Help! I am on a commercial electricity tariff  (not OVO) and want to change to a domestic tariff (smallholding that is not generating an income). I cannot find anyone to help. Will OVO let me switch to them? Thanks

HiThe app says my mercedes a250e is charging away from home on Monday-Wednesday and smart on Thursday-Sunday when the car is parked in the same place every time on the drive.It was OK at the start in November with an occasional away charge but now for the last 2 weeks it's been days on and days off.Any ideas 

I have just changed my Porsche Taycan 4SCT MY2023 for a new Taycan MY2025I have deleted the old car and added the new one. Charge Anytime is connected to My Porsche Account and the App can see the car and the SoC but gets stuck finishing the connection. On the Dashboard screen it says connecting to your Porsche with a wiring circle. The Last update time refreshes and has a green dot.I have charged the car but I get no credit.Is there an issue connecting to Gen 2 model year 2025 Taycans? 

Hi,Since moving to OVO from EDF on Jan 5th, the Geo Trio II IHD supplied by EDF will not connect to the SMETS2 smart meter also supplied by EDF.Even after resetting, it just sits there and say trying to connect. There appears to be a strong 5 bar WiFi signal and the IHD is less than 2 metres from the smart meter with no obstructions in between.When I look at the IHD the screen says      Meter Network Not Connected             Status 22-0      Not connected to meter network. If the problem persists, please contact your supplier.I have contacted OVO support and answered their initial questions but they also suggest seeking help here on the forum.Any ideas ?thanks and regards, Kevin  

When does Ovo start charging £1.50 for paper bills as I can’t see it being added on my January bill? Thanks  Sue

Hello. I have recently switched to OVO from octopus to take advantage of the heat pump tariff add on. But I can't see anywhere that the add on is active. Perhaps it is running in the back ground but I have no way of knowing. Has anybody got any experience of this? 

My elderly mother, who is fast approaching 97, recently received a demand, from OVO, for immediate payment of her account or, she was liable to receive a visit from the bailiffs!As she does not have access to the internet, she signed up, with OVO, to receive paper bills.The previous bill was received in, or around, May 2023. She has received no communication since. Why is this?As I've stated, she's almost 97 & lives independently. She does not have a mobile phone, computer, or internet access. Even if she had the latter, she'd not have a clue how to use it!! Where have paper bills gone?Do OVO care or even give a jot about their elderly customers?   

Hi, we just moved over to economy 9 from THTC on 5th Feb. I was looking at the new meter, I noticed two little contacts in bottom right corner and one  of them does not make contact?  Im sure I read somewhere on here someone else had this problem and it affected their billing? Help please.   

Hi I am trying to setup a schedule weekly payment on payg meter why can’t I do it

Hi - we had a smart meter installed at our property in the north of the isle of mull last summer but the engineer was not able to pick up a suitable signal despite all the pre-tests showing that this was an area which did have sufficient signal.Our meter is in an outhouse held within a closed metal box and I wonder if this is likely to be shielding the signal.  If this is the case then is it possible for an engineer to fit an aerial to the meter and connect into the installed but inoperative meter.If this is the case what is the process to get this done - will OVO do this It has proved very difficult getting an engineer to come given the island location.ThanksCharles

Hi,Can someone tell me or give a link to OVOs payg tariffs. I'm only looking for a single tariff and not an e7 etc. When I look at Renew Your Plan, there is no option to select payg. Why is this?Thanks

I am trying to switch to OVO from octopus as i am getting an EV and want to take advantage of the charge any time add on, I have SMETS2 metrers installed by octopus and currently have the Octopus GO tariff for off peak charging of my Hybrid.I consistantly get this message“Unfortunately, we can't give you a quote right now. We're currently unable to support your meter setup, but we're working on it and expect to offer quotes in 2025”It doesnt give me any other information about why i cant switch!!

I know I’m not the only person with incandescent light bulbs that are now collecting dust in a cupboard. My lights are now all using LED bulbs but I can’t bring myself to throw the old type ones away. What do other people do?

Hello, I wondered if someone could help me out. Excluding University, this is the first time I have lived away from home and it’s been around 5 months, so please excuse my naivety around this topic.When we moved into our building, we were unsure of how to access our meter, eventually we were told the readings were taken every month and placed on a communal notice bored - we do not have the code to access this ourselves. It is worth noting our full flat is powered by electricity, there is no gas. We have also been told we’re unable to have a smart meter by the estate agents.This is partly our fault for not chasing this up, but for 3 months the meter readings were not posted, so OVO charged us an estimate. When a meter reading for November was finally put up, we uploaded this and our bill and past bills went up by a lot (November would make sense that it went up, as we began using the heating as it was getting too cold to not use it). I had solar panels installed by Ovo in August 2024. The Shinephone app was installed on my new Samsung phone. It works but is slow to load and often needs two attempts to get it to work. With over 1m downloads, it is only rated at 2.6. I strongly suspect that it shows a figure for the power generated that is too low.Is there another app that can read the data and, ideally, the data from the smart meter as well in real time?

The app was working fine for a few months, but today I received a notification that the car was not connected to the app and needed to be reconnected. I tried to reconnect, but I am not receiving an email from Mercedes with the verification code. I have not encountered this issue before. I have checked my Mercedes me login, email, and junk folder. Do you have any other suggestions?

i go to the james bay concert on the 13th feb everytime i try to log in it just says this(ill attach the photo) my password and login is correct as i tried putting an incorrect password to see what it says but it didn’t even let me login, my friends have all accessed there tickets but i cant seem to get mine has anyone had the same issue??

I have done some reading on here and followed advice from other posters but I wanted to check to see if I have things setup right. Goals Be economical, not wasteful Keep temperature in the house at 22-23 degrees C Have hot water in the morning for showers and in the evening for bath for children Heating Setup I have it set to Compensation Curve, at 14 degrees external or below the temp is at 46 degrees for the rads (at least that’s how I understand it works) Thermostats are Heatmister Slimline, they are set at 23 degrees to knock off the rads if it gets too warm This setting is 24/7, I read that its better to keep the house at the same temp all the time. Plus we work from home all the time so don’t want it cooling during the day. Hot Water Setup I had it to warm the 200L tank up to 50 degrees between 2am and 4am, and to come on once the temp dropped 10 degrees but only during this time. Hi How long do it take for Charge Anytime credits to show up on your account ?

 During the early periods of high energy prices I was continually bombarded with emails to increase my DD as I “would not have enough money in my account to cover a 12 month plan’ and needed to ensure my account had a positive balance to cover any high bills” .  Considering that I wasn’t on any fixed plan, I really couldn’t understand OVO’s thinking.  Thankfully that particular period is over and everything has been good to this point.I have, for many years received an interest payment monthly on my bill for keeping a positive balance on my account.  This wasn’t a great amount - but it was now nice to have. Today, I have received an email informing me of the following:  “You’ll no longer get Interest Rewards from February 2024 This won’t affect your energy plan and our terms are staying the same.  Direct Debit payments need to be as accurate as possible The aim is to make sure customers are paying the right amount for their energy. We don’t want you to have more in your energy account
