I have plenty of land but an old small property. Can a ground source heat pump system have all the controls, etc outside with just the supply and return pipes going into the property?

Has anyone had any dealings with the Power Move Plus scheme ?  I signed up for it last month but haven't heard anything about it since then.  I'm signed up for Power Move scheme and have met the target every month !!!! Thanks......  Mike

When I was on the OVO beyond app last week I saw it had a £10 off discount code for Seatfrog. Just went on it now and it’s gone. Do the benefits change every week? Shame the seatfrog one isn’t a permanent offer!

Hi all,I’ve just bought a new build with a Ecodan FTC. I have had a nightmare trying to balance the house temps. Too cold. Now too hot. I tried the weather comp but my numbers were way out. Downstairs was ok but upstairs was far too cold. Yesterday I changed to auto temp which wacked the flow rate up to 45 and in turn got the upstairs to temp (although downstairs is now tropical!)My understanding is that the auto temp on the Ecodan uses the room temp to make flow adjustments. My issue is that the room temp on the Ecodan is reading like 8 degrees. I imagine this is why it was just flat out all day long.I see you can change the sensor to be either the FTC which it is set at and no doubt where the temp of 8 is being read from, or the TH1 to use a wireless controller.This is where I need help. There is a wireless unit attached but I am not sure if this is the correct thing. Used to connect the app.How can I get the actual house temp to the Ecodan FTC to take advantage of the auto temp feat

Recently had smart meters installed (SMETS 2 Meter) the installer never left us the in home display so had to contact ovo who speedily sent out the Trio II display, there are no instructions with the device I've switched it on and recieve connecting to smart meter followed by meter not commissioned.On the SMETS 2 meter  the WAN and HAN light indicators are off no lights.How do I go about resolving these issues.

Hi there. Has anyone else out there had the same experience as me. I was checking to see if my latest bill was available on the OVO app when I noticed they were offering me one and two year fixed deals. I innocently clicked on the link to see how much it would be, only to find that I was instantly signed up for a two-year fixed contract which I didn't want. I now have to go through the process of trying to get them to cancel it within 14 days. Is it just me that thinks this is outrageous. Surely there should be a minimum of two steps to allow you to first see the rates they are going to charge you so that you can decide whether it is something you want or not. I am absolutely horrified that OFGEN allows them to do it.

To save energy I try and use the washing machine and dishwasher on my Economy 7 night tariff by the use of the inbuilt timers. The thing is that I assume the switchover occurs sometime around midnight and again at 7am in the morning. The Ovo Energy website says to check the actual times (which can vary) with your energy provider i.e. Ovo Energy. I can find no specific information on this online so would need to contact them. However because I manage my account online I don't think I am allowed to email them. Have tried before on another topic and never got a reply. Is there any easy way to get the info other than sitting by the meter and waiting for the click :D

I have 2 meters in the property I have moved in to.  One is an RST meter that runs the storage heating.  The other does everything else. My bills the last couple of months have been astronomical so I called Ovo to request to be switched to an Economy 7 (or whatever) tarriff so I can make use of cheaper overnight rates for heating and hot water. After spending what seemed like an eternity getting put on hold and transferred I eventually got through to somebody who said that the ONLY solution they have is to remove the meter for the storage heaters and hot water and never use the heating again.  When I told the agent it’s the middle of winter she said “we can do it in April” as if winter is a one off event that doesn’t occur every year. And of course they also refuse to install a smart meter too. I could not believe what I was hearing!  Do these people live in the real world?  Is that REALLY Ovo’s only alternative to paying a flat rate?  How would that even help???   I swear to god, the

I was trying to get help today to sort out a debt through the online chat system.The person asked for my National Insurance number and which benefits i was getting and I gave it, then they told me they can’t help me and ended the chat. I’m worried I’ve just been scammed as my partner told to never give that number, as the person now as access to my bills,NI,phone number as well as my what benefits I’m claiming and could commit fraud on me.  Is this normal to ask for someones NI number ? 

I have successfully linked my car to Charge Anytime and it is showing the charge level OK.  But the app is saying that I haven’t made any savings yet.Is that because I am using a standard 3 pin plug 13amp charger?  Does this only work with a proper EV fast charger?Any advice appreciated.

Just received the email for December PM and it said I used 13.69% over the month. This does not match my spreadsheet that calculated 12.70% for December.  By backwards analysis, it appears that they are including Boxing Day as a normal week day, as if I force my spreadsheet to include it, it totals 13.70%, 0.01% off their email value. I called ovo and they have opened a ticket to investigate and a complaint as something is going wrong with their system.  Their call handler worryingly stated that bank holidays are not excluded, so I swiftly pointed them to their own T&Cs, which they then agreed with, but then stated Christmas day is a national holiday and not a bank holiday, to which I directed them to Gov.uk which says it is a bank holiday too. Please check your spreadsheets to make sure you haven't been wronged too!

Hi all - new member to the forum with a question on the Geo Trio II.I seem to have a slightly different model than is shown on any of the websites.  It’s a non touch version, but it doesn’t have any notification LED at the bottom of the device.  It’s also wifi enabled, but doesn’t have a dongle to provide this, the wifi module is internal to the device.I’ve been able to connect it to the geo Home app successfully and was wondering if firmware updates are ever provided, and if so how they are delivered?  Looking in the manual for the version of the device with the LED at the base there seem to be some display customisation options which are missing from my device - and I was wondering if they are available with a newer firmware?   Looking at the forum it appears that @Blastoise186 is your resident expert on these devices, so maybe they would know?My current version details are as follows:Model Number: Trio II Hardware Version: 01 UI Version: 2.3.4 JN Version 1.139.242.0 Firmware Version

For the last 3 months our gas bill seems to be increasing huuuugely. For £80 usage to £200+ usage in a month! Nothings changed though.  I thought I'd analyse the invoices a little closer and it looks like we're being charged 10-12 times more than we've actually used. This has been ongoing since we were moved from to Ovo 14 months ago. I've tried on chat to discuss but they were useless so we'll have to call between 9am and 5pm on a weekday. Not handy for people who work those hours!  Can someone take a look at the screenshot in the feed to double check I've not read this incorrectly? I've checked the electric and what's been used is what has been billed. 

