Does anyone have the equation to work out the KWH from a meter reading for both gas and electric. Please.

A bit confused as to the right details about this,what are the cheapest times using electric.

Hi, I’ve received a text message from Ovo saying they have arranged a “SMART appointment”. Can any one explain what a SMART appointment is please?

This Power Move Plus is getting a joke now the first one I had to get under 0.5 than it was 0.3 now it's 0.2 i see a pattern emerging here next it will be 0.0 if I wasn't able to achieve it at 0.3 why do there think i can at 0.2. It's like it's been set up to fail.OVO seems to be the only energy company that is going for low % most other companies have just asked customers to try to reduce there energy to lower than they would usually use for the time allocated.

I prefer to use the “classic” 3-button navigation system on my Android 14 smart phone.When in the Ovo app, the navigation buttons on the bottom line are white on a white background. I had to look very hard just to find them on first usage.Does anyone else find this as inconvenient as I do? Could we have, say, green buttons? Please?

Why has my OVO app layout changed in last 24 hrs?

I take part in Power Move and usually achieve some sort of return. It has changed when I use energy, trying to move away from heavy demand during peak times.Since owning an EV, this has had an impact on Power Move. I use the ChargeAnytime app to obtain discounted energy for the EV. It does not care about the time of day for charging, simply when energy in the grid is at its greenest (from my current understanding). Given that ChargeAnytime integrates with an EV charger or the EV itself why does it not automatically schedule charging to also avoid these times?When we get back from work (usually between the 4 and 7 window) we just plug the car in. Just seems like a really simple change to assist spreading energy demand.

Hi, I was looking for repair parts for my Solis coffee machine and came across the following discussion: https://forum.ovoenergy.com/topic/show?tid=14671&fid=138So, if I understood correctly, I can link my Solis appliances to a specific app? Or is the Solis app mentioned in the discussion something different? I’m quite new to the smart home topic and would love to learn more about it. My question may not be relevant to this forum, but I’m running out of options and would like to inquire about where to find repair parts for my machine (with shipment to the Netherlands). I was able to find the heating element on FixPart, but the brewing unit is currently out of stock. Would someone be able to help me with these questions?  

Hello. I’m getting a bit fed up with with OVO increasing our monthly direct debit - especially after we paid a £200 lump sum in.  We’re on the Simpler Energy Variable Plan having come in from SSE. Is it feasible to set up a monthly bank transfer & to cancel monthly direct debits? PS. The new OVO Fixed Plan costs are shocking hence not wanting to go anywhere near those.

I had solar panels installed at the end of last year and was able to provide an initial export balance reading to OVO in January. I am, however, now having difficulty obtaining a current reading.I have followed the following recommended sequence:Press and hold the grey middle button until the main menu loads. ‘General’ should appear on-screen – press and hold the middle button again to select this option. ‘Time & Date’ should now be visible – use the bottom button to scroll until TOU Registers appears on screen. Press and hold the middle button again, and you should now see ‘Cum. Exp.’ with a value underneath it. This is your export reading. However, when I reach Stage 4 I can only find an Import Reading and there is no sign of an Export Reading.Can anyone help?David 

Hello,Indra recently released a new smart charger. Indra LUX. I believe this is the upgraded version of the Indra Pro.  Is OVO supporting this charger with the Charge Anytime EV tarif? thank you

Today I have reached a milestone, my 20th phone call, covering 9 hours, 18 minutes and 10 seconds, in trying to finalise my FIT account.  I have had excuses of:We can not open the format of the documents you sent. We dont have the documents you sent. Some of the information is not in the right format. Here is your SEG application case number ( but not finalised at OVO’s end). Here is your complaint number, you wil be contacted within 48 hours.  ( the complaint was not actioned/finalised) You need to send a photo of the your meter ( it was a brand new system strting at “000000” back in november) as a staring point for any back dated payments.This is complete chaos, as a cusomte of OVO from 2015, I have never been treated this way.  This has been ongoing since my Solar panel installation in October 2022.Any ideas please?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Have been using charge anytime with my Audi q8 etron for the past few months with no issues. Then last night I open the app and it says my car needs to be on software 3669 or later. My car is on version 4014. I have tried removing and re adding the car but still get the same message. Meaning I can't use the app to charge at all 

If the Ohme charger reports it adjusted the time, does this mean I am paying a higher rate? I have two cars one is a completely electric and the other is a plug in hybrid. I have my charge schedule to 100% but the plug in hybrid will do a complete charge in 90 minutes. However it is such a pain to change car every time that I don’t bother. The credit I get seems to be low compared to the ohnme report, how do I know if I am using the higher rate?  

