We have been complaining to OVO for months about how much we have been charged for our utilities - £292 month and the amount they say we were using crazy.  We went to give a reading and it was even higher.  So they advised us to wait until our new SMART meter is fitted.  After 3 weeks our usage is at £71 and they have said the readings have been accurate and being sent through fine, but we obviously have to wait another 3 weeks.This is disgusting, there are only 3 people in the property and we are out all day 5/6 days a week, but they argued that the readings were right.  At one point they charged us £700 for a months’ gas usage.  We just want a refund with interest as soon as possible, they have put the account on hold but how long is this going to take as if they don’t sort this out asap we will be reporting it to OFGEM and gain legal advice.

Hi. I'm new8 to EVs and have just a charger installed.  As OVO offers a flat rate of 7p per hr for charging, I've added Charge Anytime.  I've gone to do my first charge and am confused. I want the vehicle charged by 7pm tonight. I've set that in the App. That's 3.25 hrs from now but it's not started charging. If I hit urgent charge, it says I won't get the credit back so I'm not getting the 7p anytime rate. It's very co fusing to a newbie getting to grips with everything EV. My immediate.reaction is that the claim of a flat rate is false but I know that can't be the case. Any help or explanation would be much appreciated. Thanks

I’ve today received a postcard from Ovo:‘Ovo has been trying to contact you about your Radio Teleswitch (RTS) electricity meter’.NO, it hasn’t. First I’ve heard!  That makes me angry.Apparently our meter will be ‘switched off’ ‘from June’. Now they tell me?!Google tells me it is to fit a smart meter.We’ve had engineers try twice to fit one, but our CH boiler is in the way.Can anyone advise? 

These air to air heat pumps, I’ve heard they’re noisy. Is that right?

I have been using the charge anytime since August but has suddenly stopped working. I tried deleting my car from the app and reregistering but my car is no longer on the list. Being a pensioner I find it difficult to cope with the technology, any ideas?

Since the price increases on 1st April my app & online account don't update as quickly as they did before. I know it always does take a few days to catch up after a  change in tariff prices so I ignored it for a week but it still takes until the evening to update the day befores usage & readings a month on. That includes the meter reading which is taken at midnight. Is this just me or did this change on 1st April & meant to be like this going forward?

HiWe switched to OVO at the beginning of April but the switch still hasn't completed. We can't use the app to submit meter readings and the website keeps saying 'you're direct debit will be confirmed on..'Any suggestions?Thank you

Hi folks, I am trying to have a redundant THTC meter removed from my house and OVO seem to be refusing to do this. Can anyone help explain what I should do? Some background info below: We moved to a property in March last year in the west of Scotland. The property has two meters with a THTC setup running storage heaters. We are getting the storage heaters removed in February and an air source heat pump installed.  Once this work has been carried out there will be nothing running from the RadioTelemeter (THTC) meter. I have contacted OVO by phone yesterday to request that this meter be removed once it is no longer in use. The person I spoke with said that OVO would not do this because doing so would stop the other (ordinary) meter working. They weren’t able to explain why this would be the case. After some time on the phone I was told that if I emailed OVO with evidence that the THTC meter would not powering anything then they could arrange for it to be removed. This seemed like a posit

Just very curious as to how I managed to get into a £450 debt transferring to OVO when I have been using PAYG - literally Pay As You Go - top up meter for years??  Any ideas?  I do not have any other meters, accounts or residences, and I live in a studio flat alone!

Hello, I have just had a smart meter installed. I have asked to continue with my existing Economy 7 plan, it suits my lifestyle. On my old meter it was simple to check between the Daytime/Nighttime  usage. How do I know which tariff is currently being metered. ?How do I collect my monthly usage on the 1st day of the month, as I have done previously. 

I am getting a new smart meter installed in a couple of weeks to replace my old RTS meter. On the phone call I hurriedly picked economy 10 as the tariff I wanted to go on. But I have old style storage heaters which heat overnight so I think economy 7 would be better. I'm panicking my bills will shoot up on economy 10. Should I contact ovo to change to economy 7? Help please. 

Hi, After the constant nagging from OVO to install smart meters, I finally gave in about a year ago. The installer came and refused to fit it, because they were unable to climb a ladder (the meter box is above the front door). We share a common entrance wirth next door and their smart meter (fitted by Utility Warehouse) is next to ours in the same place. I am now not able to request a SMART meter. We are looking to rent our property out soon so it would be very useful (I don’t think the tenants will want to climb a ladder to read the meter!)The gas meter is outside the front door and easy to access.Any suggestions for a way forward? 

