Electric vehicles

I have noted from others that instructions are non existent especially for 80 years olds.I yesterday returned from a holiday to find my Kaluza app had disappeared from my iPad.It when I eventually found it refused to accept my password.I then tried to join the charge anytime and eventually today using the old password as a reset password joined up, I think. What I need to know is, when I have finished with the car each day, do I just plug it in to the charger (Indra) and it does it with me doing no more? I have filled in the times in the Kaluza page and it looks just like the Indra page.Is there anything else I have to do?  

I have made the switch to OVO and according to the website it says ovo has been supplying me since the 5th April, meter reading all provided so I have done everything my end. As we have EV cars I need to add charge anytime asap as they need charging but because the account hasn’t been setup I’m struggling.how long does it take before I can add charge anytime, this while process does not seem efficient.

We have recently bought a VW-ID3 and are using a ‘Granny’ charger during Economy 7 night period. Would Charge Anytime work with this type of charger? Also - does anyone know when OVO will include VW’s in its list of eligible vehicles? 

Live in a block of flats with communal supply of electricity to garages. I was told by the property manager that it is impossible to separate the usage of electricity to individual garages. Am planning on getting an EV and wanted to have an EV charger installed where I park, but it seems installation is not possible due to communal use of electricity. Is there a workaround to have a separate meter for my bit of the garage?Thanking you in advance. 

Good evening just been reading this forum as I thought I was going mad with my Porsche App , Kaluza web app and charge anytime app ….  I’ve had Indra and charged EV out multiple times to my home and there are some serious issues which should be addressed Firstly the charge anytime app is the dominant app if you have an Indra smart pro charger and are using the OVO anytime tariff.  the charge anytime app adds erroneous profiles and timers to the Porsche app ,a profile called ENODE and a timer which is usually a day to two ahead . The charged EV and Indra people I’ve had out watched this happen in real time.  The only solution for us was to ONLY use the charge anytime app to schedule the car charging setting it at 50% min and 85% - 100% max (annoying that the app only allows one schedule and not a 7 day version this really really would be helpful)  When plugging the car in you may still get a red charger error but as l

I have the Charge Anytime app all set up and working with my Tesla.Everything is fine, if I just leave it to do it’s thing, but I have a problem when using the ‘Urgent Charge’ function. Basically it will just stop charging randomly.I hit the Urgent Charge button in the app and after waiting a bit the car sometimes starts charging without doing anything, and sometimes I have to go to the car app and hit the ‘Start Charge’ button. Either way it will stop charging sometimes after a few minutes, and I’ll have to do it all again. This means that any time I need to charge I basically have to keep checking the car app, which is useless.Anyone else have this problem, or a solution?I did wonder if it was anything to do with my partner also having the app. When I set it up on their phone I used their Tesla account credentials (for access to the car), so I wondered if the two might be competing in some way? Both apps will show the urgent charge status when it’s swit

I am soooo confused.  i have been reading up on Ovo’s EV plans on and off all day…..Nothing is very clear.I have not yet bought a charger, even though i was not wanting one of Ovos. But is ittrue i have to have one of theres to upgrade to drive?   I do not have a smart meter and i do not have gas.(oil only).if i buy one of ovo’s chargers - what happens if i eventually move from ovo?   is my charger then useless with another energy company? 

I am expecting my EV in November , I’m an SSE ENERGY customer, SSE have pointed me towards ZOOM EV for my EV tariff , they say I have to join OVO .. I’m not at home during the day so all my charging will be done overnight, the info I see is the tariff is set 24hrs a day at 16.7p KWH , I was hoping for an off peak discounted rate …. Can someone Please help, advise and ping me in the right direction if what to do that is the cheapest option thanks

Hi, I get delivery of an EV in March and got my EV charger installed (Easee One) last week. I’m like most members are on a Standard variable rate. I see that the OVO EV package requires a specific charger which I didn’t realise. The question is  can can I switch to an EV tariff using my Easee One and would it be cost efficient or should I stick to the standard variable? I do around 700-1000 miles a month, mostly local so will charge every so often but want to charge at the cheapest possible rate and don’t mind charging off-peak.

Given the upcoming weather, and the fact all my ev charge plugs  and all public chargepoints all say "donnot use in thunderstorms" I was wondering:A) WhyB) What is the real riskC) Will anything prevent it actually chargingD) If you have a virtually flat battery in a storm, what should you do if you need to keep driving!E) Is it (more?)dangerous with a v2g?

Had an EV installer around today. Took a look around and decided it was too difficult to wire back to the existing consumer unit and the easiest option was to fit an additional CU in the meter box (the charger unit will be adjacent to it). He suggested that my supplier might be able to arrange it as the job would entail isolating the meter while the work was done. Is this something Ovo do or could arrange and if so how do I go about it? Chris

Hi all,  We are current EV Everywhere customers with a smart charger fitted in July 19. We are now moving house and need to figure out what do with our smart charger. Ideally we’d have a charger fitted in the new house but I don’t know if we transfer kit from old house to be house? If we don’t transfer the charger would there be an additional cost as we have already used the government grant with the first charger?  ThanksRebecca

Hi all,I had an OVO SmartMeter installed in 2017.We've just bought an electric car (a PHEV - a second hand Mitsubishi Outlander).To fit a charging point in our driveway I've engaged ChargedEV, who have forwarded the enquiry to UK Power networks to install a 100 amp fuse.In advance of that I need to identify if our meter tails and consumer unit tails are 25mm (rather than 16mm).As I understand it, OVO 'own' the meter tails.I (or at least a qualified electrician) 'own' the consumer unit tails.UK Power networks 'own' that fuse.How do I work out what size the Ovo meter tails they are?(And any advice on the same for the consumer unit connection welcome!)Many thanks, Neil
