Not with OVO but I’ve found the forum very helpful previously so posting here if anyone has any ideas. EDF have no idea what I’m talking about… New property (to me) which is being renovated soon. Had SMETS2 meters installed a couple weeks ago, and an isolation switch today - both installs organised by EDF but carried out by their contractor. After the isolation switch was installed and everything reengerised, the reactive kv light is constantly lit on the meter. Installer said “that’s normal” and left. Any idea why this would be? Initially thought due to not having much of a load on the meter, but even when running a heater, the kvarh light stays lit. Image of the thing I’m seeing below:

Can anyone with a Cupra Born (V2) confirm that it works with Charge Anytime. I don’t have a compatible charger (Hypervolt).I’m buying a Cupra soon, and really want to be able to charge at 7p a unit. thank you

Hu, newbie here. didnt read the Privacy Notice to begin with but when did, was upmost confused. as did not underst most of what was being said. Spent a few days on the ICO website guidance, and phoned them more than a few times to get some understanding. They basically said that anything, and mostly everything in an Account is personal data, not just your name and address, but everything in the Account, and calls, especially as they are recorded by OVO. They said because of that everyone answering the phone in OVO has to at the very least be a lawful representative under the GDPR. But all I ever do is get through to Philippes or South Africa and they do not seem to even know what a Controller is, let alone how ot who to transfer a call to if you are exercising any of the rights in the gdpr. did try using the email address in the Provacy Notice and just got a generic reply from someone, so no help there.Anyone know who in OVO you can talk to about gdpr. Hopefully theres nothing to be concerned about but…..Had a SMETS2 meter for about 9 months with SEB and its always worked fine, as has the IHD. Have recently been switched to OVO and suddenly Im being told my account is not getting readingsIs there a usual ‘bedding in time’ so to speak? Lights on the meter are all flashing green every 5 seconds, and the IHD usage reading are updating as normalYes I can supply manual readings I guess, but it rather defeats the point Hopefully Im jumping the gun and it will sort itself out, but thought it best to askTIA

i have got hourly consumption data but that shows unbelievable i am using more power at 3am, any ideas how this can be?  I dont have night storage heaters or anything like that and im asleep at that time… 

Can anyone tell me what these particular settings mean please see photo 1 of FTC6 controller (I am still on the ASHP learning curve) - I am trying to grapple with whether the Flow Temperature settings are too high/too low/just right. At the moment the outside temperature during the day has been about 18 degrees, at night we have been having near freezing temperatures. See photo 2 from Melcloud. My system is set to run 24/7 which I believe is the most economical way - low and slow. I have been having the room control set to 17 in the day and I have put it up to 18 in the evening during my off peak hours. if I move it up or down it’s only by half a degree.  My problem is that I previously had old storage heaters and this thing is using a fraction of the electricity that they were using, so all the angst about 2.5kwh usage on this forum seems irrelevant to my situation. I have a 2 year old (electric) Renault Zoe and I have our own car charger.. After installing the charge anytime app, everyhting went haywhire. First of all, after waking up the next day I could not get into the car - tried both remote keys. Had to extractthe emergency metal key to open front doors. It was evident the 12V battery was flat. Opened the bonnet and confirmed the 12 Volt battery showed about 5V instead of c 12.7 volt. Called Reneault emergency and was directed to RAC who came 7 hours later and confimed battery flat. They gave a quick charge and after 15 minutes all was well. (The car range was shown as 170 miles).Meanwhile when I plugged my hybrid care into same chager it was not recognised and I could not charge it without “re-booting” the charger by switching the power off then on agin to thecharger. never happened before.Next day, went to look at the Zoe to fin all dorrs unlocked and all lights on both in car and the navigation lights! After 7 days of continuously calling no one still has any answers one week ago ovo instructed someone to enter my home, to change my meter. I am not in debt and have had no letters as to why this is or was happening I have been in this house 8 months and have paid every month for my gas and electric....no one seems to have any answers as to why or who gave the order to do so....I am at my wits end trying to get answers and no one will get back to meAnd to top it off I went to go and top up the key at a payment and it doesn't work ... 

Hi. In 2022, I was moved, not by me, from SSE to OVO.  Subsequently, that year, I did not receive the Warm Homes Discount, despite having received it both before and since.  Is there any way I can fight my case to get reimbursed, pls?   I no longer have my letter of entitlement.   Thank you.   Kind regardsDebbie

What is the contact number for OVO, and why do they not advertise this. It seems incredibly difficult to speak to someone at OVO, a problem I've not had with other suppliers.  

