi,I’ve been advised that I can join this trial.Problem is, this is my first winter using a heat pump so I have no comparable data to see if using this App/Company would make any difference to my costs.Also, I’m not sure I would be comfortable with a very fledging company (2024) taking over control of my heating/water system.With regard to hot water, it seems to function in reverse to what I use at the moment, i.e. my hot water is set to come on at 1pm, their system has the hot water ready at 1pm.  I’m not sure how they know when to start heating the water in order to have it ready by a certain time.Any comments?CBJ 

With a lot of news stories in last few days about OVO missing its resilience targets set for it by Ofgem, should we be worried about our energy suppliers ability to remain suitably solvent?Will this mean customers having to have their Direct Debits further inflated to maintain at least 2 months worth of energy payments by the end of March 2026, or will we be supplied by Scottish Power by then?

Hi,We’ve been using the Ovo / Charge Anytime App for the last 6 months and in general it has worked well for the supported car & delivered savings (but less well for our Kia which is in Beta).However there was an App Update this week, and the “Urgent Charge” button has disappeared from the Dashboard page that we used to use when needing an urgent charge during the day.Has anyone else had the same issue, and if so what is the new way to get an urgent charge (other than setting the car to privacy mode..)Also, in the last week we have had issues where the car is not charging to the required level overnight (eg 80% or 100%) even if plugged in for 12 hours…as example last night it only charged from 25% to 54% having been plugged in for 12 hours - has anyone else had the same issues and if so figured out a workaround?Thanks 

Hi, my new Cupra Born arrives tomorrow so I need to get set for home charging.I don't have the charger yet but Cupra offer a deal where they supply it although I don’t actually know what model or when it will happen.I’ve looked at the links to Charge Anytime plans but there’s so much info it’s hard to know where to start.  Since the car is from Volkswagen group it seems there is a special arrangement in place but I don’t really understand it.  Should I be looking at a plan or Pas you go, or are these the same thing?Other people I know with EVs are with Octopus Energy so I haven’t been able to get any friendly help.Please can the forum please help to simplify things for me. Many thanks,  Bruce

Hi guys,  i wonder if anyone could help. The batteries died in my est wireless thermostat for a couple of days a couple weeks ago. Now even tho i put the reauired temp above room temp and there is the little flame on it as the heating is on, it just doesnt turn it on. Anyone has any idea what i could do? I am close to giving up 😀 thank you

Hi, I have 2 electric cars and hoping to use Charge Anytime for them,I can see a response from OVO on a similar question 8 months ago where they said a new app update would allow this and was imminent, it seems this has not happened yet.Does anyone have any realistic workaround before I give up and change suppliers, thanks in advance 

I need to cancel my smart meter installation booking for tomorrow but the online links don’t work either via the booking email that was sent OR via the OVO portal. OVO phone lines are also shut. Have emailed hello ovo email address hoping that might do the trick. Any other ways of getting this cancelled given the online links don’t work? Thanks  

I don’t get the hype and that they actually save money! You use what you use and don’t really want to get over excited about checking home displays every five mins. Benefit for me, though is topping-up (PAYG) meter without having to find a working sweet shop terminal.

I keep getting emails from OVO tellignme that “Your electricity meter will be affected soon”and to replace my RTS.However, we don’t have an RTS, just an old Venner timeswitch (photo attached), so am I okay to just ignore the email?The timing on the Venner is a bit dodgy, but since we have Economy 7 but don’t tend to use it I’m not really worried about that. 

why is it so late getting the daily report for the day before dual fuel, have to wait until late evening to see on the web report how much electricity I have used even though having a smart meter giving reports every half hour can never get a proper answer from OVO even though several times of asking. 

Hi all, I recieved an email for a power up 3pm-4pm on Sunday 17th August. I opted in and took part. However last weeks results email didn't show my result, despite the email saying results 11th-17th august. I have just recieved this weeks email and it only shows 18th-24th.So where is the missing result?Did anyone else opt in to this session and find their result missing from the weekly results email ?

We have had smart meter since early 2025, seg account started in July, ovo requires manual seg readings every three months, everything I've read says smart meters should send readings automatically, yet ovo seg dept insists it can't be done at moment but may be in future, is there something they are not telling me ???

