We have a single phase 200 amp supply, which supplies several, all electric, holiday let cottages in Snowdonia.Our current supplier (and previous supplier too) wouldn’t listen to me and when they came to install our smart meter, sent out a normal engineer with a simple 100A meter.The first supplier said they couldn’t help us so we moved to Octopus, who after their failed installation have now given us the run around for the past 5 months. They tell me that they can install a 200A smart CT meter, that will give us access to the agile tariffs that we’re after, but that an external company has to do this (SMS) and that they have no free appointments in our area for the foreseeable future!If we moved to OVO would they be able to install us a 200A CT smart meter? I have read other informative threads on this forum, but they refer to polyphase or 3 phase supplies.Thanks in advance

Can you explain why you taken £88 from my account after you confirmed I am switching away last Friday?????My balance with you is over 200£ and I need my money back!!!!  Do you think this is fair?????

Does anyone have an email for the power move team?  I'm going around in circles!  One team even wanted to log a complaint which I had not asked them to do! All I want is the monthly update emails as I'm not getting them and they are not in junk folder! Thanks Alison

The Radio teleswitch (RTS) shutdown FAQ seems to say that the RTS meters may stop working at the end of 2023 (which is now less than 3 months away).  Is this correct or has the date been extended?  We have an RTS meter and are on the Superdeal tariff but have had no communication from OVO about this or what is happening.  Should I be worried?

I currently have a non smart, digital electric meter with day and night readings, albeit with a single rate. I’m about to request a smart meter and have been advised that if I want to only have to deal with a single reading I need to get my profile class changed from “02” to “01”. How do I go about getting this done and what order do I follow, eg, get the smart meter installed first then request the profile change or request the profile change first (or at the same time as getting the smart meter installed)?

Hi,I use “Urgent Charge” to opportunistically charge my car during the day from solar when our home batteries are full and the sun is likely to stay out. I can do this from any location as I leave my car plugged all the time.Once initiated, I can’t find how to cancel urgent charge from the app so that the normal schedule kicks back in. I believe you need to physically go to the car, unplug, possibly even drive to a new location etc before the app spots you are finished.Am I missing something?It would be really useful to be able to simply cancel urgent charge from the app so I can do this all remotely. Thanks,Frank.

I got moved to Ovo via their purchase of Southern Electric. I used to pay Southern Electric quarterly via credit card (after bill received)I’ve just discovered seems every month I've not paid (in a qtr) Ovo have reported me to credit reference agencies as missed payments. (what a wonderful experience they give)I’ve now paid and setup a Direct Debit (did try to do this end last year, still can’t get access via Ovo App as Ovo still not sorted account transfers from Southern, and couldn’t setup online as Ovo have diff default address of a different account defualting against Direct Debit bank a/c which made setup fail) How do I get Ovo to remove those missed payment reports from the credit agencies urgently? Its going to cost me thousands in borrowing costs.

Hello,The property I bought last year had a THTC meter and storage heaters, so the first thing I did was rip out the storage heaters and pull out the whole heating ring main as part of a full rewrite that was needed. So nothing connected to the THTC meter.I contacted SSE multiple times to try to get an appointment to remove the THTC meter but they kept saying there were no engineers in my area (North of Scotland) to do the work. Tried time and time again, and even got a work order number, but still no engineer. Eventually my electrician just pulled the meter off, taking pictures of course! Still got the meter with all the tags intact, etc.The meter reader was round recently and noted that the meter was gone and took pictures, noted it down in his records, etc. but still got bill with THTC meter estimate.Called Ovo to try and get the meter removed from my account but best they said they could do was to put me on to a single rate tariff.This has been going on for 18 months now. Hi, I’m having terrible trouble with OVO. Only went with them as the previous householder used them.Firstly they didn’t set up an account when I phoned when first moving in - wondered why my direct debit hadn’t gone through weeks later. No record of my phone call, giving bank details, agreeing tariffs etc. Secondly they organised a new Smart meter last week and cancelled the day before as they can’t do it as I have economy 10. Nice guy phoned to explain that the customer care team don’t know what they are doing when it comes to accounts with two meters. That’s very true. Thirdly, I phoned today to ask for the ‘third party’ to come and fit a single meter (as the guy last week explained I should ask for) and after 20 mins the customer adviser didn’t have any idea what I was talking about. She said I had to phone DNO?, wouldn’t explain who DNO are and then cut me off. Please help! OVO is driving me bonkers :) 

We have just bought a new home in the Highlands and it has THTC supplied by OVO ( previously SSE I believe). For some reason that I don't  fully understand it has 3 meters. One standard and two for the THTC.When I contacted OVO to set up my account they were adamant that there was only the standard meter and could only offer me a standard tariff with one rate. So no benefit for the storage heating etc wired up to the THTC.When I signed in to my account it is showing 2 meters the standard and one of the THTC one but all still on the same tariff.I checked with the previous owner and he supplied OVO with 3 meter readings when he left. He also said that OVO were due to change the meters but had failed to make an appointment.My questions are1. How do I get OVO to acknowledge there is a third meter here?2. Shouldn't OVO be offering a tariff for the HTHC set up.3. Can I switch to another supplier with the current set up to get a suitable tariff?4 How do I progress the meter changes and will t