My son has just moved into a new house and we’re trying to understand the meter - see photo of Landis/Gyr+ E470.  Is this a smart meter (and if so what type)?  It shows one reading and indicates the amount of credit on the account.  Does it also cover gas?  Should there also be a home display (the previous owner has not left one)?  How do we find out who is supplier and register new owner if previous owner has not provided details?It looks like the meter was installed in 2020 by SSE - does that mean its now with OVO?Many thanks 

Currently been using the OVO charge anytime system for over six months now. Everything looks to work ok, the schedule charging is controlling the cars well and always charging when needed. However the OVO charge anytime app always seems to be 2 to 3 KW short on every charge Vs the info from the car and the charger shows. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know where the Anytime app gets it data from to say how many KW it has used to charge the car.  For extra info currently charge a Tesla M3 and PHEV Mini. Both are always out by 2 to 3 KW on the car apps and charger data.

Hi there, New to the community but have read numerous posts on this subject and have learnt a lot in the process!Brief history is that I bought an EV, moved to OVO so as to benefit from favourable EV tariff, have been trying to get a Smart Meter installed since May, constantly get fobbed off with e-mails/conversations like the one below and am no further forward.  I live six miles from Colchester, not in the NW of Scotland.Aside from the fact that I think the e-mail below is appalling - who is going to understand a mail like this without the technical knowledge required - what I would like to know from the amazing people on this forum is this:Is it so unusual that a T3 aerial would be required for installation (if this indeed is what they mean by “an issue relating to T3 aerial”)?  Is this for installer to provide?  Could I purchase one so that there would then be one less problem?  Is it a genuine excuse to cancel the installation appointment?The mail says that it would require the DC

Got up this morning to find my smart meter gas reading was not showing.  Heating been on all day but total on IHD is zero.  Checked readings on my account but also no readings.  Electricity is fine.  Will this fix itself or do I have to contact Ovo?

How to submit a SAR

I'm thinking of installing an Air Source Heating Pump which obviously will increase my electricity usage but massively decrease my gas usage. At the moment, I have a Farmhouse cooker (came with the house when I moved in) and I very rarely use the ovens or grill as I have an Air Fryer. I do, however use the gas hob, not much though as I live alone and tend to make curries, stews etc. in a huge pot and then freeze it so I'm probably lucky if I turn a gas ring on once a week.  Anyway, if I get a Heat Pump, I'm going to be forking out roughly £100 a year for a gas standing charge while probably only using about £50, or less, in gas. I could get rid of my cooker and buy a completely electric cooker but, A; that's an additional expense I don't need and B; unless I bought another Farmhouse cooker (much more expensive than the size of cooker I actually need), I'm going to have a huge space in my kitchen next to a smaller cooker. I have a Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 630 boiler paired with a megaflo eco systemfit unvented cylinder.  My gas usage is nearly 3 times my colleagues who has a combi boiler (they have a much larger house, more occupants and has a gas hob and oven). My gas usage is solely for hot water/heating.  My system is managed through the nest app and my water is heating for a total of 4.5 hours a day (I don’t have hot water whenever I want). I went on holiday for a week, turned my system off and it still charged me for all but 2 days of the 7 I was away.  We’ve had no heating on and only the hot water scheduled for the times mentioned above. My usage is around 800-850kWh per month.  I live with my boyfriend and two year old.  I’ve spoken to so many people who can’t find the issue - can anyone help?! I was looking for information on how to reset the budget on my IHD. Looking at the OVO website I find that the policy appears to be to fit the IHD6 but I have an IHD3 even though it was fitted a couple of months ago. There appear to be a lot more useful features on the IHD6 which I want to use. I cant find out how to get the unit upgraded. Any suggestions please. David

We have been seeing incredibly high gas usage for the last few months or so, even when no one is in the house. We’ve not even had our heating on yet and it’s mid December because we are so concerned about the usage clocking up just using the boiler for hot water. For example on Sunday no one was home between the hours of 4.30pm-11.30pm and we clocked up around 60kwh of usage according to the OVO app:For reference I live in a moderately sized 4 bedroom flat, in a block of 5 flats. We are currently only using the gas for hot water for showers or washing up.Temperatures are now below freezing so we want to put our heating on but with the extra usage clocking up our bill is already unmanageable and we are lost at what to do next. Can anyone offer any advice?

Can I challenge a meter reading dispute result? OVO suggest that my meter readings don’t match up with their estimated readings. They opened up a ‘meter reading dispute’ to challenge my original meter reading when I switched from British Gas. The conclusion of the dispute it that they say my original meter reading must have been much lower than the one I gave which means I now owe them a large additional sum. However, despite this, I have photographic evidence of my meter reading that proves that my meter reading was much higher than they say at the time I switched. I have sent all these photos to OVO but they simply ignore my emails. How on earth can I challenge this incorrect finding? Please help

I have a traditional ie non smart Economy 10 meter with digital readings. Is Rate 1 peak Rate and Rate 2 of peak?

I regularly set Charge Anytime to charge my car by 7:30am and it works perfectly.  If I look at the Renault App it shows that a scheduled charge is set up, but it bears no relation to the time that my car charges.Is there some kind of special magic going on?
