Just read on another convo on here that OVO don't have a date for when the hypervolt charger will be ready for charge anytime.Why is it even on there as an offering at the moment? People are probably getting that charger based on OVO saying this will be working by early 2024, it's still not working and there is not date for when it will be.And having a compatible car doesn't save you either of it's a newer one, OVO seems to be quite slow with getting this sorted out. All quite poor from OVO 8 thought.

Hi allWe have a podpoint but would like to install a charger that works with the anytime tariff. We also need wifi as the mobile signal is bad here.  We don't really need to charge two cars at once, but I'm wondering if it's best to take the podpoint out and install the Indra, or whether anyone has installed a second charger alongside an existing one. I'm assuming that load would need to be considered Thanks 

Does anyone know if the Hypervolt Home Pro 3 will work directly with Charge Anytime, anytime soon?  It says on this page ‘early 2024’ https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/smart-charger#choose, but we are into April now...The phone signal is very poor at my house,  so although my car is compatible with Charge Anytime, it often does not work as my car can’t connect to 3G or 4G.  The solution (I think) is a Indra or Hypervolt charger that can connect via wifi or ethernet.I am on my second quote for an Indra charger, but each one has thrown up a a different obstacle.  Coincidentally I have an electrician working at my house already on an extension.  He can buy the Hypervolt charger and install it himself.  But the Home Pro 3 doesn’t look to work directly with Charge Anytime, which is the whole point!

Hi guys,Im pretty new to the EV world, a week to be precise! I used a charger outside my house via OVO bonnet that required a £30 holding deposit, i have used the charger on the 24th, 25th and 29th of may and have yet to see any of my deposits returned. Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction please.

Has anyone else had trouble with charge anytime limiting charging to the car. A couple of times recently I've set my car to charge overnight, with plenty of time to get to 100%, but when I check at 7am it's not fully charged. When I look in my charger log it's only been charging at 3.5kwh and not the full 7kwh, hence it's not fully charged. Is there a fix for this? I have an Audi Q4. 

My head is spinning – Help please!My current setup is a ‘dumb’ charger feeding a Renault Zoe (a ‘compatible’ car) controlled through the Charge Anytime app.I’ve ordered a ‘compatible’ Ohme ePod charger because I plan to replace the Renault with a BYD Dolphin (‘non-compatible’).Currently on my phone are the Charge Anytime and Renault apps. At the moment everything works beautifully.When the ePod charger, which of course comes with an app, is installed I would like to continue to benefit from the Charge Anytime discount when charging the Zoe and then, when later the Zoe is replaced by the BYD, charge that.To charge the Zoe from the ePod should I uninstall and reinstall the Charge Anytime app, install the ePod app, and set it all up again (and later go through some ‘change car’ process) or can I simply reconfigure the Charge Anytime app to link to the ePod instead of the car?What should I link to what and in what sequence?Help!

ISSUE 1I charge a BMW iX at home (managed from my BMW App)I charge using Eazee-One (using Eazee-One App to lock able at night and authorise the charge so that no unauthorised person can charge while I am away)I HAVE to use OVO Charge anytime App to set the scheduleDo I really need to use 3 Apps just to charge my car???  What happened to “easy charging with OVO”, especially when one should be able to charge “Anytime”??ISSUE 2REGULARLY, I set all 3 APPs up at night to charge to 100% when I have a long journey next morning…. and REGULARLY, I wake up to find that despite having set:Charging limits on My BMW App (and to check all is ready) Enabled Eazee-One charger (and check all is ready)  Set accurate settings (Times and Max charging limits) on OVO charge Anytime APP, (even getting the message that “charing will start at 22:00”

Really disappointed with OVO as I can't get to work because the ev charge schedule was adjusted by Ovo to start at 7 AM.I ALWAYS check in the Ohme app that charge will come on through night allowing me to have enough charge to get to work. BUT, some time after 23.30, the schedule was adjusted to start at 7 am.Ovo need to guarantee a level of service otherwise I'll need to find another tariffI'm with Charge Anytime and have set Ohme up to add 70% every week day by 7.00 am.Suspect I'm not the only one with this issue. 

I have been using my Indra smart charger installed by ChargedEV for over a year and  Charge Anytime for some months with no problems. However, the charger went solid red and offline. Attempts to reset it have failed - soid purple meaning stuck at bootup. The boost button doesn't do anything, so having to use a granny charger for our two EVs. Awaiting a call back but they say could be 2 to 3 weeks for service. Meanwhile, I will be charged full price for electricity. I have solar so I can help manage that, but overall this is not very satisfactory. I see something here about an app from OVO for non smart chargers and Anytime, so it's it possible to use that while the charger gets fixed? 

Currently having issues with Charge Anytime not updating Charge % and range.  It is picking up if car is away from home or if it is not plugged in.  Seems like some of the Renault metadata is being read and some not.  Anyone else seeing this?   First noticed on Wednesday Iast week and reported it by email on Thursday.  Was briefly working on Thursday but now stuck at 100% and 16 miles since Friday.  Anyone else seen anything similar?  

