I was given an RTI code for a £100 refund. I’ve had flu so not been able to go to shop to put on my key. Does the RTI code have an expiry date? 

Hello! We have recently installed a 12kw Zubadan air heat pump in nov2024. I am not happy with the usage as we used thermostats and it consumed too much - but this is another topic. The issue now is that in january the consumed hot water energy is bigger than the delivered hot water energy: consumed DHW - 186 delivered DHW - 141. How is this possible? I don’t know how the settings are done for hot water, but this not seems physically possible. We have the model with the 200l hydrotank inside.

Hi, 5 days ago my IHD began showing lost connection. It had been working perfectly since install in September. I’ve read on this forum that it could be to do with no mobile reception but we have that and can tell by the WAN red light flashing frequently on the elec meter. (Plus it worked perfectly before). Does the IHD need repairing with the smart meter? Thanks Will

The garage where our cars are parked is about 4 metres from the house and Distribution Board. There is a standard 13 amp socket in the garage on a spur from the house. The garage is hardly larger than the cars, a golf estate and a polo.  The estate has to go nose in, the polo tail in, so as to be able to exit the cars in the small space between ever-widening car dimensions. We have solar panels on the house, which feed surplus into the grid, and an economy 7 tariff. Is it possible to fit one - and in future 2 - chargers in the garage? How much space is required around the cars to be able to connect to them - or is that a “how long is a piece of string?” question that depends on the specific model? Does the system allow for daytime charging using surplus from the panels, but otherwise only the night-time electricity?

Hi all - long time listener first time caller, This is a Charge Anytime question aimed at any folks from Ovo who frequent the forums. I have a Polestar 2, and a Pod Point Solo 3 charger.Neither of these are currently supported with the new Charge Anytime, so I was wondering if there is an anticipated timeline for additional EVs to be added to the supported car list, or is it a case of Ovo rolling out new EV support whenever it can become available? I appreciate a lot of this is out of Ovo’s hands & they are reliant on what the EV can actually do, but if there is an anticipated timeline for other EVs (if this is even possible) then it would be really helpful. Many thanks!

Good afternoon, I hope you are all well.I just wanted to ask if any of you have had a similar problem. Recently, the DNO (UK Power Network) completed a power upgrade, and we now have a 200A, 130KVA CT ratio 400:5 power supply.We were with British Gas, but they couldn’t upgrade our meter to a CT three-phase meter, so I contacted OVO to ask if they could supply the required meter.Both the chat and phone representatives confirmed that there would be no issues and that OVO could handle it.Although the account will be domestic, they explained that they would need to book CT work and arrange a commercial booking. This means OVO would need to appoint SMS as the MOP (Meter Operator), according to advice given by an OVO engineer.I switched to OVO, booked the appointment, paid the £325 fee, and received the date. Hi All,Had a look through the forum and couldn't quite see a thtc query that covered my questions.Obviously I need to move to a smart meter but an OVO engineer came out but then said they couldn't change the meter because I had a thtc setup (even though this was why OVO sent him) he said he'd let them know and they'll be in touch to sort. I haven't had anything other than another email saying they'll be in the area and I need to book an appointment to change the meter.I haven't had any other info on what the plan is but surmise itll be E7 or E10, I even had to go to the ombudsman last year and ended up with a significant amount of compensation and confirmation they couldn't make the change as they had no way to decommision the second mpan and I'd still be charged or my system may not work (maybe this has changed now but that was less than 6 months ago).Anyway, my main question is about hot water as I no longer have the bigger storage heaters, I do have small ones that I can turn on as

Hi, need help! I was taken to court by OVO without my knowledge as I had moved to a new address. I saw my credit report and realised I now have CCJ. I’m attempting to pay the balance in full to get it removed from my credit file, however I have no details of who to pay to, the account to pay into etc. I called OVO customer services but they weren’t able to help, and were giving me different amounts. I want to pay the ccj debt but don’t know who their legal team is. The ccj was filed on the 23rd of August, which means I have to pay by 23rd September to get it removed without waiting 6 years. Does anyone have the details of their legal team, who I can contact and confirm the judgment with? Thank you 

I am a THTC customer on  complex meters.The app doesn't support complex meters and redirects you to sign in online Except it actually doesn't and every time I try to sign in through the online browser it constantly tells me sorry the app doesn't support.…Why am I unable to access the online account 

OVO tell me that I have to chose either economy 7 or economy 10 before I can book a smart meter appointment as they need different smart meters?  Does this mean I won’t be able to move tariff once the smart meter is installed?  Also they tell me they will fit a timer so that I can boost heating with convection heaters on the off peak rate or boost the hot water?  I am quite confused as at the moment all our heating, hot water, and electric shower operate on the off peak rate at any time of day. I understood that they had to offer the same set up but they tell me they will support this type of tariff?  Can some one explain how the hot water, shower and panel heaters will work or what tariff they will run on? Or will they only run at cheap rate during the economy 10 hours. How do my quantum storage heaters know when the cheap rate is?I find the whole situation confusing and unfair when we have the THTC tariff and set up because we have no mains gas option and it is cold in the North East

We purchased a property that had lay empty for some months prior to purchase.  Furthermore, we’ve not lived in it we have cosmetic renovations undertaken.The previous tenant was with OVO on PAYG for gas and electric so we thought for ease we would stick with OVO then instructed them to switch to meter supply, which we did, OVO having advised that we had smart meters.  Over the course of the month, the contractors have reported the power going off on 3 to 4 occasions, having top top up the PAYG card.  On every happening, I have contacted OVO and they have said it has been transferred over to meter. To compound the issue, just over a month later, the first bill is showing daily usage despite nobody living in the property, on both the gas and and electric.  Furthermore, the contractor has notified us that the gas has been capped off!As a side story, the adjoining neighbour has informed us that when the previous tenant was in our property, they use to top up the PAYG and the credit went on

I had a tenant who left a rental property without paying the energy bill. As a landlord with a formal contract, one that states the tenant is responsible for all utility bills. Under current law, as a landlord I am not liable for any areas. How do i ensure Ovo accept this legal right?

