Hi, my electricity meter has a flashing light where WAN is signed, is the meter faulty, what can I do to remedy this situation?   Thanks.

hi, we had solar panels, an inverter and pure drive battery fitted. So far we have used a fraction of electricity produced. The battery does not charge or discharge.Installer says it’s a fault and are waiting for pure drive- I think it’s set up as it charged from the grid at one point and discharged to the house, but they changed the settings and now nothing.Installer also say the meter doesn’t show up on the system in any their installations. The meter in our fuse box has remained at zero. The real question - is this a set up fault or a product fault? Thanks

I pay my  monthly electricity bills by cheque. November’s  statement/bill did not include the £66 gov grant so I queried this and did not pay it.   December’s statement/bill showed 2 x £66 grants  plus November’s bill and  a £10 penalty charge for late payment.  I paid the sum due for both months less the £10 penalty charge. This was applied to my account for a late payment.Now I am being pursued with red notices and phone calls and my explanations not accepted.How can I get the penalty payment removed and the black mark on my credit taken away? 

Martin Lewis has said Ovo are offering fixed price plans to existing customers.  Am i the only one who doesnt have this offer? With my monthly direct debit now hitting £414 Ovo won't want to fix mine!   I used to pay £150  and had a  decent cash pot returned to me at the end of the annual term.

Hi All - has anyone else had problems with getting properly compensated for shift and save events because their smart meter has stopped communicating? I’ve participated in all events offered so far and initially everything seemed to work OK.  I made a considerable effort not to use any power during the requested time and was happy with the payment made. However, over the past 6 occasions OVO have said they will credit my account based on past usage because my smart meter wasn’t sending them readings.  I have queried this with them as their credits are paltry compared to what I would have earned had the smart meter been working, but they say the meter is working OK, and it is just coincidental that it stops talking when I need it to.I do the events because I think they’re important but like everyone I can also do with being properly paid for my efforts.I’d be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem, and what if anything they’ve been able to do about it!  Thanks all

My Outgoing tenant advised Ovo that the meter does not work 3 months agoThe seals are missing tooThe tenant has now  left I can not get a final readingI will not be able to do a reading for the new tenant I have spoken to 3 ovo staff but none can get an engineer to come out and fix the meter.If I create an  account in my name as they asked they will charge me I am sure Ovo have a legal responsibility to have an emergency number for faulty and possible tampered meters. None of the staff even know who to escalate the issue to.Currently I left it for the person I spoke to find the right department and get it sorted.Good luck ovo,glad I'm not a customer    

I have recently switched to OVO. I understand that I need to activate Charge Anytime using my online account.  The problem is I don’t seem to have this option. I have been to the ‘offers and upgrades’ page where it tells me about Charge Anytime, but I don’t seem to have any way to actually add it to my account.  Does anyone know what I need to do?  Many thanks

Im trying to switch to Ovo Energy but the quotes keep insisting on signing up with a Day and Night rate although I only have a single rate SMETS2 meter.  The call centre seem to have the same issue - how can I get this fixed?

I had new smart meters fitted yesterday afternoon. Rather shocked to see my costs at over £5 for half a day by the time I went to bed!!! Most of it was Gas usage (>£3) and it wasn't even a cold day. According to my Nest thermostat, the boiler was only running approx 1.5 hours since the meter was fitted. How can 1.5 hrs heating equate to £3 usage ? Boiler (not combi) is rated 24 kW max and tariff shows 4p/kW (which is wrong - should be 2.68p). My basic maths suggests this should be 1.5 hrs * 24 kW * £ 0.04 = £ 1.44 + 27p standing charge. That assumes boiler runs at full tilt the whole time which is not correct as I hear it modulate down after a few minutes. This doesn't seem right to me. Even if/when the tariff is corrected it seems too high. How can I get the tariff set to the one I'm actually signed up to? How likely is it I've got a duff meter that is reading too high on gas?

New untethered Smart Ohme Epod released but not showing on oVo choice of smart chargers. Surely this is an oversight and it will be compatible as it looks like it should be. Any ideas ?

In your discussion on SMETS1 vs SMETS2 you indicate that SMETS1 meters will be made DCC compliant by end 2019 but you do not make it clear if this will be a hardware fix done by an engineer at the house or a remotely activated software download. (I mean in respect of the meters you are currently installing).

Hi I know I am not the brightest tool in the box!Ovo offer battery electric cars a home charging standard rate of £0.07p a unit. (no standing charge).I have a set of home Batteries charged by off peak electric at 13.59p a unit, and topped up during the day by 4kw solar panel's.The un used power held in the car batteries can be fed back into the house when needed.so the car battery is doing the same as my house batteries at a far lower rate (10p) than the off peat rate! the only difference is the car batteries are on wheels! can any one explain WHY? there should be so much price differance...I can understand if it was the other way round to cover charging point installation cost. 

Hi I’ve been trying to switch for last 2 months . They send me a letter on 16 of may and they told to pay a deposit of £250 and I did pay them £350 just to show them I’m serious about it. Basically they told soon as I pay the deposit they will do the switch in 14 days. I’ve been waiting for 1 month and a half since I pay the money and I haven’t had anything from them not even a single respond. I don’t know what to and to who to talk to. Please can you give me an advice. Thank you. 

My OVO bill is calculated to the 24th of each month.My IVIE monitor calculates to the first of every month.Is there any way to synchronise them to the same date?

I've downloaded the charge anytime app. I'm awaiting my charger to be installed can I still join for charge anytime while I'm waiting? Or do I have to wait for the charger to be installed? I understand the app is mainly for the D2V side of things.  Note I'm already with OVO now for my normal energy.

Can someone help me find my gas and electric serial numbers!

Can anyone please tell me if there is an electricity supplier out there who can accept my Kia eNiro and ZAPPI wall charger for an EV tariff?  As soon as I find one I will be leaving (environmentally conscious) OVO.

When the smart meters were set to communicate with each other, the CU tripped.   The engineer could not solve the problem and simply left the installation without my knowing exactly what the problem was and how ( or who ) was going to solve it.    I am now in limbo !Any suggestions appreciated.

I will shortly be having my Smets1 meter upgraded to Smets2.  What happens to the historical usage stats associated with my MyOVO account.  Will they still be available? In the future, I may be considering installing battery storage so that I can charge the batteries overnight (cheap rate) and then use the stored energy during the day (avoiding peak rate). To cost justify this project, it would be dependent on the historical stats I have over the past 18 months.  I don’t think that a download of the usage stats is available yet.  Will I need to manually record them myself before the upgrade to avoid them disappearing?

Hi I moved into a new home in October last year. The previous owner had pre pay meters in the property with NPower I have already requested credit ones which I passed the credit checks but nearly 6 months on NPower have failed over and over to honour the change of meters and the prices on these meters are once again increasing! I have tried a few other suppliers but they are not interested in removing NPowers prepay meters and advised me to get them too which has been a waste of time can anyone give me some advice does OVO do this?

We have warm air heating which is currently serviced annually.   Does OVO maintain and service this type of boiler?

When using charge anytime. Which easier or more consistent? Connect to the car or connecting to the charger? 

If me and my partner both have teslas in the household. Would the charge anytime rate apply to both cars?
