Hi,I am currently on the 1 year fixed loyalty contract for both gas and electricity, having been with OVO for around 4 years prior.I am looking into possibly leaving to go to another provider, for cheaper rates relating to EV cars…Can i remain with OVO on just my Gas contract , or do i need to pay to leave both Gas and Electricity?It just says £75 to leave under each, so i assume i can leave just one, ie electricity and pay £75 and not £150 for both...ThanksTHS

Can anyone inform me of my off peak hours?I'm on pre payment meter so I suspect they're little different to a contract, I imagine I am being ripped off by getting less hours or later start times 

Been on  a Payg gas metre with SSE now OVO. Twice now since OVO took over had email saying I'm using gas and not paying. Last email saying I owe money, even though metre in credit.Now the funny part is, my gas isn't even on! I'm not living in the property, Gas boiler doesn't work and I have it switched off at the metre. So I only need to top it up on the card here and there to cover the standing charge. I phoned helpdesk both times and was told to ignore the email, but why is this even happening?It seems to me the system doesn't like the fact I'm not using gas, so assumes that I must be and just makes something up out of literally nothing. Please please 🙏 OVO can you sort yourselves out!! If it happens again, I'm seriously thinking about just permanent disconnect. And or switching to another company. Seems like I'm not the only one on PAYG that has these problems.

We were required to do a software update by solis, all was going well until the inverter became unresponsive. The display is lit but all the digits are like black squares. No matter what buttons we press there is no change. It has just stopped working. We have been back in contact with solis and have been given various instructions, but they all require us to select menus on the inverter. They aren't grasping that the buttons don't do anything. So I'd thought I'd ask here if anyone has any ideas about how we get the inverter to wake up and start working.  

Hi, last year I was automatically changed from SSE to OVO. I've never created a online account, I tried months ago but during the sign up process i got some kind of error message, my details didn't match. I've tried signing up with multiple account numbers, I share the flat with my brother and although both names are on the account (letters) i seems to have different account numbers on various letters, I have tried the account number that was on a old sse letter too . Anyhow, I'm moving out this upcoming Wednesday and I read as I have smart meters I can tell OVO online and it's a simple process. But I can't create a account to do this. I'm worried when I move out I will continue to be charged and stuff. I've got so much to do between now and Wednesday I can't afford to be waiting for ages on hold over the phone and if I was to ring I don't even know what account number is linked to my meters (account) it's probably made more confusing as me and my twin brother are both on the account t

Kaifa M120 displays Rates 1 and 2 for Economy 7 Metering, OVO are invoicing the 2 rates separately but IHD3 only shows 1 rate? How can I see both rates on my IHD3 as I was told I would?  Can anyone help?

We’ve been on Power Move for many months without hitting the target. However, last month we used virtually no power at all - we were on holiday and the house was empty. This is the email we received:   During June your smart meter failed to send us readings at certain times, so we couldn’t see the full picture of your electricity use.   Unfortunately this means you won’t receive a Power Move credit this month. Has anyone else received this email? Has anyone actually got the credit for achieving Power Move or is it a con?

Hi there, I had a smart meter installed about a month ago. In the last couple of weeks the lights in the apartment have started flickering, particularly when power-hungry devices (e.g. kettle, microwave) are used. Over the last week or so this has got worse, and now occurs even when no appliances are in use. An electrician came today and couldn’t find any potential causes, but isn’t allowed to look inside the smart meter because it’s property of OVO. I contacted OVO this afternoon and they’re not able to send anyone out to resolve this worsening issue for the next 3.5 weeks.  Is this issue common with smart meters? Are there any potential solutions to this in the short term?Many thanks!

We are currently on a 3-phase supply with OVO and use all three phases (Ground source heat pump on all three, house on L1 and outbuilding on L2). Ovo metering team cannot yet fit a polyphase smart meter in this area I’ve been told and we are on a Elster A1100 3-phase meter installed 4 years ago. We also have a small solar array on the house roof with a single phase inverter connected onto the house phase (L1). it is not a very large installation, producing just over 10kWh a day, and has no battery to store any unsed production - we currently give it away for free to the grid(!) QUESTION - Does anyone know if this type of polyphase meter performs a vector sum of all phases such that the net consumption is billed to me. (ie can I be producing a couple of kilowatts of solar on L1 and using the same or less on L2 and not see the meter reading increase? I don’t like the thought of giving away electricity for free, but the economics of adding a battery (and space required) plus the lack of a

OVO have lost my payment. I sent proof of payment ie bank statement showing paymentIt has now been over 6 weeks and they have not replied nor credited me with my payment Operator online assured me payment would show on my account in 5 days.  That was two weeks ago£97.19 is a substantial amount to lose and I (who can) cannot afford to cover this Please help find this money. And credit my account please !!!!

