We have recently had a new meter installed because of the RTS shutdown. We are now on Economy 10 previously being on THTC and have quantum storage heaters.  I have my heaters set to come on at certain times of the day. With Economy 10 do my heaters come on automatically at off peak times or do I have to set this up with my heaters to coincide with the off peak times? 

 Four days ago I selected 30 min readings for my electricity.My account is still showing daily readings.Do I need to wait a bit longer, or is this a fault ?    

Hi, I bought an electric vehicle in April this year. I can see in the app and on hard copy bills that there is a line with ‘Charge Anytime Credit’. The corresponding figure is negative, presumably showing money saved. I want to find out how much of my total bill is actually from charging the car. There seems to be no way of finding this out, other than calculating it manually (not that easy). OVO must know this figure in order to provide the credit figure. Spoke to OVO and they couldn’t find a way to identify the car charging cost either. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

We have a Mitsubishi Ecodan pump to do hot water and underfloor heating. Generally we are very happy with it but we're slightly surprised about how quickly the water tank loses heat. Here is a graph - the "room temperature" is actually the temperature of the cupboard that all the kit is all crammed into (it's very small and a tight fight). The house is brand new so is generally very well insulated - should I expect the pump to have to come on every 12 hours or so? Is this normal? Here we didn't use any hot water at all from 8pm to 7am. 

We had our gas supply cut off, meter removed and capped pipes more than a year ago. we have just been told by Cadent that more work is necessary. They need to cut off supply away from the house and that this will involve working on our neighbour’s supply and disturbing their driveway and installing a new meter fro them. Is this a legal requirement? previous involvement with Cadent has not been very good.Any advice will be welcomeBryan Cook

Just got my second email update.  I got credited with 7 plug in sessions for the first 3 weeks and 6 in the fourth.  I have been plugging my car in in the afternoon/ early evening then again overnight so was expecting > 7 sessions each week.  The last week we were away overnight from early Friday until late Saturday so missed the 12:00 on Friday to 12:00 on Saturday slot.  It therefore looks like you can only get one 3 hour session credited per day. Can someone confirm this?Cheers.By the way its the easiest Power Move to get rewarded for by far.

I thought it might be useful to report my experience with car charging, it’s a bit of a saga but might give others some things to be aware of.i bought an OHME charger through OVO and it was installed by plugin. The charger was installed in my garage to avoid some security issues and avoiding plug in in the rain.cars charged O.K. But I noticed that the charger frequently went off line. This meant that about 25% of my charge sessions were not being reported to OVO which in turn meant I was losing about £20 a month in “rebate”.After months of challenging, and trying different things I found that if I left my garage door open, the charger stayed on line. Plug in then came to site and moved the charger to the outside wall. success, no more loss of data.i then realised that the charger never now went over 3.5 kW whereas previously it would go to 7.started a new moan with OVO, OHME and plug in. Checked the cars etc and tried them on other chargers, no problem.This was July.on 2nd October, plu

Until September when my account was finally ‘migrated ‘ by OVO, I gave meter readings for the 2 electricity meters in my house by email as the website hadn’t been accessible since July 2023. Both meters on the one account - one serves most of the building, the other a bit added on in 1930. No problems - 2 meter readings, bit like gas and electric but instead 2 x electric. This was set up in about 2012/13.Now I’ve got 2 accounts and one is in debit and the other in credit and they want me to set up a new DD. i am incensed! OVO seem to have lost the plot!

I joined up to power move and every week it's saying not enough data sent... but I can clearly see there is all the data on my app and also I have set up half hourly readings to be sent... is there really any point in the power move or is it all just a big con?? 

I am currently selling my metered export generation to Scottish Power and wish to move from them to another on the buyer’s list to get a better rate.    I am advised that Scottish Power need to inform the FIT register that my export is now “ negotiated” .I have now been waiting some 3 months for Scottish Power to activate this change and in spite of several complaints have had no joy. My new buyer has had all the relevant paper-work for the transfer which is all in orderAny suggestions as to how to expedite this transfer?

My supply was capped by cadent in January as they were upgrading the pipes in the area (January??!!)and as I have mental health issues, I was unable to allow them access to do whatever it is they needed to do when it's switched back on, So, now I'm capped,  cold,  depressed and I have no help and I never know when I'm able to allow them in (bi-polar with extreme lows).The council have been round (February) for their annual check, they did arrange for cadent to come, but I couldn't handle it. Especially after the engineer called me, was rude, shouting and telling me to contact my gas supplier (ovo). I guess my question is, help?Any advice, suggestions, anything I can do at short notice when I'm 'awake'?

I have a Tesla but no longer have the premium connectivity. I want to charge the Tesla up at the barn which will have no WiFi. Will the charge anytime work in this situation?

