I've been told OVO have opened up their 'customer care package' scheme for free electric blankets, is the criteria really strict or are is it not true? I'm on low income (benefits) with 2 children (10&2) have physical and mental illnesses and all i get offered is financial advice.Is it because I'm pay as you go so don't have any debt with them?

In July 2022, I was moved to the simpler energy variable plan (electricity only), as my previous fixed 2 year plan had ended.  I didn't have any choice in this as I couldn't afford any other fixed rate plan on offer.  I’m on a Smart Meter.  Direct debit payments were steadily increased until in Jan this year I reached the limit of what I could afford.  I cancelled my direct debit, paid the Feb bill by credit card a day early and have now set up a Standing Order for the maximum I can afford to start 1st of next month.  My latest usage tells me I’m in credit to the tune of nearly £50.  I was paying 0.32p per kwh but since my DD was cancelled Ovo have increased this to 0.36p which of course has only made my life harder.  You can’t get hold of anyone to speak to and the only time I managed that they were utterly useless.  I’ve sent emails but have never had a response or even an acknowledgement, the Whatsapp facility elicited no response either and the Chat Bot is useless.  I have to go

Hi there!  I have received my warm home discount £150 voucher.It's telling me to take my voucher to my local post office as its come on the letter from Ovo.  I want to know,  do I take my pre payment key/card  to the post office also??? Any information would be much appreciated!! 

Hi, need help! I was taken to court by OVO without my knowledge as I had moved to a new address. I saw my credit report and realised I now have CCJ. I’m attempting to pay the balance in full to get it removed from my credit file, however I have no details of who to pay to, the account to pay into etc. I called OVO customer services but they weren’t able to help, and were giving me different amounts. I want to pay the ccj debt but don’t know who their legal team is. The ccj was filed on the 23rd of August, which means I have to pay by 23rd September to get it removed without waiting 6 years. Does anyone have the details of their legal team, who I can contact and confirm the judgment with? Thank you 

Hiya!As part of its Support Package, I was offered a heated throw from OVO on 7 November - but haven’t heard anything about delivery. Does anyone know when these will arrive?Also, had a call from a number on 17th November - 0044 333 311 1231 - claiming to be from OVO, but I don’t recognise the number. Has anyone else had this call? Thanks

I’m an OAP and my gas smart meter stopped working last night. I had an engineer come out this morning and he said the meter needs to be replaced. I have been trying to call OVO but cannot get through to anyone because it is a Saturday. Can anyone give me a number where I can actually talk to someone to get my heat back on? Thank you.

I called and reported a bereavement at my dad’s property in June. Spoke to a lovely lady who refunded incorrect charges and assured me no further standing charges will be made as long as no energy is used/No one is at the property.Today I received a bill, logged in and see not only standing charges billed every month since June, but estimated usage too (despite speaking to the bereavement team)Called again today, spoke to Michael, who said I will received standing charges, but no usage costs, and to ignore it all until the property is sold!So, who is correct? the original lady I spoke to or Michael?Should the property still be incurring monthly standing charges for both Gas and Electricity? Appreciate any advise received - Thanks

How do I claim a bill reduction for medical (dialysis) apparatus that has to be on all the time? 

My supply was capped by cadent in January as they were upgrading the pipes in the area (January??!!)and as I have mental health issues, I was unable to allow them access to do whatever it is they needed to do when it's switched back on, So, now I'm capped,  cold,  depressed and I have no help and I never know when I'm able to allow them in (bi-polar with extreme lows).The council have been round (February) for their annual check, they did arrange for cadent to come, but I couldn't handle it. Especially after the engineer called me, was rude, shouting and telling me to contact my gas supplier (ovo). I guess my question is, help?Any advice, suggestions, anything I can do at short notice when I'm 'awake'?

So I have a friend who is an OVO customer the only difference is she pays DD and I pay as you go,But she seems to get loads of extra Benefits ie.. early access to ovo events, elec blankets and other offers just wondering if i'm in not entitled to the same due to being a payg customer??,

I am thinking about switching to OVO from Octopus but I have a deficit of about £300 currently. Can I switch the deficit to OVO? If OVO agrees with Octopus to take on the debt then why not?

Dear ovo community, I tried with my old supplier  on numerous occasions to have my electric and gas debit and future bills payed directly from my benefits as i have a mental health condition which affects my memory and ability to organise  my finances. This was refused and unfortunately i am know in debt.  I would appreciate any advice on how l can set up fuel direct and if OVO will accept this?

