I have linked my Q4 E-tron to the Charge Anytime app (bypassing the Pod Point app scheduling) but the CA App thinks my car is AWAY when its on the drive.  It can detect the car being charged but I cant find a way of adding my address to the App, although its linked to my OVO Energy account (I assume?).  How can I resolve please?  

When taking out a new tariff with boiler cover is there an age limit for the boiler?

Is anyone else having issues with anytime credit noted in the app not being credited in full to their bill. This happened to me in May, Jun and now agin July. Ohme integration was claimed to be the problem for May and Jun but told it was fixed but same again for Jul with circa £25 missing in credit. It took 6 or so calls and 3 complaints raised with a different agent each time before the May issue was resolved. 

Hi, i wanted to pay bill by cash on pay point but they were asking me for a barcode to scan which I haven’t got on my bill. How can i do that?

I received an email from Ovo today saying “You’ve also earned £0.00 for extending your 'ready by' time” however I have participated in each one extending the ready by time by 10 minutes more than requested.  Frequently I notice that my car is already charged before the extended ready by time kicks in but I should still receive the £1 reward for participating.

I've joined the power move for the second time, however I cannot reduce my usage by the amount they expect, I live on my own, I do not want to eat my evening meal before 4pm or start cooking after 7pm both are bad for the digestive system, I do not want to eat preheated meals 5 nights a week. I barely use any electricity as it is how the hell can I cut it down further. I use about £1.50 worth every 24 hours which covers cooking, kettle, TV, lights, on all the times, washing, and my laptop (work from home).Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I do win on the challenges they set every so often for the 90mins wins I've won on 3 of those.TIA

Hi I enter my readings monthly both gas and electricity manually. For some reason yesterday I had a smart reading applied to my monthly readings which is over 14000, whereas the actual reading on the meter is approx 11560. This has clearly provided incorrect billing details as I’m sure you can imagine and from a monthly use off approx 100 this month it’s shot up by 3000. A false reading. A clear error.  from what I am aware I don’t even have a smart meter and have manually inputted readings for over 3 years now.  I have checked online and it states my meter isn’t working on smart mode which again begs the question where this incorrect reading has came from  having called OVO , no one could explain and the person said ‘the meter must have had some sort of fit’ how that’s a suitable response is beyond me. they adjusted the reading to the correct one but again a 14000 odd reading is now evident again today from ‘another smart reading’ so basically it was a waste of time.  it’s soul destro

Ovo, Hypervolt Home 3 Pro and Taycan not charging I have a 2022 Taycan, Ovo Charge Anytime and Hypervolt Home Pro 3.Until recently, I used the Ovo App to control the schedule and set charging limit, such as 75% max.  This mainly worked fine until the car / Porsche / Ovo had a connectivity issue and it wouldn’t charge (which happened 3 times).I have an MG4 arriving this weekend and need the Charge Anytime tariff to work with both cars.  However, Ovo hasn’t built an MG integration.Several days ago Ovo advised that I delete the Ovo app, install it again and then go through the Hypervolt integration route (which didn’t exist earlier this year when I first configured the app).  Which I have done.  In theory, this should be a more stable process because the Hypervolt and Ovo communicate using my home wifi so don’t rely on the Taycan’s 4G (which isn’t great).On my first charge attempt last night, it didn’t charge.However, this morning I could force an “urgent” charge using the Ovo app and tha

Hey there! I just received my new smart meter and the IDH (black model "Chameleon") and I successfully joined my home WIFI. The WIFI Signal is displaying three bands, so all good for the internet connection. When it comes now to the "Join network" which is I imagine the connection to the smart meter reading, It loop over and over again without any chance to get my real-time consumption, any clue?  

I moved into a new property (owned) in December. It had pre-payment meters for gas and electricity with a key and card for top up. I had smart meters installed on May 3 and on May 15 received an email from SSE/OVO advising my final bill had arrived and could I log in and pay it. I have not received a bill and have never used emergency credit on either meter. After two hours of phone calls speaking to six different people, a two day chat in Whatsapp and thirty minutes on hold today  I am no further! They advise I owe £60.27p however no one on any call or message system could confirm how or why I allegedly owe this amount, or whether it is for gas, electricity or a combination of the two. I have not received a bill and no one has been able to send me another copy of it. I was hoping to transfer to being a direct debit customer but I’m not sure about this as you don’t seem to be able to get finance correct when I pay in advance!  Any other pre-payment customers  receive random emails abou

Just had smart meter installed in April, not charged for any Electricity since April.

Once the novelty of watching the remote display has worn off (And it doesnt like to be to far from the meter!) You start to wonder WHO did this benefit?The ONE benefit I thought i would get was accurate Direct debit amount settings! NO, you still get the OTT increases and over payments with an automated FORECAST that never reflects actual bills and seasons.Plus… I couldnt have the Gas Smart meter which is WHY i wanted one in the first place since the Gas meter is in such an awkward place to read….. all down to DISTANCE that even my bluetooth keyboard and headphones could easily cover?! I also had to waste my time and the Engineers a SECOND time as I was told OVO used the new RELAY transmitter to bridge the gap so i COULD have the Gas smart meter when HE told me no such relay is used by OVO?So, the only benefit was for the Utility companies to do away with actual meter readers!?

