Why does the app advise people to contact chargeanytime@ovoenergy.com which is not a valid email address anymore?

Today, Thursday around noon, I called customer service today on 0330 303 5063 to discuss charge anytime fixed contract after 4th November. After passing the Security Checks I was told to hang up unless I had an emergency gas leak. What’s going on with Ovo, is it getting sold off/ customer reps getting laid off perhaps. I opened a chat and chose to chat with an adviser after their security checks, no response. Sitting in the chat function for 20 mins now, no one there, sent hellos - no reply. Let me know if you’re facing the same issue

@sujohnm that’s really strange. I’d say try calling again - the lines are open. I haven’t heard that there was an outage on Thursday but may have been the case. If you wanted to discuss a new Charge Anytime tariff you could also contact the Charge Anytime team themselves.

 

Please do let us know straight away if you have any further problems getting in contact - I’m hoping this was just a one off, and my apologies for the issues you had.