Can someone help with getting pre sale tickets. I can sign in to ovo live and it takes me to ticket master but there’s no option to purchase tickets. I’ve tried signing in again but same thing keeps happening 

If the point of ‘PowerMove’ is to shuffle power usage away from the peak 4-7pm weekday times surely it makes no sense not to count weekend usage when calculating target averages. If over the course of a whole month I’ve shuffled a significant amount of laundry, batch cooking and other power intensive chores away from weekdays and into the weekend - but Saturdays and Sundays are ignored when calculations are made - then my actual monthly off-peak average isn’t being accurately recorded for the purposes of meeting the target. In order to reach the target I need to shuffle usage in a 24 hour window, 5 days per week - rather than across the week as a whole - and concentrate usage to off-peak hours during the week … if this is about changing habits, surely whole week, or even whole month usage needs to be included when calculating averages … or am I missing something ?

We’ve had our charger for nearly 5 months and went onto ovo charge anytime end of April. Since having the charger we’ve had numerous times that it fails to charge the car( before and since having charge anytime). Numerous phone calls to Indra who kept telling us it was too high voltage going into the property. Had SP Energy out, who did a 2 week long voltage reading, one week with solar panels off the next week with them on, and yes the voltage was over the allowed 253 for more than 5% of the time. They reduced the voltage going into the house.still having a lot of problems where the charger just won’t kick in at all. Often plug inin the evening, when i get in from work, expecting to charge the car up somtime before 8am the following morning, only to find it hasn’t charged up. I have had to get up on numerous occasions in the middle of the night to get the charger to start, by turning the boost button on and then off and this usually kick starts the charger running (not on boost). I have a THTC meter and a DOM meter, two meters. One is for hot water and the other for electricity.Which meter is for the water? Is it the one labelled THTC or the one labelled DOM? Also, if the DOM is the water and the THTC is the electric, when I switch off the water heater, why doesn’t the DOM stop running? THe DOM meter continues to run and is the Anytime meter reading I have to give .The THTC is the heating meter according to my OVO account.

I have 3 x flats that have just the one meter supplied by Ovo.I want to split into 3 x meters by Ovo. I want to avoid using power networks and getting in a 3 phase supply as they are suggestingcan this be done?the supply is already going to all 3 so its about metering although i don’t want private meters, I would like 2 separate accounts for the tenants to pay themselves.

Got up this morning and car wasn’t charged. Nothing was added. I’ve lost a days pay as a result. MG4 has been charging 5 nights a week faultlessly since July 2023. I use the OHME app to schedule charges as the MG is incompatible with Charge Anytime. The last charge session showing on the OHME app is 04/12/23? It has worked since then including overnight Sunday into Monday. I did update the OHME app last week as an update was available and thought it might fix not showing the charge sessions. any help greatfully appreciated as worried I can’t work tomorrow.

HiI am very conscious of the electricity I use, long before Power Move. I use my washing machine in the morning so I can hang out the clothes early and get them dry. I’ve never had a tumble drier. I use my dish washer at night as the eco wash takes nearly three hours. I usually start making dinner after 7pm and only use the TV or radio between 4.00 and 7.00. I never leave the TV on standby but switch it off at the plug. Recently, with the better weather, I’ve been outside more at this time so not using any electricity other than fridge. Despite all this, I have never been successful in a Power Move period.So, I ask, is this worth it?? 

Hey everyone, I need some help and advice.  My Solis Inverter still draws minimal energy from the grid even though my solar panels are generating enough energy for use and storage.  The problem is that this minimal amounts are costing me almost £1 a day, around £30 a month. Is there anyone of fixing this issue? Solis says there is nothing that can be done at the moment but have raised a ticket that has not been allocated to anyone.  Would this be the same issue with all inverters? 

My app keeps disconnecting - I get the dreaded red dot top LH corner of the phone screen, and I have to disconnect my Renault Zoe and reconnect it which is a pain. 

I get that the idea is to lower usage overall, which is fine.But I already struggle to pay my bills, and so I’ve already cut down anything and everything I can:I use the washing machine once every two weeks, after 11pm I shower once a week, as fast as possible, after 11pm I’ve turned off the boiler completely I use the oven once every 2 weeks I have a single small light I use when it gets dark I have a single small electric heater, which I use as little as possible I keep myself warm at night with a warm water bottle and extra sheets, which is much better than heating or even a heated blanket I don’t have a tumble dryer Everything is turned off at the socket at all times, except for the fridge, the smart meter, and the doorbellTo make it worse, I work from home, so I’m home a lot. But also, where I live, shops close at 3pm, so if I do go out, it’s before that time - almost ascertaining I’ll be home between 4 & 7. Not always, but usually.I’d love a £15 discount.
