Is there room for a smart meter here ?Would I have to get a local electrician to move that doorbell transformer somewhere else (assuming that’s what it is), or is there a smaller version available that a meter man could fit so they could get a smart meter in ? British Gas is the supplier.

Hi there, I am still using the web-based Indra portal to set my charging times with Charge Anytime.  This was the advice given as at the time of installing my charger, a few months ago, as there was a compatibility issue with Kaluza and the latest Firmware of in Indra Smart Pro. Has this issue now been resolved?  If so, can I now download the Indra App and connect my Indra Smart Pro so that I can use with the Charge Anytime tariff to set charging times. Thanks, Gary

Can anyone recommend an economical standalone electric heater? We are thinking this would be a better solution for my husband who works from home than turning on the heating.

Booked a smart meter installation several months ago and an engineer turned up for the appointment. After an initial survey he advised that smart meters could not be fitted in my house because the existing meters were not separated. He then advised that a kit was available to sort this problem but to date I’ve had no follow up. can anyone advise?. Clive

Flex Eventi am happy to try and take part in these events to help out OVO with its energy usage, plus get a minuscule amount in return, still, it’s better than the previous project. Again, this isn’t always a positive experience. I had a power down event. I was away, therefore the only thing on the house was the smart meter and two fridges. Maybe I need to turn them off to earn £0.15p!!My question is, Why send an email at 7.10am informing me of a Flex Event for a period after the qualifying time of 12.00am - 03.00am. I can’t even try to achieve it!Another great idea OVO.

I signed up with ovo as my gas and electricity supplier when I moved into my flat on 20/1/23. I have the welcome email to say they are my new supplier but it turns out they never switched my supply on the national database. I am now getting bills from the previous supplier of the property (utilita) for thousands of pounds of unpaid gas and electricity. I’ve contacted ovo by phone and chat and they agree that they are not my supplier and the conversation gets ended unresolved. I don't know how to proceed from here but if ovo have not been my suppliers then they owe me 20 monthly payments of £143. I’ve made every payment on time and as far as i was aware my energy bills were all paid but thanks to ovo it is *Removed by Mod*. What do I do next?Many Thanks.

Do any Audi owners use MyAudi app with Ovo Charge Anytime? I am having to do constant resets as the MyAudi app overrides charge anytime with random timers.Its driving me crazy! After the usual advice to uninstall/reinstall/update etc etc without improvement, it seems you can’t use the two apps together. But that completely defeats the point of charge anytime!! Why would I want to pay 22p per kWh when I’m signed up for 7p ??

We have a podpoint EV charger installed at home. We are on simple energy tariff with OVO. Can anyone advise the cheapest time to charge my vehicle? We have been advised that our off peak rate for gas and electric is between 12 midnight and 7 am, however when charging my vehicle during this time the rate shown on my smart meter was £1.25 per hour, which seems rather high considering I only got 20 miles charge for 2 hours on my hybrid vehicle 

Hi Everyone, I have been using Ovo long time, pay as use. Last 4 years I have smart meter and last 2 years I am using app to follow what I spend and pay. Everytime I pay more than what I see on the app but some reason every month app shows I have debt from last month! It is weird .  numbers include gas and electrci together. I am aware of increases but it is not about that. August App shows I owe £50 due to usage, I paid in £100.invoice shows £85.September App show I owe £82 due to usage ,I paid in £120 .invoice shows 102 Oct App show I owe £98 due to usage ,I have not paid and invoice is on 24th of Oct and today balance App shows £140 :)  it has been happening last 1 year like that , My usage of month much much less than invoices. I have been thinking maybe I had previous owe but I always use pay as use so not possible.  i felt like their sustem has an issue! Or their hand likes my pocket :) 

Hello,I recently switched to octopus from OVO.I was a pay as go customer for about 6/7 years from when it was SSE and I had a £110 on my in home display meter as balance when the switch happened (the OVO app even says this)I got my final statement through and OVO said "your due a refund" I was like oooh nice I should hopefully get the £110 back as this is what they told me. Opened the statement and apparently I'm only due £48How is this possible? I'm pay as you go, so whatever I have on my meter I've purchased and use in real time.They said that they can see a consumption charge of £50 and a standing charge of £12 which when deducted from the £110 equals £48 (I can do math 😂) this is from the 28 sept to 21 Oct I think they said.I still don't understand though, I don't pay for the last month I used, the next month if that makes sense..if I put the kettle on and it costs £1 then it deductes from the £110... Could someone shed some light on this?Also no debt from emergency credit or anyt

Why does my energy usage not appear in the app some days, sometimes it's 3 or more days behind. Today again the usage for gas and electricity aren't showing. Get fed up keeping phoning up up about it. Years ago at my old house the usuage for the previous day for gas and electricity was in the app first thing in the morning. What's going on now?? 🤷 

I have noticed over the last few days the indra web app is not working, it's just a blank page and nothing loads. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me?

Feel like if you do the maths on that usage throughout the day, it does not come to 10.22 kWh for that 24 hour period. And I’m seeing the same thing for every day.. either I can’t math good, or somethings wrong here as it appears I’m being charged for way more energy than I use every day

I have a Charge Anytime account and my Hyundai is a registered car. My Indra Smart Pro will be installed next month by OVOs technician. How do I transition from my present arrangement in which charging is by reference to a supported vehicle to charging by reference to the Indra?Should I keep the account and delete the Registered Car (Hyundai) or delete the account and go through the process of opening a new account and linking to the device? Should I notify customer support in advance that I am about to make the transition so that I can benefit from Charge Anytime immediately after installation or allow some time for the changes to take effect?Finally, may I expect OVOs technician to deal with adjusting my account after installation to resolve these issues?  

