Evening everyone im unable to top uo electric on my smart meter under maintenance i only 1 pound on and emergency used will it go off please

I’m an old SSE customer that was migrated to OVO earlier in the year. Our smart meter has been working fine and according to the website and app, it is sending readings over, but the reading has been the same each day for the last 9 days, despite the heating and water being used.When I check the reading on the meter itself, it shows the same as the reading that is being sent.  Looking back, there was also 7 days at the start of the month where this happened, and 3 days last month. The gas supply is working fine, so no problem there. I’m more than happy not to pay for it but something is definitely not right.This is the Smart Meter we have.Any advice would be much appreciated   

Hi All, I recently moved into a new house at the beginning of March and have received a bill fromOVO asking me to pay £700 from October to March, despite not living here. I have provided copies of my completion statement, my old tenancy contract, my old electric bills and a copy of moving company booking to prove this, however this has not been corrected and I am still being asked to pay this. I have contacted customer support numerous times, have been told that a case has been opened however whilst there is an open balance on my account with no direct debit, my details will be passed to credit reference agencies and third parties to seek collection. Has anyone got any advice on what I can do to resolve this. 

I have had a none-functioning smart meter since November. OVO have booked three appointments to send an engineer and each time no one has shown up, despite assurances I was a priority and me having phoned a few days beforehand to check the appointment was still booked. How can I ensure one of these elusive creatures actually attends?

Has anyone been able to reconcile their Battery Boost rebate figure with downloaded data from their system?Tried querying with OVO on several occasions but have had no comeback. 

Dear Ovo Team,  We started our contract with OVO on 23-11-2022 and the initial reading sent was 69108 taken on 25-11-2022.  However, the last reading updated on your system shows 63871. We moved into this apartment on 28-10-2022 and the reading was 68719, again confirmed by our lending agent. (At the time we were with SSE). There is a discrepancy of around 5000 units for which we are not liable and but we were charged with November bill which became as £1936.09. I have contacted Ovo several time during december and january, they never takes action, just give me promises.  After many calls and emails, they told me they are opening the meter reading dispute. I waited for a long time but didn't get any response. Then I again sent an email, and I got a call back from them, saying they will open a meter reading dispute and this time I got confirmation through email. Even though 12 weeks have passed, I didn't get my meter reading corrected or gotten any response from them.  Vasan

I had my smart meter installed last week and charge anytime worked fine on the first try. Last 2 nights there has been no charging so I had to do an urgent instant charge via the charger app this morning. The Renault app appears to be connected as it tells me how much charge I have, but Charge anytime is not initiating the charge. I have no idea how to resolve this.I feel as though I have 3 mechanisms of starting charge- by the Apex EV app, the Renault app or the charge anytime app and I don’t know whether this causes a problem.

I have noticed that over night the flow temp drops a lot and our upstairs temps fall quickly.Downstairs is very nice and warm.Could anyone help explain what might be happening here?My curve is 45@0 and 20@20. As you can see in the graph the flow temp was at its coldest when the temp outside was coldest. Graph is a 24 hour period. 

I live in a property with an economy 10 meter. We have tried to have a smart meter installed previously by OVO but it would not connect to the network due to our location.Are there any suggestions on how we could deal with this when the inevitable time to buy an electric car arrives?

After OVO installed a smart meter it kept tripping. I reported this and was informed to re set the trip. This has gone in now for a year, I turn off all electrical appliances at night and it still trips. Surely this is not right?

Can I share my power supply with another house and charge them for the power ? 

Hi All,I've recently swapped to OVO due to having an electric car. Everything been running fine until I saw my gas bill (which isn't great normally). I jumped from an average of about 70-80kw a day to 200kw randomly and about 1800kwh total for a 9day period.When I first swapped I was told I didn't have a smart gas meter (which I do) -then told it wasn't communicating correctly....and then told it was .I checked the app and for the period 28th jan- 6th Feb my readings were : 670 and 728 respectively which equates to 58units. I've calculated this to about approximately 660kwh for this period. I believe when ovo are calculating they are using imperial units as this would make sense why my total is 1800kw for this period. It appears the first smart reading they took was on the 28th when the issue began.I've spoken to customer service who genuinely didn't understand what I was talking about and refused to calculate. Are the staff not trained on this or was I unlucky? The lady offered me 30

HiIf you need a smart meter to replace an RTS meter you need to pick a tariff. Does anyone know how easy is it to change to a different tariff afterwards if you decide the one you chose is not for you?  What is involved in making a change?Asking for a relative who we need to sort the new meter out for. They have storage heaters on at night. We booked an appointment and picked Economy 10 but I am not sure the night hours are long enough for the storage heaters so think we may need to do more research. I don’t know if Economy 7 still exists as an option for storage heaters.Also, I know the leaflet says RTS is being switched off at the end of June (I think) but would it really affect electricity access after that date if you haven’t sorted it? I am sure that warning must have worried a great many people and surely the energy companies must have known about all this for a long while. What happens to the people they haven’t sorted by then as they seem to have hundreds of thousands to sort o

