Tonight I've had an email from Ovo telling me that I'm going to be getting the warm home discount.My question is,WHY is there going to be a delay until November ??   

Had an emergency appointment booked in for tonight between 7-10pm to sort my meter as it won’t turn back on so completely without power and guess what never bothered showing up and I’m still without power and I can’t even contact anyone! 7 hours no power food is spoiling as we speak and they were aware I’ve 2 disabled children and needed to be put back on asap! Ovo girls were wonderful, has anyone else had this from mds or know how I can contact them out of hours!! 

Good Day, I have noticed in the past few days, when it has been extremely cold that my Solax Battery isn't force charging as much power from the grid as last week when the night time temp was warmer. I used to get 2.4kwh an hour and when its cold only 1kwh max…..Has anyone else experienced this.  Thanks again Jonathan

I have been really struggling over the past 4 weeks after I have renewed my contract with OVO Energy to have the final figures confirmed by OVO. Every time I spoke to OVO, after waiting a long time over the phone, I was given different figures by different staff. Eventually, thanks to “Chelsea” from the “Resolver Team” who rang me back after I have submitted a complaint, and she was an absolute gem. She has got full grasp of the problem and managed to resolve it. Chelsea is the epitome of Customer Care; in mannerisms and experience. She is a credit to OVO as she is a star at her job. Thank you Chelsea. 

Dear ovo community, I tried with my old supplier  on numerous occasions to have my electric and gas debit and future bills payed directly from my benefits as i have a mental health condition which affects my memory and ability to organise  my finances. This was refused and unfortunately i am know in debt.  I would appreciate any advice on how l can set up fuel direct and if OVO will accept this?

Hey 👋 I recently had Solar + Battery installed by OVO and signed up to power move plus.  Does anyone know what happens if I export during an event. Will I get paid more for hitting target or is it just the normal SEG rate,  I see other companies like 🐙 which pay you for not using and for exporting during the DFS events.Thanks, Stewart 

Has anyone received results for this event? I signed up and got the usual confirmation.I sat in the dark with a torch 5.30 - 6.30 , and can see from my app that i used 0.07kwh over the hour, so I was definitely below my 0.1kwh target. I've received the results for 19th Dec event, but nothing at all for 15th. I know it will only be 21 or 24p but its the principle of doing it.Is there an issue getting the results out?

Hi today's  Date is the 09/01/24 time is now 11.49pm I have just gone on to my ovo app and it is refusing to open up it is stating taking to long to open can anybody  else confirm  if they are having issues  or if ovo can confirm  if there is a technical issues as also the option of making payment on mobile phone app as Disappeard. 

2nd month in a row: “During December your smart meter failed to send us readings at certain times, so we couldn’t see the full picture of your electricity use. Unfortunately this means you won’t receive a Power Move credit this month.” So how is it the ovo app shows a full half hourly breakdown of my use? 🤔 No reply from ovo last month when I queried it, maybe they’ll respond to me this month. Think it’s time to give up on this nonsense, not worth the disruption / hassle!

Please could you update the Anytime Charging online registration to include the BMW I5 model.  I am advised by BMW that it works off the same Operating System as the I4 and I7 models which are on the OVO registraion page and therefore the I5 model will also be compatible with the Charge Anytime App.

Hi, Migrated SSE customer here.  I’ve set up the account by inputting my account number and confirming my email. Account set up was okay.  Now when I try to top up the electricity via the website, it shows me nothing but the TopUp application download details. Okay…. so I downloaded the app, went to sign in using the newly set password, Error logging in, incorrect email or password ???!!!!! Has anyone had this issue? If so, how did you resolve it? Thanks

Hello everyone. I just joined OVO. I want to add OVO Charge Anytime, as I have a Tesla and I charge it at home. I downloaded the app but I cannot log in using the OVO credentials (either account number or email address + password I use for the account). Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?Thanks for your help!

Checked and paid bill on 7th Jan 2024. I used to be able to see way back when we got moved from SSE but now my history starts at 2022 with a note saying you have been moved to our new system in Jan 2022. I check regularly and this has just appeared. Wealso have months missing from 2022 and 2023. I screenshot Dec to Jan with debit of £387 just before Christmas and on 5 Jan the debit is £551 !! What on earth are OVO doing. None of it makes sense.

