3 times this year I have received a bill which covers just 1 day (or zero days) after my usual bill has been issued. My billing period is 6th to 5th. I don't have a DD, & I don't have a smart meter. I pay for what I use monthly. I give a meter reading on the 6th of each month.Looking on the website the usual bill for 6th Aug - 5th Sept was ready, but there was also a bill for 6th Sept - 7th Sept. On 2 previous occasions I've had "zero" day bills for 6th July - 6th July, and 6th April - 6th April. I emailed OVO on 2 previous occasions about these spurious bills. I received a phone call back, but they couldn't explain why this was happening. There appears to be some kind of glitch in their billing system. I was wondering if anyone else has had these.Another odd thing is that the amount that I owe on the email I receive doesn't correspond to the total amount of the bills when added together. I had an air source heat pump installed as part of the ECO4 grant earlier this year.Out of the blue, I was then told that I was eligible for financial help with electricity bills.  This comes in the form of an evoucher from the AWS Energy Fund.  You use this to credit your electricity account.This is the question:  I still have credit from this payment on my Ovo account, but am thinking of changing suppliers.  Will Ovo credit me with this money?Many thanks, Cate

Hey everyone, this week I picked up a new mini cooper E from the dealer.I already had OVO at my house to upgraded to charge anytime.I have a smart charger but it isnt compatible with charge anytime so I have set it up as a dummy charger and troubleshooted to prove my charger isn’t causing any of my issuesWhen I set my “ready by” time, the car starts charging and then I get a notification from the mini app along the lines of “charging paused, it will resume again at..” confirming that ovo is speaking to the car. The charge anytime app will then state that charging will resume at 3am lets sayEvery morning I wake up, and I have a notification from mini at the time ovo said it would start charging to say “charging interrupted, check power supply and plug in again”I have troubleshooted and remove ovo charge anytime to test start/stopping charging through my mini app which works without issue, so my charger is happy to start and stop charging whenever my car decides so I’m confident that the

Hi all, Quick question - My charger is linked to Ovo Charge Anytime, not my car. So CA manages everything which is fine as it works as it should. I have a charging profile set up in the My Porsche app for my Taycan that I named '80' as its the one I use most of the time to charge the car to 80%. If I want to charge the car to 100% however, do I need to set up another charge profile in the Porsche app and set the minimum charge to 100%? Because as far as I know, if activate 'Direct Charging' within the Porsche app charging section, the charger (Zappi 2.1) will ignore any charging profiles that are active (for example my '80' profile) and charge the car to full 100% capacity. But here is my question - If I activate Direct Charging in order to get the car to 100%, will that mean the car is still charging on the cheap Ovo 7p per kWh or will Direct Charging mean its essentially like pressing 'Charge Now/Urgent Charge' in the Ovo app which means it charges at the higher rate of whatever dome

How long does a refund usually take to clear in your bank after the balance has been removed from your account? 

My meters are on the outside of my house with the garage between us. The ' in home display' constantly says ' lost connection '. Is it because its more than 2 metres from the meter or is it faulty? 

My new storage heaters are being installed next week and i need to change from single tariff to off/peak tariffs. Previously spoke to customer care without any success, any suggestions to what i should say would be appreciated. I am also having solar panels fitted under the ECO4 scheme . My preference is  (  1 year fixed E/10 MULTI RATE  i have a smart meter. 

Hi all,The Uber offer has disappeared, has it been removed or the partnership ended? It was the only offer I made use of so if it's gone permanently, a bit poor from OVO to not give any notice or communication to it's customers.

Power Flex Move trial now seems to be testing how little notice can be given of events.  Am I the only one who received less than two hours notice of events yesterday and today ?

Hello We moved out of our house on the 28th July but I’m struggling to submit final meter readings. I can’t submit via the app because it’s saying there are no meters associated with the account. I tried emailing using the email listed on the help centre page which is hello@ovoenergy.com  but I got an auto reply to say the address is no longer in use and to use the one on the help centre page. I can’t see any other email address listed so no idea what’s going on there.I tried the webchat option during the week but I was 44 in line and when I went back to check where I was in the queue, it reset and I had to start again. So I gave up. I did try calling but didn’t have much time to stay on the line because we’ve been moving. Any ideas how I can get the final meter readings submitted? Do I just need to grit my teeth and hang on the phone or is there an easier route?Thank you.Sarah 

Hi We have recently been offered the SEG Beyond Exclusive Tarriff but we are unsure as to whether we are eligible for this - a quick look at the T’s and C’s seem to say that (1) We must own the Solar Panels (2) We must be able to provide an Invoice for Panel ownership.We live in a housing association property - the Solar Panels were fitted by OVO in conjunction with our housing association (a fact which OVO must surely be aware of).Just looking for clarification of eligibility.

