Hello Today out of the blue I had someone from Marston holdings engage services turn up for a safety inspection of my metering equipment. I was not expecting anyone and just thought it was someone trying to sell something, as they left they put a letter through the door. The letter states that I am now a customer of boost energy, i am with OVO energy and that I apparently received a welcome letter which was previously sent - i have received no letters and no notice of any appointment to carry out safety inspection of my metering equipment - I am a pre payment customer. I do not want a smart meter and am happy as I am . What do engage services of Marston holdings do? On the account number on my letter in ends with the word reco? I am confused.

Has this happened to anyone else?I left my property end of March 2023, OVO took a meter reading in February 2023. I received my final bill in April and was in credit and received a refund. 8 months later (November 2023) I received another final bill. I now owe over £1000 and I have been charged over £60 in arrears.Unfortunately the person in customer care couldn't help me as "they had to raise a case" I am now left worrying myself sick as I have no money to pay this bill.

Hi,New customer here, trying to sign up for Charge Anytime but the app launches to a black screen and does nothing. I’ve tried the usual uninstall, restart, try different device etc but all with no result.  Emailed the Charge Anytime mailbox last week but no answer as of yet.  Anyone else had this issue and suggestions to fix? Cheers

HiI have an Ecodan QUHZ-W40VA with a thermal store. After much technical assistance from Mitsuibishi, some installation tweaks and fine tuning by me, the system o/a is performing well. The COP is acceptable, the running costs are low and generally I’d say setup suits the house.Like other heat pumps, mine prioritises DHW. It’s programmed to heat the water once each day. The problem is that I have an experienced a delay before the the heat pump fires up after DHW cycles?The DHW (in my case the water in the store) is usually heated to around 50C. but the HP won’t re-start until the residual heat in the system (according to the thermistors) has dropped to match the heat flow temperature. For example if the flow heat temperature is say 30C or less, the cooling can take a very long time. It’s less a problem when it’s very cold, and more so in the shoulder seasons. Has any one else experienced this? Mitsi say it’s just not a problem and all is working as it should be.

Is Ovo boiler cover any good?

Hello everyone,  I hope you’re all having a nice day, Having recently been moved over automatically from SSE PAYG to Ovo Energy PAYG I received my welcome letter dated 2 August 2023, it stated my move was complete so I thought I’d give them a call to confirm a few details, like making sure I’m still registered with priority service, that I can I top up my electric key at paypoint without any issues etc, generally get some more information I needed in regards to my specific concerns. Yesterday in my 1st call using 0330 303 5063 I got from google search, I got told that my “account is still pending”, 5 days after welcome letter saying everything complete & ready, today I tried webchat for an update & to get more information, they told me they couldn’t access my account & to phone 0330 175 9669 as web chat is not available/set up at the moment for prepayment meter customers like myself (not very good is it?), so I called them on that number, 18 minutes on hold then the calls r

I have not received an end of month email to let me know if I made it this month. I had one halfway through saying how well I was doing at just over 10% nothing showing on my bill ???

Does anyone know if the Hypervolt Home Pro 3 will work directly with Charge Anytime, anytime soon?  It says on this page ‘early 2024’ https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/smart-charger#choose, but we are into April now...The phone signal is very poor at my house,  so although my car is compatible with Charge Anytime, it often does not work as my car can’t connect to 3G or 4G.  The solution (I think) is a Indra or Hypervolt charger that can connect via wifi or ethernet.I am on my second quote for an Indra charger, but each one has thrown up a a different obstacle.  Coincidentally I have an electrician working at my house already on an extension.  He can buy the Hypervolt charger and install it himself.  But the Home Pro 3 doesn’t look to work directly with Charge Anytime, which is the whole point!

On the last 2 power move plus I have been advised that I've not sent the relevant meter readings & that i should get a smart meter.This is odd as I have a smart meter which has never had any issues & is showing precise usage. Is anyone else having the same problem?Its disappointing as I have the efforts to try to reduce my consumption & initially I recieved a couple of payments.Sincerely    

I took OVO to the ombudsman because they didn’t pay my FIT after moving my account from SSE in August 2023.  The ombudsman found in my favour and said OVO should pay by January 10th. They haven’t paid and they have closed the ombudsman case as completed. The OVO complaints department won’t talk to me as they claim the case is finished. The ombudsman has contacted OVO nine times over incomplete remedies and OVO has not replied.It is now the end of May 2024, I should have received three FIT payments but have had none. I contacted my MP a few weeks ago, but I guess he will be busy with the election. I am in despair over this. If any of you have any suggestions, or are in a similar situation I would be really glad to hear from you. 

Like many other customers I am unable to see my usage in pounds as I could some time ago. This is very inconvenient as a pensioner I keep a close eye on my usage. I have contacted customer service via phone, chat etc to no avail, all they say is that it’s been passed to the technical team who will ring me!! They haven’t and it’s been a long time now. Any suggestions?

