Good Afternoon all.Does anyone know if OVO have specific plans for those on Low Income / Universal Credit?My mother passed recently, I am not able to work at the moment, and I am currently in a 3-bedroom house (Downsizing in future) meaning full Housing Benefit is not paid due to the two extra rooms. This will be the case until I can find more suitable accommodation  in my local area, and it leaves me with very little each month on which to live. I’m not seeking to pay by Direct Debit, but I do pay online each month when the bill arrives. I was just wondering if OVO have a cheaper monthly tariff for those with low income.

Hiya, I very gratefully received the electric blanket as I have MS, however I've only used it twice and for no longer than 2 hours each time, and it wont turn on at all anymore. Can I contact ovo about this? Thank you.

I’m looking for recommendations for a Gas Safe engineer in the Nottingham area who specialises in commercial installations.We currently have a domestic G4 gas connection (max ~65kW), but we need to upgrade to a U16 meter to support a 112kW load. We are finding the process with Cadent quite slow and are looking for a regulated professional who can: Advise on/handle the pipeline upgrade for commercial use. Ensure everything is fully compliant for future supplier inspections. I was referred to Charis and told I would receive the small measure pack within 10 days - on 27 November 2025 - this was put through Lightning Reach and the status has been sitting like this since then.  There are no contact details for Charis on the site and when I enquired with Lightning Reach a few weeks ago I was told it was in hand and I would hear from them soon.  On checking the site today the status is the same.  Anyone else waiting? Anyone know what's happening? At the same time I was referred to Exertis for Energy efficiency measures and I received a SMART plug a few days later… not sure how that is supposed to help me stay warm but hopefully if the heated blanket ever appears I will be able to switch it off and on using the SMART plug?

Hi there!  I have received my warm home discount £150 voucher.It's telling me to take my voucher to my local post office as its come on the letter from Ovo.  I want to know,  do I take my pre payment key/card  to the post office also??? Any information would be much appreciated!! 

Had anyone heard about when OVO is going to issue the £150 Warm Home Discount for customers on certain benefits such as Universal Credit ? A friend of mine said she received a letter/message from her supplier stating that she is to receive it on her next bill. I need help to pay my bill I cannot sleep????Is there a charity I would be so grateful  Hi I have have several issues with OVOsince they took over sfe? Anyway we have an arrangement I pay monthly and amount that is affordable to me they agreed  each month I have never missed c , I have several health issues and have more bad days than good ,They send the man to read the meter as they say it's estimated every time my caretaker says I show them where the meters live  they don't come down the stairs and walk past ,I have reported this to OVO nothing every time I speak with them each one tells me something different , they don't bother reading above on the system and say I haven't paid this month than they say for miss a payment you get charged I have not missed one month for years ,I'm told by step change they should be chasing those who don't pay anything  not you least they get paid something rather than nothing. The b

I have just tried to get a free electric throw /blanket. However, OVO have stopped issuing them now (10th January 2025), as they have had a lot of demand, and ran out of stock. 

Hi, is anyone else having problems with the contact centre? Each time I call, it can take from 30 minutes to an hour with an issue not being resolved and most of the time stuck back on hold. I have called 8 times in the past 3 weeks, assured of calls back which hardly ever happens. The whole issue is a had £700 credit on my gas and £200 debit in my electricity, to me an easy fix, transfer £200 over and refund my my balance. This call took over an hour to do, to be told my gas smart meter hasn't worked for over 2 years, so cannot refund until they get a meter reading. I've explained on every call, the digital display does not work, so I cannot get a reading, so need an engineer to come out and fix the meter so I can get a refund. Again an easy fix, but somehow this seems an impossible task to get an engineer out, even after 3 weeks. Can anyone please help?

Good morning I have recieved the letter from the government to say im entitled to the warm home discount,  but it was sent to my previous address, I have rung them to say it's the wrong address but they said they can't change it, will I need to ring ovo to get this sorted out, or will i not get it , what do I need to do  Shelley 

Anyone else being forced to change their direct debit due to 'impending debt'?Apparently OVO don't think my current direct debit level will cover the final amount owing for the year, so they've already sent me two letters from their Collections Department, talking about 'how much debt' they think I will have if I don't rectify my payment. Bear in mind I haven't missed a payment and have been pretty good at giving monthly readings, so I'm not in 'debt', as they so succinctly put it, they just think I will be, despite the 'shortfall' being quite manageable.OK, so I acquiesce to this veiled threat from Collections and attempt to increase my direct debit payment. Hi is the support package closed for this year? I tried to fill out the online application but it only takes me so far. When I get to part 4 it asks me to choose which options might help but there are no options displayed.

 Thank you for taking the time to read our issue i do understand its very long with a lot of information but hoping someone can help resolve.**Please note that my Mum is the account holder who is 74 and is becoming very ill and very stressed and worried about this and we have provided both written and verbal communication to OVO advising i can speak on her behalf , this has been ignored on every occasion we contact OVO***We did start a thread on this back in December last year but thought it best to start a new one as i have more knowledge / information regarding the issue as its still not been resolved.Back in Aug /Sept 2022 we had a  power cut in our area for around half a day , once the power came back on i went outside to check our traditional style meter to provide the readings for OVO and the LCD  display was blank and although our power was still working with no issues we were unable to provide a meter reading (our last submitted manual reading was in Jun

I have previously spoken to some of you regarding an Air Source Heat Pump System.  I had such a lot of help and you were all wonderful putting my mind at rest. Well now my disabled partner has just come out of an unexpected hospital stay.and is recovering from a severe infection.  We still haven't had our heating system  replaced so we are relying in electric fires as its getting chilly.  Is there anything  Ovo offers as obviously I dont work my electricity bill is going to rise sky high but I need to keep my partner warm and we live in a rural area  Any ideas??

Warm Home DiscountPlease help/adviseMy Husband now receives his New State Pension & a private occupational one for approximately same amountAs this would possibly be the first year he’d qualify can anyone help & give me advice Ive just seen Nukecad post on New Rules & the part about bill/s being in name of qualifying person. Our home is with OVO & in my name, I’m not eligible for a Pension yet as:-Not Pension Age When I am I still won’t as 'Not paid enough NI contributions because I’m disabled and not been able to work F/T since 1999 & I did I work P/T & Voluntary, therefore not paid enough NI to qualify. plus I opted out in 90s.  I am trying to rectify this, either buying missing yrs &/of HRB/credits for caring duties, so I can get something by the time I’m 66yrs old. My father has recently passed away. For ease we always had account in my name and the dd came from my account. So we rang OVO to say house is now empty, can we please reduce DD to a more acceptable amount until house is sold. Apparently this is not possible! So it was suggested that as account had a very large credit balance that the DD was cancelled and future bills would come off the balance. All seemed ok.Since then I have had daily phone calls from collection agents, telling me the DD has been cancelled. This is now verging on harassment. How can I stop this?