Has anyone else had trouble with charge anytime limiting charging to the car. I've set my car to charge overnight, with plenty of time to get to 100%, but when I check at 7am it's not fully charged. When I look in my charger log it's only been charging at 3.5kwh and not the full 7kwh, hence it's not fully charged. Is there a fix for this? When first plugged in, it charges at 7kW, but then when it stops and reschedules the charging for the middle of the night, it seems limited (probably by the car) to 3.5kw. If there isn't a fix for this, ita pretty useless, and given the rates are doubling to 14p/kW, it might be time to leave.  I have an Audi Q4. 

I hope this makes a bit of sense. I moved into a property supplied by a supplier (electricity only) sometime in June. However, I didn't get to set up the account until September. While trying to do that, my supplier had a bit of an issue linking my address to their system and while my complaint about the issue has been escalated and assurances received, there doesn't seem to any positive news from their end at this moment. Tbh, the whole process has put me off staying with them so I want to switch.  Also, while trying to link my address to their system, I set up my online account and choose a variable tarriff with no exit fee with the hope that I can switch easily when the time comes. So presently, I am just waiting for the bills to be sent to my address so I can switch. (But if I can switch before then, I want to). Summarily, I wish to switch to Ovo whilst my supplier is still trying to set up my electricity account. Will I encounter any issue doing this switch considering my supplier

Anyone else's charge history/savings vanished completely from the ‘new’ Ovo Charge app? Seems like it gone from quite a few peoples app history, with some users also reporting they don't get any charge credit for last nights charging.  The old app seems to still have Septembers history intact, only seems to have affected the newer Ovo Charge app.  Would be good to get an update on what's happening from Ovo.

I got a credit for the July Power Move Flex for Charge Anytime, then an email half way through August with an update saying I’d earned £6 but since then no credit on September bill or any further update.  I emailed Ovo and got a reply referring me to help on Power Move!   I replied to that explains it was Power Move Fles I was enquiring about and have heard nothing back.   Anybody else having issues?

I know this has been said before about 7 months ago, but the email notice is much too short. I’ve just received an email for today at 2pm. I’ve opted in but it’s a waste of time, as I have nothing to shift at this point. It’s a shame, as I think it’s a good trial. 

Does anyone know if the long range radio coms in the north  of the UK will be phased out in favour of the new Vodafone 4G network and if so the likely time frame. My smart meter was installed in November 2022 and refuses to connect to the Arquiva network. The local transmitter is I believe at Winter Hill which can be seen from my property but there is no signal at my property. The meter has been power cycled several times and they have tried at least six different 420 coms units. I believe the only way forward is to install a 4G coms unit but I’m not sure if they will be made available for the north west?Thanks  

My mother in law lives in a sheltered flat with storage heaters (probably 20 years old).  The storage heaters only have input and output controls; they don't seem to have any timer or programming facility.  They were previously connected to a separate off peak meter. In October the meters were changed to smart meters on the domestic economy tariff, in preparation for the analogue signal being switched off.  Since then the peak usage has gone up by 300% and I suspect the heaters are drawing in power during both the off peak and peak periods. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this and knows what the solution is?  It was never a problem previously as the heaters only seemed to be connected to the dedicated off peak meter. Many thanks for any help.

HiI have an Anderson A2 charge point (240 serial number), that was installed the other day. It was working as a dumb charger. I have tried to connect to charge anytime, but it gave an error during the connection after I logged into my Andersen account via the charge anytime app and selected my charger serial number.  Unfortunately, I have now been logged out of the Anderson app and I cannot add the charger anymore. It just keep looping and asking to scan the QR code for the charger. Is this charger compatible with Charge anytime?

I have a Type One smart meter which often needs resetting by removing the battery; can I get an upgrade to a Type 2?

I have a SMETS 2 meter and when I checked my charges recently I discovered I was being overcharged at peak rates for a portion of my off peak use. My current smart meter was installed in February when the previous one stopped sending data.Since February I calulate that I have already been over charged by over £60.My OVO app (and my TESLA battery app) report the half hourly data and agree with the data reported on my bill. The total electricity consumption I am billed for is correct but the allocation of cost to peak versus off peak use is wrong and seems to vary month to month. I am 79, not very techy, so can anyone explain this? I have in dispute with OVO now for nearly eight weeks (very unhelpful) so if I cant get a resolution I have to go to OffGem.
