Hi.  We had a 7 hour power cut today and when our electric came back on our prepayment key meter display was blank.   i have read it probably means we will have to have a new meter but I was wondering what happens to the credit we had on there?  I dont know the exact amount and obviously cant tell from the meter now because the display is blank.  If we do have a new meter will OVO know how much credit to put on the new meter?  Apart from the receipt from buying the electric I dont have any way of proving how much we had before the power cut.   also Im on economy 7.  Will my storage heaters come on as usual?   hope someone can help.thank you sammy

 Boiler new Aug 2022. Ideal Logic+ Combi CThermostat / programmer fitted May 2023. Ideal Halo RF, not wifi connected.August 2025 weather compensation fitted. Ideal OS2. Straight forward to install the sensor and two core cable connected and run into the house for connection to the boiler. Cable run approximately 5m. Terminal on the sensor are not marked and the boiler weather compensation terminals likewise not marked. All connections made as per the Ideal instructions sheet.Boiler switched on and nothing untoward. The instructions state that the house temperature is now controlled using the boiler flow temperature dial. Turn it clockwise to raise the house temp and anticlockwise to lower the house temp. The screen should indicate a range of 5℃ minimum and 30℃ maximum.When I move the dial it performs as it always did and shows a temperature of the water  flow. Minimum 30℃ and maximum set by myself of 64℃. Previously the minimum flow temperature was 40°C.Checked my connections and all O

Hi,Unlike many of the other posters, I’ve had the opposite problem of paying too much for a charge.The car reckons it received around 17kwh of energy last night (which seems about right, as it was at 70%), but both the Hypervolt app and the OVO Charge app reckon they only supplied 3kwh. I’m guessing physics hasn’t changed and more likely a computer glitch, but thought I’d raise it with the forum.  Colin 

Beyond gas credits didnt show on my last bill, I’ve opted in and chosen the slots in the app, and the app says I’ve claimed 12 hours so far (that includes 4 pending.).On my bill it says ‘opt in’ and shows £0 credit. Can anyone from Ovo help with this?

I’m getting quite confused with solar & battery used with anytime.Is this even possible on ovo? I seem to think I might be best changing to octopus, we are looking at getting solar and a Powerwall 3 installed, we are currently using charge anytime with an indra pro and the more I look the more i’m confused if we can A: actually charge the car when excess solar, assuming we generate enough, B: use any kind of time of use tariff with anytime to charge the battery at a cheap rate C: have this battery boost addon with a Powerwall? I can’t even see battery boost any ware on my ovo page, D: Export rate prices, I think ovo will pay 12p excess for a install not done by them?

Hi, is anyone else having problems with the contact centre? Each time I call, it can take from 30 minutes to an hour with an issue not being resolved and most of the time stuck back on hold. I have called 8 times in the past 3 weeks, assured of calls back which hardly ever happens. The whole issue is a had £700 credit on my gas and £200 debit in my electricity, to me an easy fix, transfer £200 over and refund my my balance. This call took over an hour to do, to be told my gas smart meter hasn't worked for over 2 years, so cannot refund until they get a meter reading. I've explained on every call, the digital display does not work, so I cannot get a reading, so need an engineer to come out and fix the meter so I can get a refund. Again an easy fix, but somehow this seems an impossible task to get an engineer out, even after 3 weeks. Can anyone please help?

My new SMETS 2 meters were installed in mid September.  Since then, there has been no change in my account page.  The last entry there was that my electricity and gas were to be supplied from 5 May.  My smart gas meter does not appear to be sending any data, I’m only getting a feed from the electricity meter.I would like an idea of my usage, given the state of the fuel industry at the moment, I would at least like to have an idea if I will be in for some nasty surprises downstream. 

Why does my meter have to have zero credit before they will send and engineer, when the web page states to ring before your supply disconnects?

Hi Had to change to smart meter due to telesignal switch off. Used to have total heating total control. Economy 7 doesnt heat my storage heaters enough. Requested change to single rate and ecaul sent to energised port 5 all the time. Ovo have refused this to send ecaul after changing to single rate. Its cold and don't know what to do next any help would be really appreciated at this time. 

I’ve been trying to top up my Gas today however I keep getting the message to enter a valid account number despite it being correct. I’ve also tried topping up my Electricity to see if it was an issue specific to Gas but it’s also saying my number is invalid there as well.The numbers I’m entering are correct and I’ve even copied and pasted the account numbers from my previous email receipts just in case I had been making an error when entering the numbers and it’s still saying they’re incorrect.What is going on? I’m almost out of Gas.

