Can anyone help I topped up my smart/not so smart electric meter on Saturday with £10 just before it was due to run out. Well I’mnow running on friendly credit the £10 has been taking out of my bank I’ve tried entering the UTRN code but it says its already been used. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me and I usually keep putting extra money on. I’m so fed up with this I keep having to go outside to look at my balance as my indoor display never works. I’m fed up with OVO I never had a single issue with my previous supplier.

I’ve recently got the charge anytime app to charge my Lexus NX450h+. this is the Beta version which I assume is on trial.I’ve noticed that the amount of charge given in the app doesn’t correspond with my usage. IE on the most recent charge the charge anytime app says 6.1 kwh but on my bill the Kwh used for the same period was 8.66Kwh.From what I can work out so far is that the app is communicating with the car and not the charger {the charger is not a smart charger its an AAB wall box  fitted by B Gas on behalf of Lexus at a discounted rate].I’m wondering if the app only recordsKwh received by the car and not the amount of Kwhs generated through the charger.I haven’t had any luck trying to get help from OVO at the moment.

Hello, Just had an Indra Pro EV charger fitted today, followed all sets by manufacturer and OVO to set up with charge anytime app. However, when it comes to linking the charger to Ovo, it says “Cannot link charger with OVO as no available charger found.” i can see the charger, online in indra app. any ideas about this?? thanks 

When charging at home the app is showing charging away from home. I think I didn’t set the location correctly in the app. But there is no way to change it in the app. any suggestions??

Had been working fine for 6 months. Issue started on 5th May 2024. My Charge Anytime App is set to 80% by 8am. Arrived home at 6pm and plugged in, it started charging immediately for 2 minutes as usual and then paused. CA App reported ‘next charge after 1am’.Car was at 57% so after 1am would still be enough to charge, so all good. Happened to wake up at 3am, car was not charging. Opened the CA app and instead of saying ‘next charge after 1am’ it said ‘planning your next charge’. I went back to bed. At 8am CA app still said ‘planning your next charge’ at car was still at 57%. Had not charged all night.This was the first time it had ever failed, so I put it down to one of those things, and the next two charges were fine so guessed it was just a bug. However it’s now happened 3 times so I contacted CA support. Didn’t get a reply for a week, so I chased it again and then they replied. Was asked various questions about the car and charger, they checked logs.It’s been a few weeks now and the

As others have noted elsewhere, I am building up a considerable credit balance as my Charge Anytime credits are not being taken into account when calculating my monthly direct debit. About 70% of my electricity goes into charging my EV. The advice from OVO is to claim refunds as necessary. However:The help article says You can ask for a refund if your balance is in credit with at least a month’s Direct Debit amount. My current credit is very nearly double my monthly payment. When I try to claim the refund, I get We’re sorry we can’t give you a refund today. I meet all the criteria but it says we recommend keeping at least 3 months’ worth of Direct Debit payments as credit.There’s a mismatch here. I hope somebody from OVO can explain and, I hope, correct.

I have an Indra Smart Pro charger that is set up with Charge Anytime and I have been using it successfully with my Volvo for many months. I believe that I am dependent upon the charger being compatible with OVO and not the car so in my case the Charge Anytime app is a bit redundant but I could be wrong! Either way I never have to think about it and just plug it in and it’s easy every morning  We recently changed our other car for a VW EV but the charger will not charge it!The car says there is a problem with the charger when plugged in and the charger acknowledges it is plugged in but does nothing  the charger cycles through various states flashing lights in different colours etc but whatever happens it still doesn’t charge  I have plugged it in and left it overnight to see if the smart charging kicks in but nothing  After several hours of turning things on and off in settings in the car, I did get it working once by plugging it in and boosting then after an hour stopping boosting and

In the desktop version of the Ovo website I’ve always been able to see how much my EV has cost for the month, and how much my house. I enter the details into a spreadsheet every month end.That’s gone today and the only detail I can see now is my “savings” on the Ovo Beyond app.I wish they’d stop messing about. :( 

I've had a recent bill but noticed that the ovo sort code has changed for bank transfers and I'm a bit wary of making the payment. Has anyone else had this ?

We have a sub-meter (where we are charged an arbitrary % of total bill of the landlord) which we wish to change to a main meter so that we have control over our usage and chargesQuestion 1Is it possible to ‘convert’ the sub-meter into a main meter? I opted in for free electricity last Sunday, but OVO said I hadn't. Are there conditions?

