Can anyone with a Cupra Born (V2) confirm that it works with Charge Anytime. I don’t have a compatible charger (Hypervolt).I’m buying a Cupra soon, and really want to be able to charge at 7p a unit. thank you

Houses are just leaky heat boxes when all said and done.So use data in excel requires importing it as a comma delimited file or CSV. Hi. During this month (December 2021) have had my gas & electricity accounts transferred to OVO. I have smart meters for both supplies, which I have had for several years, and an In House Display in the hallway, roughly 6 feet from both meters. Prior to the transfer, the IHD regularly and correctly switched through its colour sequences - green, orange & red - in accordance with the energy usage at the time. However, since the transfer it is now displaying a red light almost all the time, even when high energy appliances are not in use. Even with most items turned off and the central heating not running, it displays an orange light where before it would have been green. I have also noted that the tariffs shown on the IHD do not match my actual tariff and are much higher per unit. I have tried rebooting the IHD but it has made no difference. Can anyone offer answers to this?

Hopefully theres nothing to be concerned about but…..Had a SMETS2 meter for about 9 months with SEB and its always worked fine, as has the IHD. Have recently been switched to OVO and suddenly Im being told my account is not getting readingsIs there a usual ‘bedding in time’ so to speak? Lights on the meter are all flashing green every 5 seconds, and the IHD usage reading are updating as normalYes I can supply manual readings I guess, but it rather defeats the point Hopefully Im jumping the gun and it will sort itself out, but thought it best to askTIA

Hello, I wondered if someone could help me out. Excluding University, this is the first time I have lived away from home and it’s been around 5 months, so please excuse my naivety around this topic.When we moved into our building, we were unsure of how to access our meter, eventually we were told the readings were taken every month and placed on a communal notice bored - we do not have the code to access this ourselves. It is worth noting our full flat is powered by electricity, there is no gas. We have also been told we’re unable to have a smart meter by the estate agents.This is partly our fault for not chasing this up, but for 3 months the meter readings were not posted, so OVO charged us an estimate. When a meter reading for November was finally put up, we uploaded this and our bill and past bills went up by a lot (November would make sense that it went up, as we began using the heating as it was getting too cold to not use it). Can anyone tell me what these particular settings mean please see photo 1 of FTC6 controller (I am still on the ASHP learning curve) - I am trying to grapple with whether the Flow Temperature settings are too high/too low/just right. At the moment the outside temperature during the day has been about 18 degrees, at night we have been having near freezing temperatures. See photo 2 from Melcloud. My system is set to run 24/7 which I believe is the most economical way - low and slow. I have been having the room control set to 17 in the day and I have put it up to 18 in the evening during my off peak hours. if I move it up or down it’s only by half a degree.  My problem is that I previously had old storage heaters and this thing is using a fraction of the electricity that they were using, so all the angst about 2.5kwh usage on this forum seems irrelevant to my situation. I have a 2 year old (electric) Renault Zoe and I have our own car charger.. After installing the charge anytime app, everyhting went haywhire. First of all, after waking up the next day I could not get into the car - tried both remote keys. Had to extractthe emergency metal key to open front doors. It was evident the 12V battery was flat. Opened the bonnet and confirmed the 12 Volt battery showed about 5V instead of c 12.7 volt. Called Reneault emergency and was directed to RAC who came 7 hours later and confimed battery flat. They gave a quick charge and after 15 minutes all was well. (The car range was shown as 170 miles).Meanwhile when I plugged my hybrid care into same chager it was not recognised and I could not charge it without “re-booting” the charger by switching the power off then on agin to thecharger. never happened before.Next day, went to look at the Zoe to fin all dorrs unlocked and all lights on both in car and the navigation lights! Could not lock car.

Currently been using the OVO charge anytime system for over six months now. Everything looks to work ok, the schedule charging is controlling the cars well and always charging when needed. However the OVO charge anytime app always seems to be 2 to 3 KW short on every charge Vs the info from the car and the charger shows. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know where the Anytime app gets it data from to say how many KW it has used to charge the car.  For extra info currently charge a Tesla M3 and PHEV Mini. Both are always out by 2 to 3 KW on the car apps and charger data.

