I have just got an email from OVO offering a home visit to my home for #25.00Did anyone else get this?The link to book the offer doesn’t workThey won’t answer the phone.Has anyone got any idea how you book this offer?

Hi all, I’ve been looking at the possibility of getting an EV in the future but we have a few issues with how we will be able to charge it. Firstly our house is in a small close set back away from the road with no possibility to get power from the house to the car if it’s parked on the road unless I drape a 50m long cable across all my neighbours’ front gardens.Secondly we have a parking space and a garage which is part of a row of garages for the whole close, but this is again away from the house and there’s no way to get power from the house to the garage without going through other peoples’ homes!My question is would it even be possible to have an EV charger installed on my garage or anywhere I can use it? I’ve thought about maybe solar panels on the garage but with it being on a row would I be able to get permission, and would it even provide enough power for what I need? I’ve searched this issue all over the internet but haven’t found a solution to this particular setup, so any th

Hi,Have recently been switched from THTC to Economy 10 because of the RTS signal switch off and have a new smart meter.I also have storage heaters that are switched by the meter to come on and go off at the rate change. At present although the rate changes at the specified times the heaters themselves are not coming on until about nine minutes later and conversely are running on past the rate change by nine minutes. Does this mean I am paying those 9 minutes at the higher rate ?If so how can I get the times for switching off the heater circuit to be in line with the rate change as this is set in the meter?Does anyone else have this problem, and what is the answer?Any help would be appreciated.

Why, when I have a smart meter, which shows the exact amount of money I have used on gas and electricity, is it not possible for OVO to have a variable direct debit where they take the exact amount I owe each month rather than a fixed amount? Could it be because OVO wants to earn interest on all the money it has collected from thousands of customers who have overpaid and are in credit?  This must add up to a significant sum of free money that OVO earns for doing nothing other than taking more than is owed from thousands of customers. Surely the purpose of the smart meter is to show the usage in real time, so DDs should also be set on realtime use rather than a best guess averaged out over a year where OVO earns interest on customer’s money rather than customer’s earning interest on their money. 

I’ve tried to top up my PAYG smart electricity meter today as I have nearly run out of credit but I get a message saying Meter Top Up Failure. Is there a problem with topping up today? Can’t get through to anyone on the phone. Thanks for any help. 

The app won't let me log in and my account through the browser is as following. Why is this? Yes I've created the storage usage/cache in the app and yes I've cleared my browser. The last screenshot IE the 4th is the app. Fyi fwiw I'm signed up to and partake it in Power Move. 

Started both Power Move and Power Move Flex in October. Looking at my most recent bill I see at the bottom in Other Charges there is - Power Move Subscription 14th-1st November, including 5% VAT £0.00 Power Move Subscription (includes 5% VAT) £0.00  Does this mean Ovo intend to start charging customers to take part in these in future? So far I've not gained enough to continue with these if that happens.

Just realised I haven’t received any update from my Power Move progress, checked online and turns out it’s all been transferred to the app. Fine with me but would’ve been nice to know. Thing is, there’s nothing about Power Move in there? Fairly sure I meet the requirements, Smart meter, single rate, half hourly readings.  Can anyone shed some light on this one please?

I asked support if they could provide hourly or ½ hourly gas usage date for the prior year as I need this for analysis for optimizing a heat pump set up. They informed me they only have it by day. I am currently embarking on the arduous task of copying and pasting this from the online usage data into an EXCEL file day by day!! Has anyone else asked for a similar data file or found a easy way to extract this data?

