Hi,

We’ve been using the Ovo / Charge Anytime App for the last 6 months and in general it has worked well for the supported car & delivered savings (but less well for our Kia which is in Beta).

However there was an App Update this week, and the “Urgent Charge” button has disappeared from the Dashboard page that we used to use when needing an urgent charge during the day.

Has anyone else had the same issue, and if so what is the new way to get an urgent charge (other than setting the car to privacy mode..)

Also, in the last week we have had issues where the car is not charging to the required level overnight (eg 80% or 100%) even if plugged in for 12 hours…as example last night it only charged from 25% to 54% having been plugged in for 12 hours - has anyone else had the same issues and if so figured out a workaround?

Thanks

Hey again @JonBEV,

The team mentioned that if your vehicle was in a charging cycle, you should unplug it and wait for about 15 minutes before plugging it back in. This should start a new charging session, and hopefully, the button will show up! If you could give that a try and let me know how it goes, I’d be happy to follow up if needed. Or, if you prefer, you can reach out to them directly using the contact options in the link below. Thanks!

Download the OVO Charge app from the App Store or Google Play.

Hey @JonBEV,

Can I ask which app you’re using - the Charge Anytime app or the Charger app? I've heard from some other members that Hypervolt has removed the urgent charge button because it was causing a few issues. If you’re using the Charge Anytime app, I’d be happy to reach out to the team to see if they know about this and if they’re working on it. Let me know!

I have a similar problem - I have an Andersen Quartz charger & a Tesla

I’m about to go on a trip so wanted to charge to 100% - I’d scheduled a full charge, but that didn’t seem to be kicking in, so I pressed urgent charge. It started charging immediately, then stopped when it got to 85% (I’d set it at 100% in the car), but now the urgent button has disappeared and I can’t seem to find anyway to get the car charged to 100%

The Tesla App says that ‘charging equipment is not ready’ which I think is to be expected. The Andersen App says use OVO Charge Anytime to manage it, but OVO’s app won’t let me charge the car

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi @maxdraki

Unplug for 15 minutes! That’ll reset the system.

I maybe didn’t wait 15 mins exactly - maybe 13 mins - but still no urgent button.. But it seems pretty ridiculous you can’t just hit a button that says ‘charge now’..

I don’t think I’m overcomplicating things but I think I just need 3 things:

  • Charge on a schedule - e.g. 80% every morning at 7am
  • Schedule a one-off charge - e.g. 100% tomorrow at 2pm
  • Charge when I want, to the level I want

This is also strange - andersen is showing 2 schedules, but Ovo just one..

Hey @maxdraki

I’m sorry to see you’re having some trouble, did you manage to get this sorted over the weekend?

If you’re still having problems or mismatching schedules, I’d recommend getting in touch with the Charge Anytime team for some direct support on this. All contact methods for the team can be found on the following topic:
