Plenty of land but small property - could a ground source heat pump work?

I have plenty of land but an old small property. Can a ground source heat pump system have all the controls, etc outside with just the supply and return pipes going into the property?

You’ll need to find room for a hot water cylinder indoors, though that can be a garage or loft.