I was an SSE customer but with the take over my account has been migrated over to OVO.The first month i did’nt really check what was happening with my  OVO balance as im on a smart  meter.  at the start of august i checked my balance against my bill ,my ending balance was  £126 .a few weeks later i was checking my usage and saw that my balance had gone down to £116 check if i had been billed again ? no ! checked if there was any information as to why it had gone down , again no! so i called OVO and asked why my balance had gone down before my billing date and what the charge was for i was giving a number for SSE i was been charge by them and they where debiting my OVO balance , so i called and was told that had no idea about it and that my SSE account was closed and migrated over to OVO  i so  i asked for them to send me  an email stating so with closing balance ,they did so . called OVO back and asked again why my balance had gone down  before my billing date  this time i was told the

Car bz4xIndra Smart ProCharge anytime has worked well for several months. However, today the history page is showing the charger offline and charging is not recorded. The charger is charging and seems to be functioning normally. Kaluza can see(show) what I’m charging, it updates when I set a charge time and switches between Solar and normal charge showing all changes in the app.I have restarted the router and Indra charger which goes through its start up sequence and shows no errors. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi everyone,I'm currently using Home Assistant for my smart home setup and I'm wondering if anyone here in Australia has developed or knows of a plugin for integrating OVO Energy with Home Assistant.I am aware of the official integration but it only seems to work in the UK.I would love to be able to monitor my energy usage and manage my account directly from Home Assistant. Please can you advise on the below?On the Smart Charge app, on the "savings" tab, the cost for the charge doesn't add up. For example on 3/10, I used 4.3 kWh, the cost should be £0.43 based on 10p per kwh. But the cost is showing £0.71.

Is it possible for OVO to cross reference there marketing emails.I receive mails highlighting the benefits of a smart meter all the time.I would like a smart meter but do not live in an area that can support them (no signal apparently) But OVO also tell me that I can't have a smart meter, So one system is sending out spam emails that don't need to be sent which another system knows are useless to me.… Anyway do you think it's possible they could make good use of the data?

I’m trying to arrange the SEG with OVO, but am caught in the middle between them and my solar panel installer.OVO requested confirmation of DNO approval. I sent them the DNO approval my installer had supplied. OVO says this is missing information, as there is no stamp on it saying approved. I went back to my installer who said the form is correct, it shows the agreed export amount (4.6KW) and DNO don’t stamp the forms any more.I sent that response to OVO who replied again saying the information is missing, and there needs to be a letter or email from DNO (UK Power Networks) saying the application is approved. Sent that response to my installer, who replied again, attaching the same DNO G99 application form, highlighting the agreed export amount, and saying that is the DNO approval.Which one is right?Thanks - Victoria M.

HelloWe’re buy our first EV, Volvo XC40 registered 9/2023. Have seen the Hypervolt Pro 3 or Ohme Home Pro. Like both but have questions about both: The Ohme is only 3/4G.. my only issue with this is that our house connectivity isn’t always as efficient as it should be and we have ‘black spots’ in the house where we can get intermittent connect. Can I assume this wouldn’t be the charger for me? The Hypervolt pro seems more suitable however my worry is the charger is on a trial. Received my solar tariff cheque as usual but upon paying it in via mobile app it shoes up as a duplicate cheque. I paid it in straight after opening the envelope. Please advise 

I can't log into my ovo account as it us saying ip address barred 

First a bit of background:My original smart meters' communication effectively died last year, so OVO replaced them with new ones. Since then OVO have been getting my readings reliably now for about a year. However, third party apps like Ivie and Loop effectively lost connection to my data for months. Ivie finally came back a couple of months ago but has disappeared again, MIA for the last month. Loop has never regained connection to my meters' data.I've seen somewhere on here (?) that the connection to OVO doesn't rely only on the DCC connection. But if these things aren't talking to the DCC reliably I'm going to be kind of stuck if I ever wanted to move away - especially with the news about OVO's refinancing and possible full sale. Does anyone know the best number to call / department to speak to to get this looked into and maybe even have them replaced again if they're failing yet again? Hello, we live in a big house that has been converted into 3 flats. We are electric only and just started to move in. I have noticed that there is a daily usage of exactly 1.9kwh. It is spread equally throughout the entire day and I have no idea what is causing this. I have tried to turn the main switch off in the fuse box but it makes no difference. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you.

Hi All,I recently had a 3 phase SMETS2 meter installed - a Kaifa MA329B.I have solar PV panels on the roof and previously found it useful and easy to look at my ancient meter with a wheel to determine how the PV was doing. i.e. The wheel would obviously be stationary when I wasn’t importing any electricity.With the new meter it seems not so easy to determine whether I’m importing or exporting at any given moment. I’ve noticed on the right of the LCD screen a “J” symbol with an arrow next to it. The arrow points in one of 8 directions, but I think when I’m steadily importing electricity, the arrow is pointing Right → and when exporting it points Left ← .Am I correct in the above ? Any idea what the other 6 arrow positions mean ?Thanks, Robbie.

Maybe looking towards an EV, but my smart meter is housed in a cellar behind a 2 foot stone wall, and hence no readings to ovo in the last 3 years.They have been out to replace the meters in the vain hope that this might fix the issue, but the signal can’t get through the thick walls.So as the meter can’t be read remotely, does this mean that most of the EV tariffs are not available due to this lack of communication ?