In August this year I had a smart meter installed and moved from a THTC tariff to the single variable rate tariff. All this went well till the next bill when I’d gone from a balance of -£11 to a credit of £900! It transpires that OVO have changed all my historic bill charges to £0 and the credit of £900 is effectively the monthly direct debits I’ve paid since being moved from SSE to OVO.Support had no idea when I previously phoned last month, other than a note on my account saying it was being investigated, and my attempt this week to get an update led to nothing, the support agent told me he couldn’t escalate it any further and there was no point raising a complaint as it wouldn’t help the process? It felt like the issue sits with the billing team so support were basically saying there’s nothing they can do and no-one they can contact for assistance. My issue is that I have no idea what my correct ongoing balance is and there seems to be no process to get any escalation or update as t

Would anyone who has electric heating only be able to advice on what type of heating they use and the rough costs (relative to the property size)? We were thinking of chaining from old storage heaters to new electric radiators and just wanted to get an idea from people who use either electric radiators or storage heaters as to the real cost.

Our house has been subject to an ongoing insurance claim relating to a burst pipe for over a year. In this time, we have repeatedly called OVO to inform them of this but they still keep sending estimated bills. We are told the only alternative is to have a smart meter installed, however the house is currently uninhabitable. The house has had a diversion circuit installed as the entire house needs to be rewired, and therefore a smart meter can’t be installed at present - however every time we call this is the only option being given. What help can OVO give to us? As it stands, the reading includes work which is part of the claim and the electricity bill will be paid at the end of the works, however OVO are now threatening us with debt recovery action.

HiJust switched from boost to ovo. I tend to use the energy app to topup and monitor the credit levels, with were fairly accurate when I used the boost app. Unfortunately, the ovo energy app is, well, bad. I get absolutely no reading from electricity despite the ihd being about 3 feet from the meter, and the gas reading that I do has is from February…Not to mention how many times the topup through the app has failed leaving my money in limbo.

I have a quite different result in my Power Move calculations for September than OVO did. Having been very close with July and August calculations, I would like to know why!July, my figure 6.16%, OVO 6.17%August, my figure 5.82%, OVO  5.86%September, my figure 6.19%, OVO 6.94%I have read the topic raised by Fern3 and am now aware of days being discarded due to missing half-hourly readings or late delivery of the data. However, the only way I can jimmy my calculations to match OVO’s result is to discard the data for the last 5 days of September for a 6.95% result.Understanding what happened is important to me! Understanding what happened and getting my other fiver back is even more important!!

Having been told that I owe Ovo a lot of money due to underpayment for my electricity consumption, I went back over my past 2 years of bills (since we moved in). I was amazed to see that I seem to using far more peak time power than off peak and that in the winter months the peak time consumption shoots up. This should not be the case - the storage heaters are only active off peak, and all washing and tumble-drying also being done off peak, it really looks as if we are being charged peak rates during off peak hours and vice versa. Is this possible? How can we check? i have raised this with Ovo and am waiting for their response, but I wonder if anyone else has ever experienced this?

Hi Forum,We were on a vacation from Mar 29th - Apr 9th with only the fridge and boiler turned on. However our energy usage shown for days from 29th - Apr 1 is pretty high. For the remaining days i.e from Apr 2 - Apr 9 the per day usage reported is the same each day and as expected since we were out on vacation. But why would the 29th - Apr 1 usage is not the same and very high compared to the rest of days we were out on vacation.  

I had a smart meter installed in Mid September removing an old night rate meter and day meter. Around two weeks ago I was unable to access my online account. I’ve never been able to use the app and I now cannot access the online account. I have tried using every known browser known to man, different PC, tablets, Mac, phone, different locations and still can’t access it.  I had an email exchange for fits@ovoenergy.com around 2 weeks ago and haven’t received a reply.. I am sick to my back teeth of the service provided by OVO and have been met with incompetence at every turn. If I don’t hear from them shortly I’ll be going to the Ombudsman again.

Hi,my new OHME Pro which didn’t ever work is now replaced and working. I have questions 😂 however, I just tried to get charge anytime but it tells me my vehicle isn’t able to work with it MG4 so can’t register with charge anytime!   Q1. Is this right? I just put my charger on my car and it’s all reacted but says it’s now scheduled. Given me a list from 18:00 on but my MG4 app is not showing it’s charging and I’m confused (easily done 😂)Q2. Is there something else I need to do?  Imconcerned I’ll get up in morning and it won’t have charged! 

Just got going with Power Move Flex along side Charge Anytime this morning. I have the Charge Anytime schedule set to max charge of 80% at 09:00. The car has been plugged in since Saturday evening and seemed to be charged to 81% this morning (which I guess is within spec).I happened to go into the garage at lunch time and discovered that the car was charging again. Quick look on the app shows that it has reached 84% and it's still charging at max rate. What is going on? Does Power Move Flex cause Charge Anytime to ignore the max charge percentage?If I understand Power Move Flex correctly, I am supposed to keep the car plugged in as much as possible so that OVO can better decide when to actually charge the car. However, if it is going to keep charging the car above the set maximum percentage, then I don't see how I can keep it plugged in.
