I’ve tried to top up my PAYG smart electricity meter today as I have nearly run out of credit but I get a message saying Meter Top Up Failure. Is there a problem with topping up today? Can’t get through to anyone on the phone. Thanks for any help.

Paypoint has been struggling recently for some reason. If it keeps failing, please let Support know.

Tried again just now, same problem :(

Could it be due to my switch from SSE to OVO?

It’s a bank holiday weekend, nobody is answering anything!


Has finally let me make a payment today. At least I didn’t get cut off.


I'm having issues today and it's via iPhone app says its doing essential maintenance have used card to top up but not showing on smart meter and been over 3 hours now nearly out of credit and still got meal to cook