I’ve downloaded the new Ovo Charge app (that allows you to see charge points on any of the affiliated networks and potentially pay for cheaper PAYG rates). but when I log in with my Ovo details it doesn’t recognise that I have charge anytime connected to my account.Has anyone else encountered this or have anyidea how to overcome? The app has no support function at least not until i can log in!

I have been charging my BMW I4 from home with no changes over the last 6 months. For some.reason the last 3 attempts at home charge for 2 mins and then stops. I charged it a petrol station fine a few days ago and it was fine so I know it's not an issue with the car HELP Hak

 This shows the Month of April up to now. Wallbox info on the left and OVO Anytime info on the right. If you add them both up, you end up with almost exactly the same numbers total. So why are they so incredibly different day to day and how do they end up nearly the same at the end ???? Why is this so confusing? It looks like the Kona is often charging outside the Anytime schedule and by this I mean, the car is charging, but if I go to the Anytime App on my phone, it’s showing the schedule as due to start in several hours time. I am just about to buy a Hyubdai Kona I want to make sure it is compatible with charge anytime and also that the charger is also compatible I have been told that the Kona needs to be 2019 or later- but not told why.also the charger should be an indra also not told why. Can anyone help ensure I get the right car and right charger.  

So you overtook bonnet to get a app for public chargers, which i was excited about until I read that to get a discount I have to pay £8 for 15%… and I am a ovo customer were is the loyalty in that.. Its starting to make me rethink my supplyer, espcially as octopus gives its customers on ev tarrifs charging discounts at public charger via the octoverse app…. mmmmmm

I’m a bit undecided which home charger to buy.  I have a Tesla and it is currently working well with a 3 pin and connection to the ovo anytime app.  Bit concerned the new charger might interfere with this.  Also if I got another vehicle which is compatible could I add this as well (id3 for example) if I don’t have a compatible charger. thanks for any help   

So I have a BMW 330e and a hypervolt 3 (Installed by OVO). My issue is, with my granny charger my car would charge fine and I would receive the credit from charge anytime as my car would only charge when the grid is at its greenest. Now I have an actual EV charger, the charge anytime app doesn’t work like It did, It sometimes gives me credit, it sometimes gives me part credit from a charge and other times I pay full whack for the entire charge… I don’t have a clue what is happening and I have checked every setting I can possible think of and see but nothing I do seems to fix this.  I'’m fully aware that the hypervolt charger cannot connect to charge anytime currently unlike say Ohme, however I have a compatible EV/Car which worked perfectly fine before. 

Hi All,I have a Jaguar iPace with the Ohme ePod charger which I have been told will still work once Jaguar lockdown their API preventing Anytime charging in the normal way.I tried last night and again tonight and the only way I can get the car to charge is via the “Charge to full ASAP” I have tried to set a schedule but the car just says “initialising” the jaguar app has no schedule setI am missing something - BTW I deleted my Anytime account and re-open it under the Ohme and not the Jaguar.Thanks 

Starting a new conversation because I can’t find any info on the forum about this.I have recently had an Ohme Home Pro EV charge point installed and signed up for the Charge Anytime add-on. I’ve been monitoring the Charge Anytime credits that have been applied to my account and they don’t seem to match the kWh consumption that is being reported in the Ohme app. I think everything is set up correctly and some Ovo credits have been applied, but the usage doesn’t look very much like what the Ohme app says I’ve used - my Ovo account is either missing some smart charging sessions or the smart charging kWh for each session are being underreported. I appreciate that there may be some delay between the chargepoint reporting the session and Ovo applying the charge credits, but Its been 4 days since I last plugged in and things have not caught up.So the question for anyone with a similar setup is - how accurately do the Charge Anytime consumption figures match those that are rep

Just joined Charge Anytime in  December and wondered when I should see a payment into my bank account.  So far its been great I have a PHEV and my petrol consumption has decreased dramatically.  Edit - just found a thread explaining credit will be applied after first full monthhttps://forum.ovoenergy.com/topic/show?tid=16779&fid=138Edit - Just found the credit has been applied to my OVO account so above thread isn’t right!

Only just started using charge anytime and I am confused! Tried charging at 50% to be ready next day @ 7.00 but only got to 70%, so am I doing something wrong? I have the Ohme pro! Tia

Hello, so can some explain why ovo anytime is limited to so few home charger units.  My chargers company has tried to reach out but the list is still 2or3 acceptable chargers.  Surly the cars app and the 1/2 hourly meter reads would suffice anyway. Do I have to move to octopus 🐙

We are in the process of purchasing an EV and having a charger installed at home. Our consumer unit and electric meter are under the stairs adjacent to the driveway where we would like the charging point installed. We have a 1930s house, are we likely to need additional work done by an electrician, or would OVO be able to install this?
