Hi everyone,

I'm currently using Home Assistant for my smart home setup and I'm wondering if anyone here in Australia has developed or knows of a plugin for integrating OVO Energy with Home Assistant.

I am aware of the official integration but it only seems to work in the UK.

I would love to be able to monitor my energy usage and manage my account directly from Home Assistant. If anyone has any information or can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have also made a post to the Home Assistant forum here.

Thanks in advance!

You should be aware that this forum is UK based, not Australia.
From what I’ve found on my HA integration, there is no OVO plug in. My system pulls from third party services

Thanks for the reply, as far as i’m concerned there is no Australia specific forum page only this one. Can I ask how you get the data to your HA instance?

There is no Australia page as this forum is run by, designed for and populated from the UK and therefore you will get answers based on the UK system, tariffs etc.

HA is of course designed for a wider audience and although I don’t know all the technicalities of your system, there are similarities.
I use an additional CAD (customer access device) similar to an IHD (in home display) which links to my meter HAN and provides an MQTT feed which I can see via HA. Others I know use additional sensors, often connecting via ESPHome to provide the measurements.
I doubt the Glow CAD I gave the link to will work in Oz but you might find something similar.
Hope you get something sorted although, I would expect the HA community to be better placed to answer.
