I have an EV due to arrive in about 2 weeks. We are with EDF and have solar panels on FIT, but no smart meter. We are looking to move to OVO Charge Anytime, but I am unclear about whether we will need a smart meter, whether I should get EDF or OVO to install it, and what order should the installation of smart meter and charger and account transfer happen. Can somebody advise please? I assume that we will need an Indra Smart Pro, but I would also be interested in whether that charger is also supported by other energy providers. The car is an Audi E-Tron if that makes any difference.

I am currently paying about 28p per unit in a fixed plan until November.  Since rates seem to have dropped to around 22p according to plans.ovoenergy.com for my postcode. it seems to me it would make sense to switch.  Will OVO allow the switch even though I am still within my fixed rate contract? 

Regarding yesterday's power move down, the email never provided the base figure for the hour. How do we calculate this?

What’s the process if any would I need to follow if I get a new inverter and battery storage in relation to my FIT payment, I’m not changing my panels so the solar generation will not change from the original install expectations from that point of view, any advice would be appreciated.

Solarman app on iphone not providing daily solar production. I did reinstalled the logger on my 8kw Megarevo with no success. Any suggestion please?? 

I have no hot water.  DHW is switched to pause automatically and tank water temperature stays at 14 degrees celcius.  Heating is running fine.  I tried to maual reset but didn’t help.  DHW is also paused automatically and everytime it pauses, “LJ” is flashing at the top left of the control screen.  I have no idea what “LJ” stands for, couldn’t find a clue from the Mitsubishi error code.  Please help.  Thanks

Hi I bought my Ohme charger in Dec. Just 6 months ago. It was supplied and installed by Ovo. When bought it was compatible with Charge Anytime.  I have 2 Questions.  1. I bought the Ohme in good faith from Ovo as it was compatible with Charge Anytime.  Will Ovo be providing me with a new compatible charger free of charge? 2. If no to above and I am forced to seek an alternative provider will Ovo wave the £95 early exit fee from my tariff?

I have solar panels and the majority of Power Move Flex times are when I am using no energy regardless of what appliances I have on because the solar panels are generating. It does not seem worth it to opt in.

Hello, I am new to Power Move and few weeks ago I was given 30 minutes of free electricity one day. It said I would get a credit on my next bill but have not seen anything yet, just was wondering if anyone could tell me when I would expect it? Also I filled in a form when joining and it said I would £5 credit but  nothing has appeared. Thank you. 

I have noticed since joining power move that the half hour reading before it starts is higher than it should be. How accurate are the timed readings ?

Why does the app tell me my smart metre didn't send enough data when I can still see my daily half hour usage every day up until now - Sunday?(Just a point out, I have half hourly readings for every day since the beginning which is over a year) 

I recently moved into an apartment. The previous tenants used OVO Energy and I would like to use them too. I have submitted my email address and have done so repeatedly, but no link has been sent to my email. How can I get urgent assistance?

Hi I have a UK government workplace voucher. Does ovo accept this as part payment for installation of home ev charger?

I have an Indra pro and solar power system with battery. I don’t want the car charger to draw from the house battery as this will reduce its lifespan. I manage this by setting a period in the inverter (eg 1030pm - 330am) as a window for charging the car.this means I need to specify a time for the charger to start. This used to be simple - set a schedule on the car and plug it in when I liked. since the new app has rolled out it seems this is impossible as I can’t set a start time. Is this the case?

Has anyone had their results email this week?I expected to receive it at the beginning of the week to see if I earned any free electricity for Sunday but I didn’t get it yet. do you still get the email even if you didn’t earn enough?

About 18 months ago I booked a one off service through OVO Energy. I don’t have an account with them. The service was completed and paid for, however I never received the certificate which was meant to be sent once payment was received.  I’ve spent the best part of 90 minutes speaking to OVO on the phone, being redirected to multiple people, none of whom seem to know how to help.  The latest I heard is that this service was run by Kantan and that it’s no longer run anymore. I was given a number to call them on, but this number was out of Service.  Does anyone know how I can get hold of this certificate?

Has anyone else been having problems trying to get CA working over the past 2 weeks?I’ve had spells of 2 or 3 days without any CA schedule and very intermittent at other times, with often short intervals at unusual times.The CP is a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro. Tried all the usual tricks of reboots, re-register CP, amending schedule, checking its over greenest periods etc.Up until this period CA has been reasonably stable and predictable.“Urgent Charge” works fine, but obviously attracts the higher price. I’ve had to resort to this most days. So the costs are now starting to mount up.I haven’t been able to get any response from the CA team via their email process, so will try calling next.Hypervolt have investigated and state this is an OVO problem and they are aware of issues OVO have been having with CA.

Flexi power move keeps appearing in my email box. I click on to opt in, but there's no confirmation on my account I've opted in. All it say is on the opt in bit is your in it? 

dose any one know when the clocks change to BST (British Summer Time) dose the off peak charging time also change with the time change or continue at GMT time?...some background to the question, my smart meter (installed by Ovo) only uses GMT time all year…… my home automation (Habitat System). runs in GMT so all appliances running on time switches via Home automation are on GMT using Habitat home automation I have managed to shift between 88% and 98% to off peak  (using the Loop app data taken from my Ovo meter) of my electric usage to over night!

I am a landlord and need to set up a pay as you go account with my details as tenant has vacated. How do I go about doing it? I’m not able to access an activated account. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you 

Ovo increased their electricity standing charge massively in April. I have asked them to itemise what the Standing Charge covers and then justify the increase - they are refusing to do this.The Standing Charge should relate to the actual cost that Ovo has delivering electricity to your home. Those costs did not substantially increase in April.Wholesale gas price rises meant that the unit cost of electricity went up but that should not have affected the Standing Charge.Ovo have just taken the maximum that Ofgem allow the Standing Charge to be decided to charge it.You can try to avoid unit costs by cutting back on usage, but you cannot avoid the Standing Charge.Customers need to band together and get them to justify the increase.

It would appear that the cost of energy used for the year on the usage page is just the cost of the units used not including the standing charges etc.  This seems confusing if not disingenuous as standing charges make up nearly 30% of the overall billed amount.

I keep getting texts saying I owe money - I have never had an account with ovo. Are they genuine? 

Does Power Flex ask different people to do different events ?  There is lots of chat on Power Move about a Power Flex event at 12 - 2 today 10 November.  All the participants refer to a Power Down event but I got a message saying that it was a Power Up event.  Given the day and time I did think it a bit odd but here is the message - Get ready to Power Up   10 November, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

I have recently signed up for charge anytime for us at home with my Wallbox charger and Mercedes EQC.I have followed the instructions, linked my car etc and set the “ready by” time on a few occasions yet the car has never charged overnight and I'm forced to manually check and start charging early morning.  I cant think what I'm doing wrong - is there anything that I need to do in the Wallbox app? At present when I plug the charger in, the car starts charging immediately which I then manually stop in the wallbox app in the hope it will charge at some point overnight using the the charge anytime app/tariff. Am I supposed to stop the charge like this?  Cant think what im doing wrong - would appreciate any assistance.
