Hi,I noticed from my online account that I am currently in credit by about £700. I messaged OVO via their chat facility to ask if I could be paid back that money. The person who then reviewed my account told me that my gas meter was not sending usage data, as it had not been activated!        I had this problem when I was with SSE - I contacted them twice about it, both times I was told it had been fixed. Also that I would not be charged for any previous usage. The meter was fitted in early 2020 when I moved in to my current property, as I inherited a top-up meter from the previous tenant. I was not informed of this by my landlord, which was quite annoying, and got both gas and electricity meters changed as quickly as I could. From March 2020 to November 2021 I was physically not present in the flat, as I was in Wales looking after elderly relatives.        The person I spoke to today via OVO chat said that SSE had not provided them with a meter reading for my account prior to the hand

I have just submitted my gas meter readings and they say it needs to be validated. Why? There is less usage than normal as i am cutting back (like everyone else). Also mild in the SE so that means it is also lower than last year. Why do they not believe me.

Recently I signed up to Ovo energy and input the address incorrectly and forgot to include that the property was a flat. This flat has a different NMI than the original property. I need to change my am supply address on OVO but currently the phones at Ovo are not receiving any calls and I have not had an email reply.  Would it be best to cancel my account with Ovo, which would be within the 10 business days of signing up), try using the switching properties, or another idea.  Any help would be much appreciated.

After installing solar and a battery system I have changed supplier from Ovo to Octopus. However, my Ohme charger still thinks my tariff is Charge Anytime and will not allow me to change the tariff. Ohme say this is an issue that Ovo need to resolve by releasing my charger from their Kaluza platform. Two conversations with Ovo have resulted in two answers:First convo: “Since my energy supply account has been closed there is no reason why I should not be able to enter a new tariff.” Second convo: “We are awaiting an upgrade to the app. Until we get it you are stuck. Sorry, we can do no more.”Sadly, this situation with each blaming the other was predictable but that makes it no less frustrating! Is there any wisdom in this community that may shed light on the matter? 

Hello It should be obvious but what is todays daily standing charge for electricity only?Just the pence per day that I can be charged pre tax.Thankyou Vamatex

I payed a bill of £87.36 via Santander on 20-2-2023.which went into the wrong account number.Since then you have told me to sent a copy of the bank statement,which i did,on 6-5-2023.to 1 Rivergate,Temple Quay,Bristol,BS1-6ED…. Which Adam siad you have received,But on a new bill today...the amount is still on..Also a fine of £10 for non payment. This is now going on for nearly 5 months.Which Ovo have sent.I am in Bad credit… I have rang 5 times..but getting nowhere.Hope you will be able to help.

Tenants moved into my property on September 9th. I told OVO. My account still exists & I am obviously being billed for my tenants. What is going on?

I am not complaining as I know it will probably resolve over time. Just curious. I am a ‘new’ OVO customer having been switched less than 2 weeks ago. I have a healthy (by which I mean too high) balance which I was intending to address in a couple of months (the time after which OVO say they will review my monthly payment). We are all electric by the way. Today I received an email from OVO that said my monthly payment would reduce to £90 from the current. Currently we are running on minimal power - central heating is off, it has been very sunny, my solar panels have been working hard and we have switched off all unnecessary equipment. Even at that level a weekly payment of £90 wouldn’t be enough but this house will eat power when it starts to get cooler. As I said I am happy to let things flow as I have a good balance that will absorb the next bill or two but I wonder if this is a problem that has been encountered before.    

Today is my first day with Ovo and I’m struggling!  I specifically joined Ovo to avail of Charge Anytime but I keep being told by the app that something went wrong when it tries to link the accounts.  I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling it and the Ovo app, can log on successfully online without any issues, but this issue persists.It’s just a little frustrating and I need this working before I start heavily using my car from Wednesday.Any suggestions?

Can anyone explain what’s going on here?Opening balance was £335, we used around £90 worth of electric/gas combined (£66 government payment was taken off this, hence the £22 charge), I paid £150 so by my reckoning the balance should have gone up by around £125.It hasn’t though - they seem to have then deducted the £66 again.Does anyone know why? Do I need to contact them or will it right itself?

Why is there no option to change my smart meter installation date online? Despite their text massage saying I would be able to change it online. It’s Saturday and I want to change my appointment from Monday to Tuesday, but if the only option is to phone them then I can’t do that until Monday morning since the phone lines are closed at weekends, which is less than 24 hours notice, and hence a  £30 fine. 

