Hi all,I’ve just moved to OVO, and added Charge Anytime so I can charge my new EV at a sensible price 😁I’ve had an Indra Smart Pro charger installed, specifically because it’s on the ‘approved’ list. When I set up Charge Anytime I initially picked my EV - a Cupra - because the Indra hadn’t been installed at that point. But once installed, I went back through the process of setting up Charge Anytime and picked the Indra instead.My first Smart Charge - last night - went well. I set a time for the car to be charged in the Indra App, and it duly did the business 😁. The Indra seems to ‘know’ about Charge Anytime, and also about the Cupra, so everything seems to be joined up. Charge Anytime seems to ‘know’ about the Cupra too, but does not mention the Indra.So finally to my question. What happens when I have a visitor?  Can just I plug in their EV instead, and assume the Indra Charger will smart charge it at Charge Anytime rates? 

I am waiting for a replacement card from my bank so have no way to pay online at the moment and my billing period ends tomorrow, I just wondered how long I have to pay until I receive late charges? Also will my electricity cut off until I pay?I could go to my bank and try to make a transfer in branch.Thanks in advance for helpful replies.

Hi all,I have been living in a rented property for the last 2 years. Since moving into the flat, we have been toping up the gas and electricity via pay-as-you-go. However, during all this time, the account has been under the name of the landlord.I finally decided to update the account details to my name yesterday (15/04/23). The change was surprisingly quick and painless… or so I thoughtI have just checked my meter and all the credit we have built up over the past few months (a combination of the government monthly payments plus our own top-ups) has vanished and we are now on emergency credit! We had around £200 credit on our account (circa £100 in gas and electricity each).What I think has happened, is that Ovo recognised this credit as belonging to the landlord - so they have either paid it back to him (which would be weird seeing as its a pay-as-you-go account, there should be no debit card on file to refund the credit to), or the have taken the money for themselves?!I currently can

I've been offered 4 new Energy plans 2 fixed Rate ones and  2 Variable ones. If I don't choose one I will be automatically rolled into one of the variable plans but there is no mention of when this is going to take happen and how long I have left on my current plan.

I'm looking to go onto a fixed plan but was wondering will i still get the cheaper 10p per kilowatt through the charge anytime app when charging the car?

I have a payg smart meter and not had an issue before receiving the payment before.  I have been told today a voucher was sent??? Why?  It has always been added straight onto meter.

I’m having a smart meter fitted soon, but both my gas and electric meters are outside our property - will this affect the installation of the smart meter?  Any advice is gratefully received.  Thank you  

I had an electricity meter installed in April for the good it’s done me..  Every month they ask me to submit manual readings because they can’t get smart reading. I don’t have a clue how to read it - the engineer didn’t show me. What is the point of a smart meter that doesn’t work and I can’t use. Ovo are awful.  Can’t wait to leave. However any advice on how to read meter greatly appreciated.  Thanks

After getting a generic “ineligible for smart meter” message online, I messaged to ask why I was ineligible and I was told that I could get a smart meter installed but only if I lose one hour of off peak rate.When I queried further I was told that OVO only have “ECO 7” smart meters available which are 7 hours overnight off peak.  My plan has 8 hours off peak (just a domestic rolling variable plan).Has anyone else experienced this?  Does this sound right?   I didn’t progress any further because I didn’t want to commit to worse terms just for the sake of a smart meter.  It felt a bit like they were saying yes you can have a smart meter, but it’s going to cost you. 

I have noted from others that instructions are non existent especially for 80 years olds.I yesterday returned from a holiday to find my Kaluza app had disappeared from my iPad.It when I eventually found it refused to accept my password.I then tried to join the charge anytime and eventually today using the old password as a reset password joined up, I think. What I need to know is, when I have finished with the car each day, do I just plug it in to the charger (Indra) and it does it with me doing no more? I have filled in the times in the Kaluza page and it looks just like the Indra page.Is there anything else I have to do?  

I called Ovo regarding moving my gas meter a meter away on the same outside wall. They initially said they could and when I rang back a 2nd time said I couldn't. I rang Cadent who then said Ovo could stretch the Anaconda cable 1 meter on an outside wall and would be far quicker and cheaper. Rang back and office closed. So frustrated. Does anyone know if this can be done by Ovo? Thinking of changing supplier I'm that fed up after 2 hours of calls.!