HiI just recently had an Indra charger installed by Ovo.I have Solar PV.I have enabled solar on the Indra Web App.There is now an option called ‘Solar Matching Mode’I assume i need to tick this to allow my car to be charged by Solar.I have a concern about the sentance in the FAQ ‘Once charging from Solar begins, we wont stop until your car is full, even if that means topping up from the grid during peak times’So i assume that means if not enough solar energy it will switch to grid.  But this would be like pressing boost wont it?  So i will be charged at full rate, not the Charge Anytime rate?If thats the case i will leave this unticked, can anyone confirm?

I recently moved out of rental and now have an issue with my landlord related to electricity bills.When I checked in originally, the landlord gave me clear instructions to use the elec meter under the stairs and the gas meter in the side passage. As usual I registered with a supplier and continued to pay monthly bills like normal. Never another issue during the rental and the energy supply account is now closed, all happy.I ended my tenancy recently and the landlord has suddenly raised an issue with my deposit saying I didn't register a second elec meter. One that was hidden an unused storage cupboard. I'm being told that some of the wiring is split in the house so there is a separate meter. I was never told about this second meter and have no idea what it connects to etc.Im waiting for the energy supplier to investigate now but playing it out in my mind, if there is another meter and I didn't register it because was never told about it, then I have no evidence to fall back on to the l

Hi - I am on Ovo Charge Anytime user and love the tariff.I'm in a flat for a little while that doesn't have a charger, but have a socket available in the car park that's on a Kasa smart socket. I've built some code to switch the socket off when I leave, and switches on if the car is parked and needs charging.What would be really handy is if there was an API to Charge Anytime to get the next available time slot, to predict if I need anrapid charge or a priority charge.  

Does your smart meter have to be plugged in all the time? I turn the display thing off sometimes to plug other things in. Will this affect OVO getting my readings? Thanks

Since the 1st October, my smart meter tracker has been showing unusual values. Have phoned ovo numerous times, but still getting the same answer which is, still having glitches. I want someone to come and have a look at my meter, but not getting any joy. 

Hi there.To set the scene…..My partner was an OVO customer in her old rented house. Even though I eventually moved in with her, the OVO bill stayed solely in her name, as it always had.In Feb 2022 we got our first house together. We moved on Feb 14th and our tenancy ended on March 1st. My partner contacted OVO as she wished to take the account with us - but they wouldn’t offer the same tariff, so she told them we were leaving the property and wanted to cancel. She paid off the outstanding on the account, along with an extra month or so as we weren’t quite at the end of the contract.Fast forward to mid-August. We’ve been moved 6 months, and I get a letter from OVO in my name (odd, as I’ve never been an OVO customer, they’ve never had my details). It was sent to the old address, and luckily only found its way to me as Royal Mail are still redirecting. If not for that, I wouldn’t even know about this.The letter was a bill in my name for energy usage (not very much, mostly standing charge

I am currently paying by DD and have built up a credit of in excess of £500. I’m on the standard variable price cap rate for gas and electricity. I appreciate that this is going to increase and also that it’s summer so I will be using far less energy than in winter and the idea of DD is to pay a fixed amount over 12 months to cover the usage. I however resent OVO holding on to my money and I would rather it be sitting in my own bank account. If I cancel my DD and pay by bank transfer/card each month on receipt of bill for exact monthly usage will I end up paying any more? What I mean is, OVO obviously prefer DD so are there any additional charges/increase in tariff if I don’t pay by DD? 

Hi, I’ve had problem with no meter readings being sent since start of December . OVO sent engineer, he replaced both meters 24th January. Gas meter readings being sent ok, but not electricity readings. Phoned OVO , said I must wait 6 weeks to see if it miraculously sorts itself. I said , no electricity smart meter readings sent since early December. Also I’ve lost out on Powersave, as they don’t have the readings. Anyone help ? 

I'm looking at the app and trying to get a refund. The app is asking for a meter reading, even though my smart meter is supplying a daily reading. The app now doesn't show me how much refund I can get, however it did until a couple of weeks ago when I last checked. 

Was with SSE years ago and basically I transfered over to Octopus energy as my bills where coming in at around £280 pcm pre pandemic. I am single occupancy in a 2 bed flat, I am out all day all sockets turned off. I also have no heating at all in flat there was storage heaters In flat but they where removed by HA. I still have 1 on kitchen wall but that is turned off at main swithboard and has never been used. I also tend to go straight into my bedroom when I get home to chill out. Anyways when I switched I recived an email of customer service from Sse regarding my meter being faulty in that email it clearly stated I was on economy 10. When octopus took over by the emails I recived from them on joining up they did not get a final read from sse so they used an estimated read taking it from the last actual meter reading provided by SSE. The meter I had at time was not a smart meter. When octopus took over the account they put me on economy 7. My question is when moving from economy 10 to