I just installed Charge Anytime for my Mercedes EQC 400.I have it set on Min 50% and Max 100%.  My question:Why can’t it just be set to a 100% charge, or even 95%? I don’t want it to only charge 50%. I’ve tried it twice and all I get the car charged is around 50% but I need the battery to be fully charge for my longer journeys. It’s quite stressful not knowing if I’ll have enough battery or not when I leave the house in the morning.Is it meant to work like this? Why can’t I just set the % I want it charged at? The highest I can move the Min charge to is 50%. I’ve contacted OVO but they’re not getting back to me. Thanks.

I am about to have two old (RTS) THTC meters economy 10 each has its own consumer board being replaced with a smart meter. I have WiFi timer controllers on all my Storage heaters/hot water units all wired to same consumer board. Unfortunately I have 5 other basic panel radiator wired to the peak priced consumer board. Is it possible to ask fitter on installation of new smart meter, to wire via Henley block (?) both consumer boards as one split board ? This would allow the benefit of the off peak tariff to all house, but would of course require careful management of the high usage loads Storage heaters/hot water via timed controllers.  It is normal practice on these meter switches to wire both consumer units to one smart meter for whole house benefit the off peak tariff or will installation team wire smart meter to two separate outputs on smart, one to each board, with Storage heater board only being live during off peak as now. Spoke with OVO customer care who simple had little clue wh

Hi hope, some one  can put  some light on this matter went to the local spare shop and put £200 on my top up key got the receipts put the key in the meter  says token accepted  but the £200 didn't  show up ?So went to the post office  and they say that they don't take ovo top up keys  no more can someone  tell me why thanks  

Has anyone got any idea what is going on! Was with SSE PAYG and received an OVO card. Put £20 gas on worked fine. Said I had £8, £8 emergency credit and the rest owed. This came out of the £20. Used the gas then went to use the emergency and the meter said I owed £28. Put £40 on today, I have now put my card in again to use my gas and it's now saying I'm another £38 in debt!!! I don't understand what is going on. I'm a single mum with a 2 year and had no gas now for a month. I have to wait until I have the money to top it up and all they are doing is taking my money and I still have no gas. Any advice would be helpful. I will contact them in the morning. I'm so angry I have to wait another week for my wages to put more money on! 

Hi, I currently have only £4 left of emergency electric credit from £20. Do I have to top up to get out of emergency credit? I only have £15 which only takes it to £19., any advice welcome 

My elderly parents have a 2-phase system with 2 economy 7 meters fitted. Phase 1 bills both day & night units and phase 2 bills night units only. I cannot get OVO to understand that the day units on phase 2 will always read 1 because this is a night only meter. When I provide meter readings they are rejected because the system is expecting a value greater than 1 on the day reading. OVO sent a meter reader earlier in the year and he did not understand that the reading was only 1. I have tried without success to get OVO to understand and act upon this difficulty and so I am hoping that members of this forum may be able to give me some advice.

OVO sent an engineer to install a smart meter to solve the impending RTS shut off. Because the RTS is in the house beside the fuse boxes and the two meters are outside he couldn’t install the smart meter. That was on the 22nd of January.He took a load of photographs. There was a plan for me to pay for some wiring in the fuse box at my cost to allow the smart meter to be installed. I’ve heard nothing since, I’ve tried emailing OVO without any reply. Obviously the RTS clock is ticking and I’m no where near getting a viable solution.

Hi, can anyone help my understanding of this system please. I have a solar PV and battery system that is working great, with plenty of excess energy.  We fitted an Eddi unit to divert any excess to the water tank with the hope of reducing the gas bill, associated with heating the tank. Everything is working and the excess energy is send to the tank and heats until “max temperature achieved”.  However, I have left my gas water heating schedule on and noticed that even though the tank is already at temperature the boiler would fire up for the duration of time the schedule is set to run - should that happen? and is that using gas to heat an already hot tank??Given the now amazing weather I thought I would turn the gas schedule off and set the Eddi unit to boast the tank using the stored (battery) energy in the morning and again in the evening, while continuing to use the excess to top up.Despite the energy going to the tank in the morning for an hour (05:00-06:00), I have woken up to warm

Hi,   I have a smart meter why do I get estimated readings on my Bill? I thought a smart meter would know my correct readings.   Jonboy.

I’ve had my Nissan Leaf and Indra SmartPro charger for over four years and always used the Kaluza app which worked fine.I’ve now had to start using the Indra app and Charge Anytime apps together. I only downloaded them last Thursday and then went away for the weekend so the first time I used the two apps was Sunday night.It didn’t charge so I had to Boost charge between passengers during the day. (I’m a voluteer driver.)Monday night it worked fine.Last night (Tuesday) I plugged it in and the Indra app said it was plugged in but the Charge Anytime app said it wasn’t - so I had to Boost charge on the Indra app. I need a full charge every day.I’m 75 and on a tiny pension. I can’t afford Boost charging!