I have made the switch to OVO and according to the website it says ovo has been supplying me since the 5th April, meter reading all provided so I have done everything my end. As we have EV cars I need to add charge anytime asap as they need charging but because the account hasn’t been setup I’m struggling.how long does it take before I can add charge anytime, this while process does not seem efficient.

Smart meter not working at all now, gas hasn't worked since leaving Coop ....only had a problem since changing supplier which wasn't my choice the Coop migrated all their customers to another supplier.Had an engineer booked for early this year but it was cancelled due to Covid-19 which I understood. Had no feedback from Ovo since. The Co-op had my meter installed and it worked perfectly until I changed supplier.I understand after hearing a call from an Ovo customer with the same problem who called a radio 5 programme after being told by the ombudsman there was nothing they could do because a third party was involved, namely the National Data Base. So not holding out much hope that my problem will be fixed either. So back to  sending manual energy readings. 

Hi everyone,Back to thinking again about how to manage our heat pump better and I don’t think this has been covered yet, so I am looking to start a conversation with you all.We got our second ASHP (after a Northern Gas special) in August 2021. We tend to go away twice each winter, one month at a time, so have now been away four times.We got no information on what to do to ‘shut down’ our house for holidays from either installer. When we had a combi gas boiler, we’d just set our Nest thermostats to 9C (so the house didn’t freeze) and then tell the house to heat up again about 24hrs before our return - the app is particularly useful here.We still have Nest and now an ASHP with a hot water tank and Eddi solar diverter. We were content to set our thermostats to 9C and tell Eddi not to heat our water with excess solar, but the ASHP still wanted to heat up the water tank all the time. Hi, I have a PAYG - not smart meter. My screen is blank, even though I have tried pressing the blue button. I topped up my key card with £50 but I'm not sure if it was processed as my screen is blank. I'm really worried my electricity will run out as it's the Easter holiday weekend. I tried to call SSE/OVO earlier but they keep punting me to their website chat - who tell me to call them. I can't get any contact. Any ideas what I can do? There was a power failure earlier in the week but my electricity is still on. Thanks in advance 

We have recently bought a VW-ID3 and are using a ‘Granny’ charger during Economy 7 night period. Would Charge Anytime work with this type of charger? Also - does anyone know when OVO will include VW’s in its list of eligible vehicles? 

Hi, just moved to Ovo and signed up for charge anytime.  Are there any particular settings I need to do in my ohme home pro app to make sure it works? Car is a polestar 2, so I have to use the charger for interaction with the Anytime Plan. Thanks in advance.

Hello,I  am on a Pay as you Go Smart Meter.  I just received an email to say they wanted to switch me from monthly readings. It said to give me more accurate bills.  I don't get bills on payg. They had my name and account number.  There was a link to a form to fill in my preferences myself so I said I wanted daily/ half hourly readings.  I noticed an icon in the top right hand corner which said My Account.  When I pressed it it took me to a page which is for credit meter accounts.  I phoned and the lady said they might have sent it to wrong person.  She said she could change my readings to daily/ half hourly there while on the phone.  I am anxious that they are going to change my meter from PAYG to credit mode.  She said no it will still be PAYG as they still take meter readings.  Have I done the wrong thing filling in the form?  They had my correct account number. I want to stay on PAYG. I am worried I did the wrong thing with the form as I was half asleep.  I had something like this

Hello, I've recently had a new smart meters installed. The electric one is working fine, but the gas meter has failed to send a single smart reading. So far I've had to submit manual readings. Does anyone know how to re-sync the two meters so Gas readings are automatically sent to OVO? I've got some of the 2nd generation meters. I am talking to OVO about the issue but they are being very slow, and whenever I do get a response they keep referring me back to fixes for the older style smart meters.  

Hi, we are usually emailed our bill but haven't received this month's. We have just been informed that our account has been put on a 'billing hold, ' although the bill is still showing on our online account and we have been advised to carry on paying our bills from here until the issue has been resolved. Why would our account be put on a billing hold? Is it just a technical issue? Something to do with the Government energy support scheme? We have never missed a payment and send regular meter reading etc