This is a question for some technical advice on V2G with the Nissan LEAF. I have been on the V2G scheme now for almost 5 years using firstly a 40kW Leaf and then 2, 62kW LEAFs including my present one. I have the original Indra charger and am exporting 450-500 kW per month to The Grid. I am looking at replacing my present LEAF for the new LEAF…however it’s not expected to be launched till late 2025 or early 2026. The present 62 kW LEAF is no longer in production for new orders. The new LEAF will also be equipped with an onboard inverter capable of V2G but is expected to be fitted with CCS connector (Not yet confirmed). The question is can my present charger be converted via a new CCS connector or adapter (I’ve seen someone in Holland who’s developed a ChaDeMo to CCS connector plug) to work with the new LEAF or will I have to get a completely new charger? I appreciate it’s one of those “Wait and see” questions but just floating the question now…

Has anybody else experienced brownout in the evenings? All summer we have had occasional dimming lights, now its winter we’re experiencing BIG problems charging appliances and especially with electronics in the evenings.my phones and tablet charge fine untll evening when they refuse to charge at all. i dont think chargers that worked before, now work on and off depending on their mood. then work perfectly in daytime!I didnt know what brownout was but in the carrebean it used to happen daily as their generator couldnt supply enough power for the demand. they got a bigger one since then.is there anything i could purchase to help with the problem?

Hi all! I’m a conscript grime SSE. I have Eco10 with a Landis and Gyr meter. I have storage heating.the heating is added in to the normal circuit by a contractor fitted at the same time as the smart meter.The economy rate is switching in and out either early or late depending on how it feels. I could only tell it was switching in or out by the clonk. There is no indicator of which rate is active. I’ve now got a bulb to indicate on economy. I’ve now got a timer on economy so I can see active economy hours.I'm only actually getting 9 hours of economy rate instead of 10. Not a good start. I ignored the sudden £5000 debt for now.I know a lot of you are volunteers so I appreciate your help. 🙈 

Why do standing charges differ between contacts by the same supplier? The cost of maintaining the infrastructure does not change whether I choose a year to 2 year fixed contract or go for a variable contract. Prices may differ by suppliers, but should not differ in one suppliers contracts.

Has anyone ever got any response from the OVO Charge Anytime team?? I raised a ticket ages agoFailed to chargeIt is very frustrating when you expect your car to be ready with a full battery in the morning only to find out that all night OVO CHARGE ANYTIME DID NOT SCHEDULE ANY SESSION. AAAAARRRRHHHHHHH. A very regular occurrence. Am I the only one ?

Hi everyone,I'm new to OVO and recently moved into a brand-new house, and I'm the first person to live here. My latest bill, starting on the 3rd, shows an increase in energy consumption by 2 kWh compared to the first month. I haven’t changed any of my electricity usage habits, and I don’t care about the 2 kWh increase, but I’d like to know the reason.  

Is anyone having trouble with asking the Alexa App.to open (launch) Ovo Power Nap.  I used to be able to open it, but it now stopped. 

Has anyone received their results for October ???  I hit the max the max target  every month since the start of this, but I haven't heard ANYTHING about the results for October !!!!  Before, we'd get the results almost straight away !!!  I called OVO and I'm definitely signed up for the Power Move (haven't heard anything about the Flex thingy!!!) but no results!!!  I know I hit max target !!!!  Any advice would be appreciated!!!  Thanks !!! I have a new electrical connection to my garage installed by UKPN and have an MPAN ready for a meter to be installed as part of this new connection. OVO are my energy provider for my house so I’m starting here.How do start this process of requesting the meter?

Hi Just wondering if someone can help. Looking at the average household of our size ( 2 / 3 bedroom bungalow) monthly bill for an OVO customer on a google search is £49.00  l am worried that something is wrong when we are paying a monthly direct debit of £480? Any advice. We don’t think we are heavy energy users but our kWh seems inordinately high and has done for a while.

It also seemed to require me to sign in via my “Google Account” whatever that is?  (I’ve managed for seven and ¾  decades without one of these, so why should I let a global multinational intrude on my life now?  It also asked me to verify I am human via a visual puzzle (misspelt CAPCHA or KETCHAP or something like that) which involved identifying “crossovers” (which I guess is Yankee for zebra crossings?) in a grid of ind

Hi can someone please help. I live in a flat with another flat above. Next to my fuse box is a very old looking box and some very dodgy looking textile wires going upstairs. I'm concerned being such old equipment it my cause fire. I'm trying to find out if anyone knows what that box is and who is responsible replacing it? Also can the wires into it be replaced by normal electrician or does it need supplier to do it? Thanks Susie
