Is anyone else having issues with anytime credit noted in the app not being credited in full to their bill. This happened to me in May, Jun and now agin July. Ohme integration was claimed to be the problem for May and Jun but told it was fixed but same again for Jul with circa £25 missing in credit. It took 6 or so calls and 3 complaints raised with a different agent each time before the May issue was resolved.

Morning @PJC15 and welcome to the Forum. I’ve added the EV badge to your Forum profile so that other members can recognise you.

I’m sorry to hear of what’s happened here. Your best bet is to contact the Charge Anytime team at chargeanytime@ovo.com and ask them if they can see what’s causing the issue, and what they can do to resolve things. We’ve had some similar topics like this:

However, it sounds like your issue may be slightly different. On the Forum we don’t have visibility of Charge Anytime accounts, so it’s best for you to get in contact with the team directly. Let us know how you get on!

Download the OVO Charge app from the App Store or Google Play.

Contacted them and the Complaints Team several times last month and assured would not happen again but it has so contacted them yet again. Losing faith with OVO sadly.

Thanks for letting us know @PJC15 - I imagine the complaint will have to be reopened. I really hope they can get this resolved quickly for you.

If you don’t mind, we’d appreciate if you could update us on how this pans out, and what the root cause of the issue is here. Fingers crossed this is all sorted soon.

Morning @martynprice99 and a warm welcome to the OVO Forum. I’ve added the EV badge to your Forum account.

I’m really sorry to hear you’ve had the same issue. When you say you’ve made calls about it, was this to the Charge Anytime team?

How to get in contact with the Charge Anytime team

  • Call 0330 175 9678 (Option 1 new customers/option 2 existing customers)

  • Email via chargeanytime@ovo.com

  • Webchat, click the link then the green chat icon at the bottom right of the page

If you’ve been in contact with Charge Anytime, please could you let us know what they’ve said to you by way of trying to get this resolved? I’m wondering whether @PJC15 ever had a resolution put in place?

Yes and surprise, surprise it’s happened again now the fourth month in a row ie since the Ohme / OVO spat and software changes. Get a grip OVO - SORT IT OUT. IF FINGERS CROSSED IS THE OVO SOLUTION TO PROBLEMS I CAN ASSURE YOU IT DOES WORK

Charge Anytime did credit my account each month with the missing credit eventually after significant time spent writing emails, sending screenshots (sometimes the same ones to 2 or 3 ) different departments and lengthy time on the phone.  Extremely poor customer service and it has happened again for the 4th month in a row hence the ‘shouting’ post made earlier today!

Sent this got email back saying should have a reply in 3 to 4 days this was on the 12 August no reply

sent another email on 26 August same again.

sent another email yesterday and copied in the complaint department.

lets see what happens next, they have now increased my monthly direct debit due to my credits not being correct, don’t see why I have to pay more for OVO cock ups.

Me too. I only noticed it when I checked June and July invoices. I have Ohme charger, I contacted OVO twice and got a phone call in which they apologised and said credit would appear on next bill. Ive now got August bill and the owed credit is there but the charge anytime credit for August is only showing £8 when it should be £20 or so.

All charges have been Smart Charges controlled by the Charge Anytime App.

If OVO gave an issue with their system they should come clean and explain,

For a company the size of OVO and their EV charge anytime base it’s astounding that the hadn’t stress tested the accuracy of the supposed new software and anytime app before their fall out with Ohme. To have opted to move away from a system that worked so well with Ohme (No errors in the preceding 12 months with correct credit applied on time in the actual billing period ie Aug credit was paid to the Aug bill) to one that is obviously not fit for purpose is staggering particularly when the have the cheek to post cr&*p like this:

‘We’ve recently updated the technology behind Charge Anytime. This is so we can keep making improvements and create new products that reward customers for driving EVs’ - NOT TRUE.  Perhaps Ben the moderator on this forum would care to get someone senior in OVO to come on this forum and explain why these issues truly exist rather than the line their coal face staff have to spout when they also know that the ‘updated technology’ is not an ‘improvement’. Sadly I won’t hold my breath.