We live in a first floor flat and have an EV. I’d like to charge it overnight - that’s the greenest electricity. I’d be happy with 3kW per hour as 9 hours charging would give me 27kW or 100 miles. I need to get the electricity down the stair well, out the front door and across the pavement. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion?PS to make it worse our home is in a conservation area

April 2022 I moved in to my current property. Boost was currently there so I called them and set up the account. Endless of top up problems since; topping up someone else’s account because I was told I was given wrong top up numbers. This was supposedly corrected a few times but then someone else was topping up my account. I found out a few months ago that they actually have me registered for TWO addresses   the first time I moved in they essentially registered me at the wrong house number  when they supposedly fixed it, instead of changing the address they set up a second account.Contacted CEO who then got the exec team to contact me, who again supposedly fixed it, which they didn’t.  Now, 15 months later, after winning an Ombudsman case, Boost is meant to have resolved this by 29th June 2023, and compensation to be provided.They still haven’t.  I am so very close now to going to a solicitor and take you to court for having me responsible for SOMEONE ELSES property.  It’s getting beyo

Maybe someone has some experience and can help.I had charge anytime on my account linked to my Ohme pro. It was working fine and I was getting credit.one thing that annoyed me with Ohme was the the car info wasn’t correct. So battery capacity and mileage. So spoke to Ohme and they added the car with correct info. However they had a big what’re you couldn’t change car. The only way to get around this was to delete my Ohme account and set up another. Which solved that problem.as part of this I realised I would need to remove the charge anytime add on and then re link to my new Ohme account.  and of course ever since I havnt received any credit and I don’t know the fix for this now.I have deleted all schedules on Ohme and re set up.I have removed the charge anytime add on again and re linked but have not been able to get back to getting credit.have sent info to OVO however said it can be up to 14 days for Somone to look. so any bright ideas???

Hello, I am about to become an EV owner for the first time with a Tesla Y and looking for affordable EV home charger options.  Looking at a VCHRGD Seven and wondered if this is ok? Tesla keep telling me go Tesla as better but is it actually?Also don't fully understand how Tesla / EV home charger apps integrate with each other so is that where I might get a more seamless service i.e. Tesla with Tesla or doesn't it make much difference in practice? 

Indra pro not working again — offlinerecurring issue - is this Kaluza related?tried rebooting charger but has no effect.

I have just updated my password on Ohme and assume I need to update somewhere in Ovo to continue linking but can’t find out where to update.

I have my annual usage for electricity but the usage is not broken down into Economy 7 (off peak) usage and peak usage. How do I find this out. I have a 1st gen smart meter.

So OVO are still over charging above the price cap. when you question this the chat service cuts you off. So we are unable to complain to OVO. We can’t move away from OVO as the energy companies are not competitive and are running a closed shop and hard luck on customers this is a complete fiddle between energy companies and Ofgem to extract as much money as they can from customers. 

Is there any Gas Plan alternative please to my ‘2 year Fix and Protect EPG’ paying 10.45 p (vat incl) per KWh & 27.52p (vat incl.) per day Standing charge.Not keen on having a Smart Meter as part of any dealI thought there was a price cap from 1st July ‘23 set at 7.88p (vat incl) and 30.55p( vat incl) per day Standing charge.

The list says XC40 (2019-2021 only), I’ve got a 2022 Volvo XC40, its the same surely (except minor body panel) from the previous years all the charging and electrics are the same, motors etc.Is this a mistake and it should be included, if not when can we expect support if there is some minor difference?I tried selecting 2021 but it couldn’t find my vehicle when the app contacted volvo.. :( 

We fixed a Drive tariff in Sept 2022 for 12 months (when Boris was saying we all just had to ”suck up” the energy prices).  Under that tariff we were paying 63.49 pence per kWh for electricity and 18.72 pence per kWh for gas..  A few days and 300 prime ministers later  the EPG was announced and so our tariff for electricity has been capped at 31.44 pence per kWh for electricity and 9.74 pence per kWh for gas since 1 October 2022.  (Our plan name on the system is  “Drive 20220309 EPG“ )  On 1 July 2023 I would like to know from Ovo what our tariff is going to be please?  We’ve had no communication from Ovo regarding this.  Will it revert to the  63.49 pence per kWh for electricity or not?  If not, what will it be and what are our options? When do the new tarriff’s kick in? My smart meter is still showing the tarriff’s from pre July 

We switched from EDF to OVO 5 days ago, and the OVO website wants me to submit an initial reading from our year-old smart meter. However, the OVO site then says:We're still waiting for some industry data for this meter, so you're not able to submit a reading right now.Is this common? Does it solve itself? I can’t go to any other part of my account on the website or phone, so it is a bit annoying.

I would like to know if we as pensioners will we qualify for a grant to wards loft insulation  our house is in Surrey and our Council tax band is “G” This I’m sure would help reduce our heating bills if we qualify..