So after using weather compensation for the past month or so my flow temp is not achieving the target flow temp on my weather compensation curve. We have had below 0 outside on many occasions this week. 

Why does the Medium Energy slots change before I can use the?  I have had three days using everything at High Energy, and my electricity usage has been over £3 for each of those days - the highest since I joined OVO December 2022.I’m already sitting in candlelight, three jumpers quilt and blankets for 3 hours each weekday for Power Move. I have been able to charge iPad & phone during Green/Medium periods to use ‘off grid’ between 4pm and 7pm each weekday and seen the rewards in 2 bills BUT for the those 3 days last week this was impossible. After 7pm High until 11pm but after 10pm it was high until 3am so I set alarm & woke up at 2.45am to be ready to plug in iPhone & iPad. Then this morning, Saturday 13 January 2024, it was High from 7am so I had to get breakfast and shower at the highest usage rate. Is this fair?

How long does it take OVO to tell you the result of one of these events ?  

I am confused. We bought this 1969 house in 1973 and it has still got the underfloor electric heating. we have 2 meters and two mpans. one meter is attached to the consumer unit which supplies all of the lighting and 13 amp sockets and electric shower plus a socket in th airing cupboard into which we could plug the immersion heater if we wanted hot water outside the offpeak times..The other meter  is supplied via a mechanical timer  and supplies a separate consumer unit which is connected only to all of the underfloor heating in every room and the hot water immersion heater only.This meter appears to be switching on and off between 1400 and 1800 and  2200and 0800 and was billed when we first moved in as off peak rate B by the eastern electricboard. If we went to smart meters would we not want one for the general 24hours cicuit board and a second one for the heating and hot water board replacing the two meters we have installed at presentThe current meters were replacements fitted about

Hi Everyone,Apologies in advance if this has been asked before, I’ve been looking through google and this forum seems to be very helpful.I’m running a Ecodan heat pump with underfloor heating only ( no radiators)but I’m finding there is no information online on how to run the system properly and most efficiently, it’s rather frustrating.There is a lot talk about cop figures ?  I have no idea how I obtain these figures from my controller or Mel cloud appI have 4 thermostats and use a Heatmiser app for a timer ( 4am - 10pm and then a 2 degree drop off from 10pm) .Two rooms  achieve solar gain and are hotter than the other two rooms. I don’t use the other rooms often so I have the thermostats low in those rooms so they never call for heat.There’s a lot of talk about running the system low and slow 24/7 .The only way to run 24/7  is to run the thermostats in the rooms  higher than my desired temperature so the pump is always on?Won’t this uses more KW? If one thermostat is calling for heat

Have been trying to sort out problems I have with ovo and run into nothing but problems on chat and phone I had a smart meter installed just before Christmas and the in home display went wrong 2 days later. Chatted online with someone who advised to unplug the display and leave 24 hours and to use the meter to display current balance by pressing the A  button.  The chat ended and I went to the meter and found no A button l. Tried to use the only one on there but couldn't find anything about ky current PAYG balance. Phoned ovo and spoke to someone about this and then they advised to plug the display back in again. This was done and the balance came up showing that somehow I'd used nearly £20 electric overnight. The heating wasn't on overnight and the only things on were a fridge, a kitchen light, my laptop and my amazon echo show 8. So how did thus amount get used? When I asked the ovo service person about this, all they kept saying was that us the balance show on their screen. The othe

Tonight I've had an email from Ovo telling me that I'm going to be getting the warm home discount.My question is,WHY is there going to be a delay until November ??   

Had an emergency appointment booked in for tonight between 7-10pm to sort my meter as it won’t turn back on so completely without power and guess what never bothered showing up and I’m still without power and I can’t even contact anyone! 7 hours no power food is spoiling as we speak and they were aware I’ve 2 disabled children and needed to be put back on asap! Ovo girls were wonderful, has anyone else had this from mds or know how I can contact them out of hours!! 

Good Day, I have noticed in the past few days, when it has been extremely cold that my Solax Battery isn't force charging as much power from the grid as last week when the night time temp was warmer. I used to get 2.4kwh an hour and when its cold only 1kwh max…..Has anyone else experienced this.  Thanks again Jonathan

I have been really struggling over the past 4 weeks after I have renewed my contract with OVO Energy to have the final figures confirmed by OVO. Every time I spoke to OVO, after waiting a long time over the phone, I was given different figures by different staff. Eventually, thanks to “Chelsea” from the “Resolver Team” who rang me back after I have submitted a complaint, and she was an absolute gem. She has got full grasp of the problem and managed to resolve it. Chelsea is the epitome of Customer Care; in mannerisms and experience. She is a credit to OVO as she is a star at her job. Thank you Chelsea. 

Dear ovo community, I tried with my old supplier  on numerous occasions to have my electric and gas debit and future bills payed directly from my benefits as i have a mental health condition which affects my memory and ability to organise  my finances. This was refused and unfortunately i am know in debt.  I would appreciate any advice on how l can set up fuel direct and if OVO will accept this?