How much do OVO change to have meter tails upgraded from 16mm2 to 25mm2?

topped up for gas this morning, still not been added to meter, 3 times this has done this £30 down for no gas

Switched away from OVO back in June. In July the final bill was provided at £0.14 in credit on the 18th of July.On the 31st of October I recieved an email saying that a bill was outstanding and that it needed to be paid otherwise my credit score could be affected. The bill is £36.52 from the 18th of July, in direct disagreement with their first bill.Its been 3.5 months and now we owe them. I cant see why a charge is on the account, as we switched provider so arent on OVO to get a charge in the first place.On the 31st of October I emailed hello@ovoenergy.com and got the automated:Thank you for getting in touch.You should get a reply within 48 hours. At busy times, it can take a little longer to reply. Please know that we’re on the case and there’s no need to get in touch again. After getting no response, I sent the email to complaints@ovoenergy.com on the 6th of November. Its now the 11th of November, and I havent had a reply, but another email. Your OVO account: you have an outstanding

Had anyone heard about when OVO is going to issue the £150 Warm Home Discount for customers on certain benefits such as Universal Credit ? A friend of mine said she received a letter/message from her supplier stating that she is to receive it on her next bill. With winter right around the corner, it would come in handy !!!  Thanks y'all !!!  Mike

Received an email today about choosing slot for week of 4th December.   Telling me an error has occurred and its not booking time chosen.  Also link on email doesn't take you to where to book a slot.  Instead it says "page not found."  Is there problems with this page?

I have just taken delivery of an R5. I have been using the OVO Charge App to smart charge my Skoda Elroq with great success. I have added my new R5 to the OVO Charge App using my MyRenault credentials without error. So far everything looks good. I plugged in the R5 to my “dumb” charger and the charge started straight away like it does with the Elroq, however the OVO Charge App never sees the R5 as being plugged in and therefore (I’m guessing) never tries to control the charge. Anyone got any clues as to what is wrong?

The recorded usage on my in home display is considerably higher than that displayed on the Ovo App. I understand that the IHD includes VAT and standing charges, but the App does not. I can’t understand why the App doesn’t display the full cost, as that is what we want to keep tabs on. Is there any way to tweak the App to include VAT and standing charges?

So I’m trying to submit a meter reading as I do each month.Today, I have logged in to put in my reading and the page looks like this. Instead of one window to put my reading in, there are seven. I enter one, and each separately, and then all of them….but cant get past the ‘Oops, your reading doesn't look right’ error.The same applies to the app.Any one faced a similar issue? Is there a way to resolve this (except phone them as that takes far too long.Done a ‘Live Chat’ whilst working. That proved fruitless.Don’t have a smart meter as they are unable to fit one (apparently??) 

Hi 👋🏻  I currently have electricity with OVO and my IHD is paired and working fine , I’ve just switched my gas supplier from eon also to OVO when the switch is completed on the 29th will my OVO IHD automatically display both gas and electricity instead of just electricity as it does at the moment ?  thanks in advance 

Hi guys,First timer here so thank you for letting me join.I have a condensate boiler with an outside pipe for the waste water. For the last two winters either my outside pipe or the condensate trap under the boiler has frozen. I have double lagged the outside pipe and I have lagged the trap as well. I am still worried that if we get a weeks worth of really cold weather ( like the last two winters ) something will freeze and the heating wont work.We are away from home for 3 weeks in January ( if I was home I wouldn’t be so worried ) and want to know if I could do the following in the basement. There are air bricks and small holes around the room.Could I get a small heater and use it with a thermostat plug so that if the temp drops below 3c or 4c the heater would kick in ?? If this is an idea then what size heater would I need. The room is about 10’ x 8’ and about 7’ high. The heater could sit close to the condensate trap and direct any heat onto it.If this isnt a good idea does anyone h

Hi All, I recently purchased a CUPRA Formentor Hybrid. I enrolled in the Charge Anytime. The app worked brilliantly for a week or so and today I noticed something was wrong. I connected my car to change it and the app couldn’t not detect it, simply said car is unplugged and odd thing was it connected with the car last at 5:30 am… it was after 15:00 when I noticed that. I thought I’d remove the car from charge anytime app followed by app removal and re adding it all. All I get now is a screen where my schedule should be that says : Please wait few minutes whilst we finish connecting to your CUPRA. I raised it with them too but they simply responded it’s out of their scope and they can’t see any issues. Has anybody experienced anything like this before? How was it fixed? Thanks

Hello,I’ve been using Smart Charging for some five months now without any issues, but I’ve just noticed that under ‘activity’ in the app, the last smart charge savings data is last Friday 14th - 3 days ago.When charging as per the smart charge app schedule, it shows ‘smart charging’ so I’m assuming the actual smart charging is working and I’m getting the Pay as you Go rate and not being charged at the full domestic rate. (I haven’t opted for one of the new charging plans).There are no conflicting schedules setting the car or it’s app and no other changes have been made within the smart charge app nor the car ‘s app.why is the activity data not up to date - and how do I restore it ? how can I tell within the smart charge app or even the OVO account app if I’m being charged the correct rate for my EV charging.Any advice much appreciated.

I’ve been having ongoing issues since our migration from SSE on 20th February. Still getting nowhere and have made 3 phone calls to the customer service team. Made a formal complaint and all they could say was they can’t access my account as it’s still in the migration period. It will take another 10 days for my complaint to be resolved even though my previous complaint (10 days ago) hasn’t been resolved yet.  can you tell me what the complaints procedure is? The guy I spoke to at resolutions was super creepy and told me to go and look after my kids 🙄
