It’s 6:45am, and my EV is not charged and has not started charging. I plugged it in yesterday at about 5:30pm.

The Charge Anytime app said it was planning my charge to start after 8pm. Then this message changed to ‘planning your next charge’ (ready by 07:00 tomorrow) up until midnight then changed to ‘ready by 07:00 today’

It worked fine the two other times I’ve used overnight charging. The Volvo car app shows the cable has connected but is not charging.

The Hypervolt app shows no charging taking place, and that it’s under the control of ‘OVO mode’.

Not sure what to do next as all the apps seem to be working and charger is locked into car - help!

Any advice appreciated

At about 7:30am I requested an ‘Urgent charge’ which changed the message to ‘trying to start charge’, and then a few minutes later, car is now charging. So all the connectivity is there between EV and apps.

Seems the scheduling didn’t work from Charge Anytime app.

Now is it safe for me to stop the charging at highest tariff? The app says ‘To stop Urgent Charge, unplug your car and wait for the app to show that it’s unplugged’ - the charger is locked to the vehicle - I can’t just yank it out can I?

All seems a bit hit and miss!

Hi @RobBreeds ,

To unlock the charger, unlock your EV using the keyfob, enter the vehicle and use the method described in the user manual - please DO NOT just try to yank the cable out as you’ll cause serious injury or damage if you try! Once you stop the charge correctly, the cable will be unlocked and you can unplug it safely.

Please ask the Charge Anytime team to look into this issue - 0330 175 9678 Option 2.

Thanks. I don’t think the messaging in the app is particularly clear or reassuring for new users.

I’ll be on to the Charge Anytime support about the scheduling.