I must say I’m not very happy with these so called smart pay as you go meters.. my elderly and vulnerable parents had one of these fitted recently and went to see them on Tuesday and they had no electric (luckily it was only an hour and they knew I was coming) but they have a care line which stopped working so that’s dangerous but I checked the app on my phone as I’m power of attorney for them so I keep track of everything and it was showing still £43 in it??? I phoned up was told that the balance was actually zero! So I topped up again while on the phone then had to be talked through how to get the meter working again!! There is nowhere on the screen that tells you the balance in there but even if it did it’s so complicated and high up my parents couldn’t use it themselves anyway…. There should be some kind of simple to use meter… it’s now Friday and topping it up 3 more times it’s still showing they have £43 in the meter and last updated 1/1/24 ????? As per the title really. Was running at 10% on 19th December when the email came through, and despite nothing changing with our usage except maybe using a little more on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (which shouldn't be included anyway should they?) my Power Move Credit for December was £0. Funny that. Doubt I'll even bother with the new one. Doesn't seem any point. And because my Smart Meters STILL only seem to be talking to OVO and not the DCC I still can't join any other challenges etc. that other monitoring companies are doing. 

i changed my simpler energy plan on 28th December from Economy 7 to a single variable  rate which was acknowledged and implemented. I have now noticed today (4/1/2024) that the readings on my smart meter and IHD have reverted back to Economy 7 dual rates which I definitely do not want. How can I have this resolved?

I can’t hit the target because my overall usage is low and evenly spread throughout the day, if I used lots of energy, I could swap things around, but as I don’t , my target equals on average using less than 0.7 kwh in the 3 hour period

My usage is already as low as I can get it. Therefore this turns out to be a complete and utter waste of time and effort and absolutely no help at all with astronomic energy bills. Most of what I pay each month is standing charges. Any solutions there, Ovo?

I’m currently with SSE but hope I can get an answer here as they have been taken over by OVO. I have two separate electricity meters, one for standard rate, and one for storage heater and hot water, the latter being controlled by a clock which gives two separate charging periods.  We don’t use the heater except for background (low rate is about 45% total usage) and I think Economy 7 would be cheaper.  Is this possible to move to a single E7 meter (smart if poss) and would there be a charge?  The whole system dates from the 1960s and so far as I know the only change has been two new meters a few years ago.  Picture of distribution board attached.  

I live alone in a 3 bed End Terrace (I had 2 teens when I moved in) and I think I'm quite frugal in both my gas and electricity usage. Every week though, my electricity use is always higher than similar OVO homes, this past week it was 43% higher 😯.  By similar homes, are OVO looking at the fact that I live alone or that I've got 3 bedrooms? In October, I used £53 of electricity, is this really 40% higher than other homes? 

Over the last two years we have had four power cuts, due to trees falling on the powerlines.The power lines in question, go through a relative narrow tunnel surrounded by pine trees.Storm Arwin dislodged some and since them it has gone from bad to worse and any new storm causes new damage. The engineers come in and fix the cables, however leave the surrounding trees alone.I am interested to know , if it is up to OVO ( SSE) or the land owner to clear a sufficient wide area to prevent further damage.

Hi, simple question, I hope.Can we export surplus EV power back to the grid if we do not have a good mobile signal? We have repeatedly applied for a Smart Meter and been told they will not work here because our mobile signal is not good enough. In an effort to reduce our inexplicably high bills we have installed a solar panel system the returns of which were predicated in part on being able to sell surplus generation back to the grid, via our supplier Octopus. At no time did anyone mention the requirement for a good mobile signal, we have wifi calling via a high speed broadband, but no reliable mobile signal indoors.All this only became apparent when we applied for Octopus's Export Guarantee and they make clear we need a Smart Meter and when we applied we were told they are not currently available in our area! I can't find any advice about this, the lack of Smart Meter seems to be assumed to be a matter of choice not technology, Quite happy to invest in an Export Meter if that makes th

Hi, I recently installed a Livoltek ESS and I can constantly see the draw from the battery is nearly always double (low loads) to that of the demand (Home) is this normal or am I missing something obvious. 

I have a chameleon ihd6 and it seems to work ok finally but now the temperature indicator on the home screen keeps flashing.does anyone know why it does this or what it means ? any help much appreciated