I currently have dhw set to heat max 50c and a max temp drop of 10c with a run time of 90 minutes and restricted mode of 30 minutes. Seems to work fine.Wondering about scheduled times though.If I set it to heat early in the morning and again Mid to late afternoon so as to take advantage of any solar power, would that be more economical? I like to know what takes precedence, say for instance the water temp dropped to about 44c just before the second scheduled time, would the water be heated again at that scheduled point or just skip it until the next scheduled time the next morning?Mitsubishi Ecodan with Solar PV

Where can I access the OVO FiT reading submission form as the links in the e-mail I have been sent do not work?

Hi guys,Im pretty new to the EV world, a week to be precise! I used a charger outside my house via OVO bonnet that required a £30 holding deposit, i have used the charger on the 24th, 25th and 29th of may and have yet to see any of my deposits returned. Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction please.

I am due to move into a new house in two days time. I have had money taken out of my bank account from Boost but i don’t have an account with them. I will be contacting my bank once the payment comes out of pending, to say this is unauthorised. I believe it may have been set up by the housing agent without my authority. Can they do this? Can Boost set up an account without my consent and without sending me any paperwork or account information? Unfortunately due to it being Saturday i can’t contact the housing agent or Boost as it’s now after 5pm.

what sort of time table should i be using to save money

Has anyone else had trouble with charge anytime limiting charging to the car. A couple of times recently I've set my car to charge overnight, with plenty of time to get to 100%, but when I check at 7am it's not fully charged. When I look in my charger log it's only been charging at 3.5kwh and not the full 7kwh, hence it's not fully charged. Is there a fix for this? I have an Audi Q4. 

On OVO app there is no longer the ability to see your useage in £’s in daily useage only kWh. Find this very disappointing, anyone else annoyed by this 

Hello, I bought a house in November but haven’t fully moved in until recently. I need to put the gas & electric meters in my name because although I can top up the electricity meter with the precious owner’s card, it will not let me do this with the gas meter. I gas meter is now in debit so will need to pay that. It is extremely difficult to get through to anyone on the phone and there seems to be no options to deal with this online. I am fed up of being without gas. I need advice please on the quickest and easiest way to go about this, and how long should the switch over take? Thanks. 

Hi, I’ve been reading the thread about solar panels and THTC. This may be asking for a repeat of some of what’s been said but I’m totally new to this, so sorry…I’ve been offered solar panels and storage battery via some government funding that’s available at the moment, so free to me incl installation. I have two meters. (One is THTC that was.) From what I’ve been reading it sounds like if I go ahead with installation there is no point, indeed possible danger, of connecting the panels to the THTC meter.But could they be connected to the meter to impact on the rest of the electricity (lighting, cooker etc) ? And could/would excess electricity once battery full, eg summer, go back into the grid (while it would be nice to receive money for it, I’m not so concerned about that) via that meter ? I know this not the best option as the other meter is obviously measuring much greater electric usage, but is this a way at the moment to at least allow solar panels to have some impact on my overall

I applied online OVO website to transfer BOTH my electricity and gas from my previous supplier to OVO.After transfer/switch date I assumed everything to be fine. However logging into OVO website to check my account was still in “pending setup” stage.After 2-3 weeks I wanted to confirm my switch was successful. However my previous supplier says they are still supplying my GAS.After speaking with OVO online chat they finally activated my online account (because I was in credit with the direct debit on the first day of switch).Now I see that I am being charged by OVO GAS standing charge. I am also being charged GAS by my previous supplier.Is this right? How can OVO charge me GAS if they are not supplying me GAS? Also, at no point was I informed of any problems by both suppliers.

Great news that the Anytime tariff has reduced today from 10p to 7p.  However the Ohme Pro App won’t let me change this. When I select “My Energy” in the Ohme Pro app and select “Change” to alter the unit rate (which I had set at 10p when I first got the app), it says “to switch your smart tariff you’ll need to go to your supplier’s app or contact your supplier directly.  Once that’s sorted, come back here to add your new tariff”.  My tariff has obviously changed automatically by OVO, so not sure what else they can do, unless they need to advise Ohme themselves?

Logged on to MyOvo on laptop this morning to find the following...Home page - under "Your meter readings" shows "We couldn't get a reading from your smart meter. Mind sending one manually?" Last reading was 21st May i.e. the reading used for the final reading of my latest billClick on Meter readings from left hand menu on home page and get "Your electricity smart meter is sending us readings automatically, so you don't need to do anything."So I have a mismatch on the information being shown by the website Latest bill was 21st April - 20th May 2024 so readings lost after bill production - odd???The usage for May shows estimates for 21-24 May inclusive Meter shows green for SW, WAN & HAN so pretty sure my meter is reachable and functioning, internal display working fine.Not had any issues with readings being sent since a similar issue was fixed after about 6-8 weeks delay back in December 2023 This was only after Emmanuelle_OVO got involved https://forum.ovoenergy.com/smart-meters-13