I notice the App has stopped updating my daily usage.  Does this mean that my smart meter has stopped sending data to OVO ?  IHD still works OK

OK, here’s an interesting one for someone at OVO to explain, and sort.Courtesy of “Eowyn” I had no electricity from just before 1600 on Friday until just before 0800 on Saturday as was the case with a large part of Argyll & Bute Council area (amongst others). I can’t praise SSEN engineers enough for getting out in the atrocious weather conditions and sorting the carnage that quick as well as laying on mobile food outlets. If you don’t believe me re the outage please refer to BBC news or SSEN!When I did my regular daily check of usage for Powermove via the OVO website yesterday it was showing that I had used 2.11 kwh for the day on Friday with nothing past 1600hrs (correct - I couldnt!).  Imagine my surprise when logging in to check things today and I find although Friday is still showing no use after 1600, the daily figure has jumped to 4.80kWh with Saturday daily showing as 4.79 starting with 0.06kWh for 0730.  Total for the 2 days 9.59kWh. Looking at hourly figures for both days

Hi newbie here and need advice.We were with SSE but I believe OVO took over the account some time ago. The last 3 top ups I have done have definitely not added up. We put  the emergency 2 days ago which is £15 and we only get notification at 50 pence left. Today I put £30 on the key and went to top up, the meter said about £8 left of emergency,so we owed £7 to my mind. So I put the £30 in and the meter showed the key had £30 on it. The meter then showed that we had only £13 credit whereas it should have been £23, a shortfall of £10. There is no debt with this meter and to be honest we rarely use the emergency except during the colder periods purely because of the lack of warning until 50 pence left. We have got letters from them saying that we haven't topped up in a while but every week for many years at least £25 goes in a week without fail. So are OVO charging £10 every time you use the emergency electric or are they scamming us or have been hacked themselves. Any thoughts welcome bu

I have twice had an engineer out to fit a Smart meter only to be told  because I'm on Economy 10 it's not possible as Economy 10 has          3 phases and Smart meters only allow for two. Indeed up until about a year ago Ovo's own website stated quite clearly that there was no Smart meter which was compatible with Economy 10 (that section of the OVO website seems to have disappeared). Now I gather from the News Media that after the end of June our Economy 10 meters are not going to work!!!To date I have not received any notification of this.  I and numerous others where I live would like to have a CLEAR explanation of what is going on specifically as regards Economy 10. 

I have two questions:18th Jan, 12:00AM to 01:00AM - Surely this time period is nonsense? Was it supposed to be 00:00AM to 01:00AM ie. midnight to 1am or 12:00AM to 01:00PM ie. first hour of the afternoon. I assumed it meant the first hour of the afternoon.   If it was the first hour of the afternoon when I had my washing machine and dishwasher going, then I shifted at least 1kWh over my normal usage so should have received £0.15 instead of £0.00.Can someone confirm what is going on. Thanks 

Can I get a smart meter for my 3 phase home supply and benefit from the overnight EV tariff.It seems like none of the electrical supply companies can offer me or even explain the benefits of having a smart meter connected to a domestic 3 phase supply.I have two electric vehicles so this would make sense. At the moment I have a standard Economy 7  meter connected to a 3 phase supply and I am charged on a split tariff where my overnight electricity is nowhere near 7p per kwh.  

The last step on the OVO charge anytime app tells me to enable the ‘find my car’ functionality for vehicle location. I have been searching for this in the car as far as I can see location is on but there isn’t anything specifically that says ‘find my car’. Can anyone help? 

When I first signed up to my new fixed tariff this is the information I had.But when I spoke to an agent online this is the information she gave me which is completely different.And this morning I received the contract.The main reason I sign up was because I thought it a better deal came up I would be able to change without any fees.

I had an electrician round this afternoon to discuss fitting a EV charge point and he said that we need an upgraded fuse cut out, the house was built in the 1930s and it's probably the original fuse cut out (the fuse element is just a piece of copper wire!).I need this upgrading to something safer and with at least an 80A fuse.The electrician was also asking what earthing facility is at the property and how the earth is provided in the street.  There doesn’t seem to be a DB earth terminal.Who do I contact?  (I live in Staffordshire, distribution ID 14) Many thanksSteve

Hi Alli have been on a quarterly billing cycle since i automatically got transferred to ovo years ago, i have now had an email informing me that i am now moving to monthly bills, i know ovo do not do monthly billing for new customers but i would still prefer a quarterly bill instead of monthly as thats what i have always had. does anybody know if this is somethng i can stay on or is it a non negotiable change that all customers now have been moved to?any help appreciated.

Hi has anybody else had a similar outage?On the 11th of December my electricity smart meter stopped sending half hourly readings to OVO. Funnily enough my dad who is with EDF experienced the same outage in smart readings on the same day.  Which now means I can’t take part in PowerMove. I’ve emailed OVO support and got the reply to wait 32 days to see if the meter will reset itself.