Grateful for any advise/suggestions.I’ve been trying to get the 2 electricity (under THTC tariff) meters changed since I could first book an appointment in October 2024.  An Engineer did appear at this first attempt in October 2024.  He tried to install a smart meter (with economy 10 tarriff) but the signal was an issue.  Subsequently, I have had to keep phoning OVO to find out what was happening - OVO have never contacted me even though I have been told a numerous times they would be in touch.  I have twice more booked appointments in January and today which have been cancelled.  The first one I was told it was a wider area network (WAN) problem and OVO would be in touch in 8 weeks - this didn’t happen.  I phoned intermittently and was told the problem hadn’t been resolved until I phoned at the end of April.  Today the appointment got cancelled again for a system reason - I am still not clear if the WAN problem has been resolved.  I tried to re-book an appointment today but all the ap

Could the free electricity earned in Power Move Flex events be banked for use on a selection subsequent Sunday taken, please? It's very annoying to take the trouble to move usage to gain free hours and then to find that one is away and not able to benefit from the hours gained.

I have only had 2 hours notice for each of the power up events this week which is making it almost impossible to enable me to join. I noticed that other people seem to get more notice of the slots - does that mean I will only get 2 hours notice throughout the trial?

Im attempting to use Ovo Beyond but its telling me i need a smart meter which i have and was fitted n 2021. The older Ovo App works but not the beyond can someone suggest to me the cause?Thanks.

I have an EV Project charger linked to my SEAT app and OVO Anytime. The SEAT app has been upgraded recently and now it constantly sends notifications to my phone and reports that charging has stopped. Charging is now erratic and unreliable. I had an email some time ago advising that management of the EV Project app was being taken over by another company- has this happened yet?  Many thanks,Chris

1 have 1 consumer unit supplying electricity to lights and sockets in the house .This is fed by a cable from ph2 to port 2 on my newly installed smart meter and out from port3 to this consumer unit. I have another consumer unit to supply the underfloor and storage heaters in the house.This is fed by a cable from ph3 to port port 5 on the smart meter and out to the consumer unit via port 6 to an external contactor and from there to the heating consumer unit.the smart meter is an EDMI ES 30 B AND THE TARRIF IS ECONOMY 10.At the switching times for the off peak rate the cable from the contactor to the heating board becomes live and supplies power to my heaters.I asked for, and was remotely configured for a boost menu to supply the heating contactor so I could use the heating outside the off peak hours even at the peak hour supply rate.I operate the boost rate as per the instructions from OVO. Hello,  Hoping someone can help me. Asked web chat for support but no response.  My query is whether I can buy a top up card for my daughter’s pay as you go meter for her electricity to give to her to use ? She lives in another town and i hoped to see if it were possible for me to buy a card to give to her when i see her.  From what I gather, it might be the case that she would need to use her card and that would mean that I would need to be with her when she tops up to pay. I have just got an electric car, and a new charger, and I’m having a few issues setting up Charge Anytime to work properly. I’ve followed all the guides and troubleshooting but haven’t managed to resolve the issue so am hoping someone here can help.Car: VW ID7 - this is compatible with charge anytimeCharger: LeMac Smart Charger controlled by Monta App - this is not compatible.Using the Ovo Charge Anytime App I cannot get the car to charge either on a scheduled or an instant charge, however when I use the Monta App, I can successfully use both scheduled and instant charging.If the Charge Anytime app is trying to charge the car, it continuously pushes the start time back and never starts charging, but if I start a charge through Monta during this time I do get the savings logged in the Ovo App.It seems like there is a conflict between the two apps, so my question is, should I just uninstall the Monta app and do everything through Ovo?  There appears to be additional functionality in the

Dear Forum, I have had an unresolved issue with my energy account for over 7 years. Please can the forum offer any advice to get this resolved.  I was with Spark Energy when I initially purchased the property, the issue started with them. Because the property was split, they were taking readings from the wrong property.  Spark Energy then went bust leaving my issue unresolved. The account was taken on by SSE Energy, again I’ve proactively tried to resolve with them, with no luck. Ovo has taken over the account, still not resolved the issue despite a very large paper trail saying it will be resolved, I will not be hounded by debt collectors etc. Today a debt collection agency, I believe to be linked to Ovo tried to take £1000 from my account. Should I contact the energy ombudsman, a lawyer? When I'm logged on to myAccount, I can't seem to find any links to show me the currently available tariffs and plans (like the information I received when I had to renew). Am I missing something? The lack of a search facility from myAccount doesn't help either (or is that something else I've missed)?

Hi, I have switched to a different supplier recently but foolishly topped up on your old key. I'm trying to find out how I go about getting a refund on the credit now on that key. I do have the receipt for that transaction and any advice on the correct way of  going about this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there I joined OVO a month ago by phone call. Since then, I haven't received any welcome email or confirmation. I have attempted to contact helpdesk through phone call many times and succeeded couple of times and got my OVO ID. However using OVO ID I am not able to register my OVO account on either online or mobile app. I am looking to get account created and give Gas/Electric meter reading for this month I am starting to be a bit concerned about Please, could you help me? Many thanksSelvendran Chandran