I am lucky that my car is compatible with the ‘new technology’ and just have issues with receiving credit. I feel sorry for all those EV customers OVO recommended an Ohme installation too and have fixed energy contracts whose vehicles are no longer compatible with their ‘improvements’ They just left them in the lurch in a fixed contract with no means of utilising the excellent tariff they had signed up to OVO for. The internet and forums like this have comments from thousands and thousands of furious customers. SHAME ON YOU OVO, AND SHAME AGAIN.

I am just a Forum Volunteer - I don’t work for OVO myself.

OVO stopped “recommending” Ohme products several months prior to the situation where Ohme threw OVO under a bus, not least by yanking ALL Ohme products and services off of the OVO storefront around February/March 2025 which was around the time they became aware of potential issues.

As for the OVO Forum, Forum Volunteers such as myself and the wider Community have barely recommended Ohme for some time now - I switched to recommending other options like Hypervolt over a year ago and others followed suit over the months that followed. In fact, I tend to recommend Hypervolt a lot these days because my analysis indicates their stuff is really good and perhaps more importantly, their team is always happy and willing to help the Forum Volunteers out if we ever get stumped by a question that’s posted here.

Anytime we need to, we can simply reach out to Hypervolt ourselves and within ~15 minutes we’ve almost always either got the answer or Hypervolt has armed themselves with a heads up that the user who asked the question here is about to get in touch and their team is already prepared to pick up where we left off on the Forum thread. It proves quite a useful collaboration for that reason alone and it benefits everyone as a result. We get useful content for the Forum that genuinely helps folks out, and in return Hypervolt gets to enjoy a reduced load on their support staff which speeds up their response times. It’s basically a win-win situation.

The other players like Indra, Andersen, Zappi etc are generally pretty good overall too, albeit they don’t always quite get it right but it’s usually not far off. Ohme on the other hand, was always very hostile towards us and we found it difficult to get them to play nice, let alone collaborate with us (as in, the Forum Volunteers). Given the troubles we often had, I can only imagine what may have been happening behind the scenes. But those are questions for which, the answer may never be known.

Ultimately, I leave you with the same advice I’ve said many, many times before. It is your responsibility to do your research and due diligence to ensure the products/services you are intending to acquire are not only suitable for your needs now, but will continue to serve your needs in the long-term and that’s where a lot of folks trip up. Ohme was never the only Supported Charger with Charge Anytime - that honour goes to Indra as the first and original partner where they were the only option for about a year - and there were always other options you could have picked.

You can’t blame OVO for this as they didn’t force your choice of Charger - you had several to pick from and it was likely ultimately your choice that you went for Ohme.

Blastoise186. I think you have completely missed the point of my post.  It was not about the merits or otherwise of the Ohme charger nor whether it was , or was not the go to charger although my information is slightly different to yours either regard to recommendations. The point of the post is about OVO’s poor (albeit they say improved’ software) and the way, and the timing of their decision to drop Ohme and while possibly a coincidence, credit issues have occurred each month for many customers that post the dropping of Ohme indicating that their improved system is not improved at all, in fact it’s degraded and I believe is not fit for purpose; for 4 months in a row my energy account has not been credited the amount noted in the charge anytime app. Each time it has happened and subsequently correct after painful comms with them, and the anytime team’s assertion that the ‘bug’ has at last been fixed, it happens the next month, and the next. To my mind that is a system that was not stressed tested sufficiently before release and they are still bug fixing on a live system.

@martynprice99 and @PJC15 good morning to you both.

This is all frustrating to read and I know how I’d be feeling were I in your position. I’ve reached out internally to the Charge Anytime team to see if I can get some advice for you both, and I’ll be back in touch as soon as I hear from them. I understand you’re both in contact with them too. Hopefully I’ll have an update for you shortly.