Hello, I keep getting phone calls from the number 03330341574 which does not recognise as anything. The first two times they phoned I did not answer, but looked the number up online and read that people had found it was a scam number pretending to be OVO collections. Googling OVO collections also gives a different contact. They didn't email me like they usually would after missing a call so I did think it was a scam. I also asked the live chat about the number and they said OVO hadn't attempted to contact me. The third time I phoned back and it was an automated voice saying it was OVO collections and asking me to move to WhatsApp..?Does anyone know if this number is a genuine OVO contact? I don't want to be avoiding them if it is. Thanks!

My contract is ending in August. I’m paying £236/m for both E&G albeit was £173/m for months due to asking to cap my DD at that, hence why I’m in debit of £366…… Can’t really afford £236/m anyway but have no choice….My electric is 33p p/h (43p SC);My gas is 10p p/h (30p SC)This month’s bill is £188…..Not sure what is going on, hardly use any gas, mainly electric..I can’t even pay off this £366 debit by card due to paying via DD, which is stupid….My (smart) electric meter tells me I’m paying an avg 23pp/h (700kw/h).Is it worth me looking for deals elsewhere these days?

Re the meter balance figure, is this a weekly/monthly figure?  Is there VAT on top of this?Meter replaced 5th Feb.I think we might be using more electric than the THTC tariff, still trying to work things out and compare to what we were using last year this time.  

Hi everyone, hope your all well!  Just looking for a bit of advise if I may.  we have recently had an Ecodan ASHP installed, worked great for a few days but then noticed it kept giving L9 error every night from 10–11pm. The only think to happen at them times is that the UFH goes off at 10pm but I’m guessing by the time the actuators close etc it’s probably why it happens at random times.I have changed the UFH to go off at 11:00pm and now L9 happens 11:30ish. Once reset the ASHP is reset the system works lovely, but what’s weird is if I turn the stats down during the day everything works fine. Only seems to happen on a night!!  Our installer said Mitsubishi have said it’s a dodgy 2 port valve, which is maybe but he can’t get back for a little while as he’s away at the moment. But if I can get some help it means I pay and get someone else in to fix it but don’t want to throw money at the problem without knowing. thank you 🙏🏻

I have just joined OVO anytime as I recently bought a hybrid car. The battery capacity is 25.9 kw but I noticed the savings on the app were being reflected to around 18kw and on days I charged the car the daily energy usage costs were significantly higher than days I did not charge.I called OVO and they had the wrong capacity stored on the system at 17.9kw. I supplied confirmation that my model had a 25.9kw gross battery capacity and 21.9kw net usable battery - they said the latter was the figure they should be using for calculating the discounted tariff.This is incorrect as the previous battery on older models of my car was 17.9kw gross and 14.1kw net usable. Maybe worth checking that OVO have the correct capacity stored for your vehicle so you are also not being over charged.Not a great first impression of this company and still awaiting them to sort out the issue 

Do I repay a gas debt and standing charge whilst running on emergency credit 

Hi, I am a landlord trying my best to resolve an issue with a storage heater not working. I've had two electricians out and they both say that everything is fine back to the meter. And two meter engineers told me everything is fine at they're end too. During a call to ovo whilst I was there, the tenant told the phone agent that he isn't on an economy 7 tariff...could this have been the problem all along? Will it simply not turn on without an economy tariff??? It was working whilst I was doing the flat up, and at that time I had an economy 7 tariff. At the moment I the electrician has wired it up to the normal rate and it's working fine. Now he wants me to pay his extortionate electric bill...it's a bit of a headache. Please help.

Hi I want to amend a previous reading I inputted incorrectly  

Hi guys,I was wondering if anyone could shed light with my issue. It just started today and only had it installed June 8th. As I was plugging my car to charge instead of your usual indicator, it started flashing purple indicator 5 times. As well as in the web app it is not recognising the device.Please help.  

Apparently I didn’t meet the target in September, strange as was away for 2 weeks..🤣

I am looking at the solar panel/battery combination, and wondered about using Economy 7 overnight to top up the batteries. What concerns me is that if the battery is filled 100% at night, there will be no space left to store any free power when the sun comes up. What I was hoping was that today’s systems would work out how much spare capacity to leave in the battery overnight to prevent that from happening.  Obviously that calculation would vary by season.Has anyone any information about this please? I have yet to find anything online.