I have recently moved into a new build house with a heat pump system. Its a Daikin Altherma 4 with a 280 litre cylinder. The hot water is currently set to 45c on a reheat setting. I'm trying to make it as energy efficient as possible on the hot water side. I keep hearing so many different reports on which setting is best etc. We are a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 teens. We all normally shower etc in the evening and wash the dishes mainly in the evening, all of which happens roughly around 6pm to 8pm. I'm up at 6am for work and have a quick face wash etc around 6.30. The weekend is similar but sometimes the showers, baths happen during the day.  I have heard that Schedule and reheat is better than just reheat? If so, what kind of times should i be setting on and off, and what temps? Also is it better to have a longer set back temp. like 20 or 25c or just leave it currently at 10c? Also is eco better than comfort? At the moment, we find that 45c on reheat works fine, but i would like to g

I am a landlord of a property that contains several offices and one residential flat. We are housing a Ukranian family in the flat. They both have full time jobs now, so are paying utilities.  We want them to be able to access the government subsidy for energy bills, but the supply has a shared meter with the offices and is registered as a business.  There is one electricy meter and 2 gas meters (one for the flat). Is it possible to split the supply before the electricity meter and have a second installed and registered as a domestic supply and if so, what sort of cost?

Hello,we have recently switched from Scottish Power to OVO after moving into a new flat. We have a heat pump and have chosen OVO due to their heat pump add on. We do not have a smart meter yet, and wanted to get one installed.However, OVO is saying we are not eligible for a smart meter due to WAN issues. We live in Edinburgh, not in a rural place further north. Our neighbours have smart meters, some even with electricity supplied by OVO.Customer service has said to us to hire a private engineer who will check signal strength and then report back to OVO. How can this happen, and what should we do? Thank you in advance for any advice. 

Would I benefit from changing to a fixed rate tariff? I'm not sure if this a good idea or not? We changed to economy 9 earlier in the year. Would like to save a few £'s if possible.

Hi. I (we) come here because getting appropriate advice from manufacturer and/or installers is both conflicting and confusing. We are greener than grass with our first build. Trying to gain best knowledge as possible, but I'm this game,  20 people seem to have 20 opinions. Google led me to a very informative post from from 2 years ago  by ​@hydrosam. About a trial, pump size,  COP and LWT. I will do my best to summarise our needs etc and your responses would be most welcome. It's been a long build we started in 2011.  We have 4kw solar panels plus 11kw wind. The house is almost a passive build. Kingspan structurally insulated panels large new build detached 5 bedroom home 2 bathrooms and 2 ensuites plus downstairs shower.  Large entrance hall that has a void to the roof. Ground, first and second floors. I've bought the Indra Pro EV charger second hand as I needed to get one installed on a budget. Unfortunately it did not come with the CT clamp. I can't find any compatible clamp online as I am told they are not all created equal. The companies support won't provide the specs but will sell me one for £50 which is quite spicy and an unexpected blow to my budget. If anyone has the charger could you take a photo of your CT clamp? Perhaps any markings on the side, model or specs. If anyone knows the specs I'd be eternally grateful! I'd like to source this from a third party if possible if I can make a substantial saving.

Hi all,I've had my Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo for a couple of weeks now and have been using the Porsche mobile charger to top it up overnight as well as public chargers to charge the car.However, I had a Zappi 2.1 wall charger fitted yesterday by Ovo. The engineer set up my Charge Anytime app and the MyEnergi app. Then we noticed that within the CA app, it said it was being discontinued and recommended using the new Ovo Charge app. So we I downloaded that and set it up.Now, as I said I'm new to EV's and although the engineer went over everything with me yesterday and gave basic instructions on the Zappi, running through the different functions on the little screen on the box itself, fast forward to the next day and I'm struggling to remember everything he said.........DOH!!! I may be overthinking a lot of this and that the Charge Anytime system is maybe, actually as simple as it sounds - just plug in - set what time you want the car ready for the next day and let it do its thing?

Hi, we are in the Scottish Highlands and have been told we cannot currently have the THTC replaced by a smart meter due to signal issues, OVO currently have no alternative so we have been left with a fuzzy answer that they may have a solution in two months time. Hello group. I’ve had my ecodan for a number of years now, has a FTC5 ctler, honeywell DT92E wireless room thermostat and solar boost. I’ve tried to optimise with compensation curve but there has been something nagging away. The zones were set up as downstairs UFH zone 1 and zone 2 upstairs, which is switched by the DT92E. Or so I thought. At night it gets too warm. Very noticeable now we’ve just switched on a couple of the UFH stations (there are 4 separate thermostats, all linked to a central manifold). I set the DT92E at 15 deg C, (so zone 2 should not heat) but the rads are still coming on. It would seem that the UFH coming on, switches zone 2 as well. Under the bonnet of the system and I’ve noticed that - The reference temp is from the main controller unit only - i.e. the controller in the airing cupboard. The wireless control box sends a signal to switch on, when temp reached, and this would appear to be all run by the 3-way valve. Within the ecodan main control  box, there is no

My Direct Debit is currently on a three-month 10% discount holiday, following a DD amount increase I found excessive. One of the reasons I found it too high is that I fully expect to receive the Warm Home Discount on my account in November or December as I have for at least the past five winters. My new DD amount was set online on 12 August, and the first DD was taken on 27 August. I understand that the DD review takes place automatically ‘every three months.’ in my case it could make a big difference if the review takes place on 12 November (three months from confirmation of the amount) as opposed to after the third monthly DD is taken on 25 November. Past experience tells me that by that date, it should be clear whether and when the WHD will be applied to my account, with any luck rendering a change in the DD amount unnecessary.tl;drWhen does the clock start ticking for the three-month DD review?
