I have moved into a flat and removing storage heaters to fit electric radiators. However the circuit is on economy 7 and sockets dont work daytime. I know I can get an electrician to alter the fuseboard but it runs through the economy 7 meter so would need that removed?

Hi my online account daily usage amount is not updating it is still the same as the opening amount at the beginning of the month. Looking at the smart meter readings they have been updated daily. Is there a reboot that can be done.  It’s clearly an IT matter not a meter problem.

At the end of my current billing period I send a current meter reading online. Then I wait for 24 hours giving time for my bill to be calculated before then paying the required amount through my online account. Monitoring my payment through my bank the payment takes at worst 24 hours. It is then with extreme annoyance that after a delay of between 3-6 days I receive an email statement saying that I owe an amount which is always slightly different to the one I have just paid.My query is having worked in computer software for over 35 years and fully realising the speed that the modern banking systems work, why does my payment take so long to get from my bank to being recognised by OVO’s accounting system. Could the answer be that when dealing with millions of accounts, any even small delay, can accrue significant interest just by holding onto the money in a different account.In this modern world I find that being told that I owe an amount of money that I paid several days earlier is extr

Back in November, I was erroneously transferred to Octopus Energy and have been experiencing numerous problems ever since. I wont bore you with all the details because it would take too long but I am left with one problem which OVO seems incapable of solving: I had an old email account which I changed because of spam etc. I changed it on my online account as was required but … accounts persist in sending emails to my old email address and don’t seem to be in communication with the rest of OVO. In spite of many phone calls, I received an email yesterday saying OVO was sorry I was leaving !!! to my old email address. This was exactly what started all my problems in the first place.Is there any way I can speak directly to a real person in accounts so that I can finally sort this mess out?

Hi, My smart meter has a thirty minute delay between the E7 rate being applied and the E7 power being switched. This means I am only getting six and a half hours at E7 rate and worse When the meter switches back to the day rate the E7 power does not switch off for a further thirty minutes so my water heaters and storage radiators are charged at the peak rate for half an hour. I have contacted OVO and done all the checks on the meter they required but have not been offered a solution. This is costing me money. I only realised what was happening recently but believe the problem has been with me either since I had the meter installed or switched to OVO both over two years ago. Has anyone else had this problem and what can I do to get OVO to rectify this. to date I have just been fobbed off by the helpline staff who either don’t grasp the problem or don’t want to admit it exists,

I have a 3-phase 200Amp supply. KVA is 101 and I need to have a CT meter installed. This is for a single house which is using only electricity (no gas). I have EV chargers, heat pumps etc. Can OVO install a CT meter and offer me a domestic tarrif?

I'm on pay monthly direct debit. I decided to make an extra payment to put more money in my account. Usually it shows within a couple of hours but it still isn't showing. That was 2 days ago. Why hasn't my credit balance been updated?I talked to a customer service rep using the online chat after getting past the bot but got the same response i.e. talk to another department tomorrow. I experienced this last summer being sent into an eternal loop of being passed from the department to department and It took hours and hours and many weeks until it was sorted, always been told “give it a couple of days.”My bank account statement shows that ovo has taken the money from my bank account. I had smarts meters installed on Thursday. Instant, shattering regret as my central heating was cut off. On the coldest night if the year. Customer services were obstructive and determined to deny any responsibility. I spoke with three altogether but kept being told it was my responsibility and I must call out an emergency heating engineer. It was 6pm next day when I finally got someone to reignite the pilot light on my back boiler and I was the tenth customer that day that he'd tended in the same predicament -installed meters, heating off, left in the lurch. He had just come from a household of a woman with two young children in freezing conditions and was going to his eleventh customer of the day after me. He was outraged by Ovo's attitude and didn't know how much he should charge people, was leaving it up to them. Last year I was told ovo would send me electric throws but they never arrived and no one was able to tell me what was happening or who to contact do I need to just give up

Hello,New user here...…Just charged from my new podpoint last night, plugged in at 2100 and plugged out at 0800.Both my car and podpoint apps show 25kwh put in at 30.45p therefore roughly £8.The charge anytime figures are showing 14.9 kwh and £3. Are theses figures both savings figures ?Can I take it that some of my overnight session was at normal rate as at £8, I would have thought a £5 saving would be shown ? Cheers Paul

I have problem to set up chargeanytime app. Specifically I can't connect to my Mercedes vehicle ID to Kaluza. I tried many times but I failed  , the ID can't be recognised. Could you advise ?Thanks   

Hi, this morning I spoke to a member of the pay as you go team to make the switch which they completed. I have since tried topping up on the app but nothing went onto my meter,I even tried topping up manually with the top up code but nothing. I called the team and they said it could take 24 hours to activate however my smart meter already sais it’s on prepaid mode…any help would be appreciated seb

Hi, our set up solar panels (had for 10 years and never any issues with old traditional meter -  no actual recorded export as on old style tariff where assumed 50% of generation exported), battery since July 2023 - again no issues with the old meter, but battery and solar panel apps have shown significantly less exported since battery installed as hoped for. We had a smart meter installed 19th January and have been able to see the half hourly readings are being collected by OVO since the day it was installed via our account page on the OVO website so it looks like the meter is communicating with OVO - but it looks like the meter readings are being processed by OVO back to front (likewise on the display in the kitchen).  Our solar panel iPhone app (Enphase) show we have imported approx 96KwH since the meter was installed and exported 1.7 or so (battery means really not exporting any at this time of year).  The meter is showing a -A value of 99KwH and +A value of 1 KwH.  Assume these are

Hi,I had a smart meter installed on Friday and since then my immersion heater has not been heating up overnight. I’m on an economy 7 tarrif and the meter installed is a 5 terminal meter. The meter shows two rates and both meter readings have changed so it appears to be recording energy use on both tarriffs. Nothing has been tripped and I’ve also tried resetting the immersion heater but still no hot water. The boost function still works though. Has anyone had a similar experience/know what a fix might be?Thanks!

Hi there, I’ve been looking at some of the data coming from my EcoDan system. Something you can see here just looking at the tank temp maroon line at the top (chart is last 24 hours of time). At around midnight the HW temp falls to about 40 degrees which triggers the pump to bring it back up to 50. The temp then falls back across late night / early morning. Given I know no one is going to use the HW until 7am, is heating up at midnight a waste? It seems like that intially, but then you have to factor in that the tank temp would still fall further if not reheated at midnight.  Wondering if I could / should stop the HW heating up at midnight? (Of course if I had a nighttime elec tariff this could be a better strategy) 

I need to change the time that my Alcara smart meter switches ON/OFF the Economy 7 output - my new tariff has different times for the of-peak rate.  I have a 5-port meter.I think this is accessed through the engineering menu - what is the passcode for this menu?  Can the times be changed remotely by the energy supplier?

I added £70 to my account on Wednesday, after getting the keys to my new house. We were not officially moved in as such until last night, and my IHd is reading emergency credit? And so is outside, but I cannot fathom how 70 pound worth of electric has been used when nothing was turned on till last night?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