I am so frustrated with OVO. We moved into a property 12 weeks ago and were already signed up to another supplier. The property is very old and has been vacant for a few years. We started (and are still getting) bills for previous owners. Like others on this site we sent evidence of completion dates, proof of being signed up and billed by our own supplier, and still the matter is not resolved. Our own supplier can see we are registered with them on the central register and not with OVO. We have never defaulted on bill paying. I am so stressed and spent a long time last night sending exactly the same proof again. Twice I’ve had a ‘so sorry we sometimes get things wrong…we’ll be in touch in two days’ and twice I just get more bills. And sometimes I even get, we’re sorry your details don’t match an account with us. No kidding, maybe it’s because I’ve never been an OVO customer. OVO please sort out your practices. Thank you 

Hi, So it’s 2pm in the afternoon and just plugged in and car started charging immediately. That’s OK if it’s doing a smart charge and I don’t need it charged until tomorrow. however if I look at the Hypervolt app, it’s got the session down as a Boost charge. I believe there is some back end processing which determines whether you get the cheap rate or the Boost rate, but would be nice if the app showed what should be happening. The OVO app does have it down as a smart charge.  anyone else had similar? colin

Had one installed for the first time about 6 weeks ago, was told not to send in my own readings, but to let the meter sort itself out which could take a couple of months.Logging into my online account today it says:---Your electricity smart meter hasn't sent us any readings lately. To keep your account up to date, you'll need to send us regular manual readings.--- So, do I still wait, or fill in the online thingy to tell them my usage, or will that break something if I do ?I notice it says for entering meter reading:Off-PeakPeakOn the meter itself I says:Rate1 = 328 kwhRate2 = 883 kwhWhich is off peak and which is peak. :-)It also mentions+A Value is 01212 kwhThat seems to be alll the information the meter is willing or able to hand out.

Good morning. I am on a bill monthly account but always make sure I am in credit so log in daily to keep an eye.  Im very careful with usage of gas/electric I only put my heating on when needed usually twice for an hour or 2 when freezing in the evenings and only to keep dampness away as i tuck myself up with electric blanketIf I have my grandbabies I keep it running and last week I had them for 1 days and 1 night so kept on heating all day as both under 2years Ive been worried about the cost of usage but I must be in the twilight zone as price doesnt make sense. The Wednesday my heating was on all day and tuesday was a ‘regular’ day but look at the difference in cost?  Does this seem right?Im in a 3 bed semi bungalow with windows that desperately need replacing so very very draughtyThank you in advance   

Hi, New here and 1st post but I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with my gas usage and trying to get ovo to accept it as been challenging.Saying we used 26873 kwh in 11 days which is ridiculous 

OVOS LEGAL OBLIGATION have/will be  left without ANY Heating and Hot Water for  2 weeks, in the 'minus' degree centigrade temperatures. I have taken extra insurance [Boiler Cover] over the last 4 years to mitigate this risk. I have been told today that the issue will not be fixed until December 9, possibly December 12 at the earliest. Time line of events:June 25 : Boiler serviced by Corgi Homecare Plan 24-7  as part of an OVO policy I have had for 4 years. November 23: Boiler failedNovember 23: Called Corgi told to repressureize the Boiler [Myself] - Completed WorkedNovember 24: Failed Again 10pm - Called Corgi Engineer to visit November 26November 26: Engineer visits need apparently 4 new parts asked Corgi/OVO to call me, to confirm parts orderedNovember 27: No CallNovember 28: No Call - I called 5 times for over an hour was told we will call November 29November 29 - No Call so I called again - Parts not ordered or authorised for payment. makes complaint asks for customer service mana

I’ve set up Charge Anytime account and put my house on the map during set up. My car is on the drive charging now but app is saying it is not at home (so it charges as soon as I plug in).There are no settings option in the app to adjust things like my location??Anything I can do?

Joined the latest Power move flex for charge anytime, but after 2 weeks the charger failed. It has now been replaced and the new charger linked to charge anytime. Will it now automatically continue to record sessions for flex, need to be linked in some way, or will I now need to reapply?

I haven’t made any contributions to my private pension either, so nothing more to add to our family budget.   Also if something happens to my partner before me I’m entitled ½ his work private

My father has recently passed away. For ease we always had account in my name and the dd came from my account. So we rang OVO to say house is now empty, can we please reduce DD to a more acceptable amount until house is sold. Apparently this is not possible! So it was suggested that as account had a very large credit balance that the DD was cancelled and future bills would come off the balance. All seemed ok.Since then I have had daily phone calls from collection agents, telling me the DD has been cancelled. This is now verging on harassment. How can I stop this?

Morning all. Recently got the keys to our new home who was supplied with Ovo previously which we have decided to go with also but we need smart meters due to having an EV & Plugin Hybrid but keep getting message saying not eligible. The meter in our new home is the old wheel type meter also. We have had the consumer unit replaced but need the meters replaced.