Anybody know who SJN are, and their contact details? They were supposed to come and replace my soon-to-be-obsolete Telemeter on Wednesday. Ovo can only tell me that the electrician from SJN reported that the “client cancelled prior to appointment”. Downright lie. Just spent an hour trying to rearrange this appointment. Soonest is December - given I have been asking OVO to do this since February I’m not happy having to wait another six weeks when I didn’t cancel this appointment. 4 previous appointments were cancelled by OVO as made in error but I was quite hopeful for this appointment, don’t know why.The first OVO rep told me it was SMS who had been asked to come out - I contacted SMS who said they had no record. Called OVO back who said it was a company called SJN (he thought!) but I can’t find any record of them when googling. I’m hoping to contact them direct to book……...SMS would have been happy to book direct with me, had they had my details.

Have the criteria for the warm home discount changed from last year? Last year I received the WHD (albeit from a different supplier) but this year I’m apparently not eligible despite having lost the WFP. 

Hi, we have had the low battery warning indicator on our PAYG meter for a week or so. Spoke to OVO who say, it will have to run down to zero before they will replace? - as they don’t do scheduled call outs and it will have to become an emergency. Don’t like the idea of having to let it run down like that, as it’s unpredictable? Apparently it will start beeping when it gets really low?Also what happens to any remaining credit on the meter if the battery dies? It’s not a smart meter. We wanted to top up before the increase in October?

HiI am an OVO customer and have just ordered my 1st EV.I have been advised about OVO Beyond and that you can bank 100 miles a month.What isn’t explained is, exactly how does this work or get calculated? How do you bank and claim the miles?Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, Can anyone advise on how to remove supply of electric from one house and have independent supply to gates. Situation is,  we have 5 houses in a gated community. For some reason the builders ran the electric supply from one house to a meter at the gate. This has worked ok up to now, the householder is billed in normal way, takes a reading from meter at gate, works out the cost of gate usage and charges the management company (which is the 5 houses). The householder that has the supply now wants to vacate his property and while it’s empty switch off all power at his mains, leaving no power to the gates. He’s not prepared to leave the fuse to gates on. So we need to find best way to get power to the gates. We’ve looked at solar power but been advised that, looking at photos, we won’t have sufficient sun in the area the gates are. Any advice would be gratefully received, thank you

Had smart meter fitted 2 weeks ago apparently takes up to 6 weeks to get your account up to date. Since originally on THTC plan unable to access app as doesn’t support complex meters so still unable to access appwhen logging online found that the energy plan has been changed from THTH to economy 9 in line with the smart meter being fitted However how can it be stated Plan date  year 2000 when this is 2024 am I’m missing something here or is Ovo Energy (Incompetent )only migrated from SSEE last year Also notice that since smart meter fitted apart from the IHD showing tariff and standing charge Why has the standing charge on line not stopped day after smart meter fitted and is still increasing daily Suggesting Two standing charges in operation simultaneously likewise of the energy plan has been changed online you would expect to Now be able to access the app rather than continuing online access to your account   

So, room temp is 19C, I have put the desired temp at 24c. Flow temp I have turned up to 50 to see if that will kick start the heating. No luck.Water is on timer and when forced play, the fan works and water is heated.On the main control panel the heating is showing as restricted and paused, however, when you go into the settings where you can control the heating as on, timer or off, it is showing the play button. Any ideas/thoughts so I don’t have to pay Mitsubishi £300 for a call out? I phoned their helpline and after 20 mins of going through everything, they don’t have a clue.Hoping someone else has experienced the same and has a solution?

Sent email last week to customer service although I got a reply I sent a second email to hello@ovo.com assuming it’s the same department In original email I pointed out that as I have never been able to use app due to THTC meters I can only use online access A smart meter was installed on the 16 th October I notice about 10 days later that as well as the smart meter/IHD displayed the tariffs and standing charge Simultaneously I noticed that the online account is stil increasing the standing charge on a daily basis as well as the smart meter/ ihd  I was told that the online account is halted the day prior to the smart meter being installed  So why the online account still increasing standing charge which in effect produces Two standing charges for the same account Also noticed 10 days later that the online account energy plan was changed from THTC to Economy 9 which is fine but the contract date was Year was 2000 (24 years ago) despite only being migrated across from SSEE a year ago 202

I have two accounts with OVO, which have been migrated to a new account system.  With the old system, I was able to access my online accounts by using the OVO ID (and password) for each account; however, with the new system, I now need to use my email address (and password).  My problem is that both accounts have the same email address, so I can now only gain access to one of my accounts (in other words, the system associates my email address with only one of the accounts, but not the other). As it stands, I  haven’t been receiving bills since August, so I have no idea how much electricity I have been using. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem, or do I need to supply OVO with a different email address for the second account?  Thank you.   

We have recently bought a Jaguar I-Pace, and we have been offered a free EV charger from them, but it is a podpoint. We are now in a quandary as to whether to have OVO fit their charger at cost, but allow OVO anytime, or have Jaguar fit a free one, but not compatible with a Podpoint. Is there any news that OVO may allow podpoint in the future?

New smart meter fitted 11th October along with conversion from THTC to Economy 10 but my Ovo account is not showing any readings for heating and two sets of meter readings in Anytime section.