Despite the fact I have put £165 on my "smart" meter in the last 10 days it is registering less than £4!  My electric is forever shutting off, two weeks ago it shut down and when I called AGAIN they were sending someone out to check the meter.  I'm still waiting for them to arrive.  Today I phoned AGAIN and have been informed NONE of my payments have gone through!  Not only that there is more than £100 discrepancy between the payments I've made and what they register.  It would stand to reason that as my energy supplier I would of made more than 5 payments, which they should know, how can their system only go back two weeks?!  Now I have to prove I have made more than 5 payments, even though the money has been taken and to add insult to injury they are about to take another payment!  Plus apparently when I spoke to customer services they took money from my account that day that I knew nothing about!  All of this i

We moved house back in May and ended up with a large final bill of £350. I spoke to Ovo and we agreed a payment plan to chip away at the debt for the next 12 months. I was told to set up a standing order which I did, and the money that is sent to Ovo is taken each month off the outstanding balance. Despite this payment plan they continue to bombard me with emails, calls and texts asking me to pay the bill. A few weeks ago when I managed to speak with someone they put the account on hold but only for 30 days. I’ve now had a notice of default which will impact my credit rating. Normally agreeing a payment plan would stop such action. Do Ovo work differently? Thanks 

I’m interested to hear from SSE former customers and if it resonates Ovo Energy customers.I transferred from SSE mid January 2022. My billing cycle was quarterly and bills came not long after the billing period. My bill was paid by a direct payment.At transfer Ovo Energy placed me on a monthly cycle running 13th of the month to the 12th of the following.Upon transfer my bill fell at transfer and I paid SSE. The money was transferred to Ovo, however my previous billing and usage with SSE was and still is not visible.For the period 13th March to the 12th April, I viewed my bill electronically I have smart meters and paid on the 13/4/22 shown on my bank statement as the 14/4/22. I paid modestly over the due amount and was in credit at the start of the billing period. A week later I received a bill from a Ovo indicating a debt.This debt was imaginary as their system appeared not to acknowledge my payment, even though my account did. For that period and

My 16 July bill is going to have a zero balance. At current rates - I’m on a variable tariff - I expect to use roughly £80 worth of gas and electricity per month from now to mid-October, then £140 per month from mid-October to mid-April, then back to £80 per month over the summer. Therefore, £1320 in total.£1320 divided by 12 = £110 per month. Now, OVO’s system seems quite happy for me to set my monthly direct debit to £110. But if I do, this is what’s going to happen:  That is to say: every year going forward, five of my monthly bills will be in credit, five will be in debit, and two (for July and January) will have a zero balance.My question is: is OVO fine with this, or will I be hassled - and my account end up in collections - when my account goes into debit in February?

Bereavement FITSHi there,  hoping someone can help advise if they have been in a similar situation. My father passed away in Novemeber last year and I have been trying to get the OVO Team to get the account put into my name (create an account and transfer) I filled in the transfer form but have had nothing back for months now. I called and called “your account is going to get created soon” but nothing. I just had a cheque sent to me in my fathers name. This is all becoming a little disressoing!Kind regards,Jon.

My elderly mother is severely hard of hearing and cannot cope with telephone calls now. She officially named/agreed with OVO for  my brother to be her representative to deal with her account however he was told on a later call that he cannot discuss/change her direct debit as she asked him to do and that instead my mum would need to telephone(!) to get a WhatsApp number for collections (or whatever the payment dept calls themselves now) to do it herself. The other option offered was for my brother to become financially liable and be named on our mother’s bill.  All my mum wants is to do is reduce the new direct debit amount as she is substantially in credit. It hasn’t helped that my mum has been telephoned by OVO since and had messages that she cannot understand and this whole experience has her sick with stress. What part of “cannot hear” does OVO not comprehend? Why can’t her representative actually represent her? We didn’t have t

I was an SSE customer for 9 years and had always managed my monthly direct debits succsessfully during that time. I was moved over to OVO automatically and my direct debit of £25.00  was accepted on 10th August, 2022. On the 11th August 2022 I received an email from OVO saying I hadn’t paid enough and saying I must pay £96.00 per month with immediate effect. I did then panic and cancelled the direct debit immediately as all I had in my bank account was just over £100 and OVO would have taken £96, leaving me with £7.00 to last me for food until the 24th of August! This massive 75% increase is not acceptable to me, I simply do not have the funds to pay it!. I am an OAP on State Pension live alone in a small flat. I use very little electricity compared to some users and hiking my direct debit like this is frightening. I have no idea now what to do. Can someone out there please help me?
