Morning all. Recently got the keys to our new home who was supplied with Ovo previously which we have decided to go with also but we need smart meters due to having an EV & Plugin Hybrid but keep getting message saying not eligible. The meter in our new home is the old wheel type meter also. We have had the consumer unit replaced but need the meters replaced.

Finally managed to get through on phone. Looped supply/shared fuse with neighbour seems to be the issue. Need DNO to give us our own supply to get EV charger installed and this will help get smart meter installed also.

Hi @PaulG91 ,

For this, I’d suggest asking the support team for a second look - they can dig deeper and tell you the reason for the block.

Ah yeah - that is a known blocker.

It means ALL your neighbours need to be in at the same time as you in order to resolve this as power needs to be temporarily knocked out for all of you at once.