Like others who have the capability, I’ve been running my heating with weather compensation enabled - it’s one of the recommendations often listed for energy saving. More recently (the last few days) I’ve switched that off and got some surprising results. I’m using less fuel and the house ‘feels’ more comfortable. Obviously with these sort of tests, if you change more than one thing at once you’re not sure which parameter has had an effect. Luckily, my heating system also tracks outside temperature and so although I can’t adjust it, I can also monitor it. Energy use by day and outside temperature. There is an element of possible solar gain in play but again, I can take my solar PV stats to look at an approximation of that. 

Hi there, New to the community but have read numerous posts on this subject and have learnt a lot in the process!Brief history is that I bought an EV, moved to OVO so as to benefit from favourable EV tariff, have been trying to get a Smart Meter installed since May, constantly get fobbed off with e-mails/conversations like the one below and am no further forward.  I live six miles from Colchester, not in the NW of Scotland.Aside from the fact that I think the e-mail below is appalling - who is going to understand a mail like this without the technical knowledge required - what I would like to know from the amazing people on this forum is this:Is it so unusual that a T3 aerial would be required for installation (if this indeed is what they mean by “an issue relating to T3 aerial”)?  Is this for installer to provide?  Could I purchase one so that there would then be one less problem?  Is it a genuine excuse to cancel the installation appointment?

Got up this morning to find my smart meter gas reading was not showing.  Heating been on all day but total on IHD is zero.  Checked readings on my account but also no readings.  Electricity is fine.  Will this fix itself or do I have to contact Ovo?

I regularly set Charge Anytime to charge my car by 7:30am and it works perfectly.  If I look at the Renault App it shows that a scheduled charge is set up, but it bears no relation to the time that my car charges.Is there some kind of special magic going on? 

Recently had smart meters installed (SMETS 2 Meter) the installer never left us the in home display so had to contact ovo who speedily sent out the Trio II display, there are no instructions with the device I've switched it on and recieve connecting to smart meter followed by meter not commissioned.On the SMETS 2 meter  the WAN and HAN light indicators are off no lights.How do I go about resolving these issues.

I have successfully linked my car to Charge Anytime and it is showing the charge level OK.  But the app is saying that I haven’t made any savings yet.Is that because I am using a standard 3 pin plug 13amp charger?  Does this only work with a proper EV fast charger?Any advice appreciated.

So after using weather compensation for the past month or so my flow temp is not achieving the target flow temp on my weather compensation curve. We have had below 0 outside on many occasions this week. 

I have a Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 630 boiler paired with a megaflo eco systemfit unvented cylinder.  My gas usage is nearly 3 times my colleagues who has a combi boiler (they have a much larger house, more occupants and has a gas hob and oven). My gas usage is solely for hot water/heating.  My system is managed through the nest app and my water is heating for a total of 4.5 hours a day (I don’t have hot water whenever I want). I went on holiday for a week, turned my system off and it still charged me for all but 2 days of the 7 I was away.  We’ve had no heating on and only the hot water scheduled for the times mentioned above. My usage is around 800-850kWh per month.  I live with my boyfriend and two year old.  I’ve spoken to so many people who can’t find the issue - can anyone help?! Why does the Medium Energy slots change before I can use the?  I have had three days using everything at High Energy, and my electricity usage has been over £3 for each of those days - the highest since I joined OVO December 2022.I’m already sitting in candlelight, three jumpers quilt and blankets for 3 hours each weekday for Power Move. I have been able to charge iPad & phone during Green/Medium periods to use ‘off grid’ between 4pm and 7pm each weekday and seen the rewards in 2 bills BUT for the those 3 days last week this was impossible. After 7pm High until 11pm but after 10pm it was high until 3am so I set alarm & woke up at 2.45am to be ready to plug in iPhone & iPad. Then this morning, Saturday 13 January 2024, it was High from 7am so I had to get breakfast and shower at the highest usage rate. Is this fair?

We have been seeing incredibly high gas usage for the last few months or so, even when no one is in the house. We’ve not even had our heating on yet and it’s mid December because we are so concerned about the usage clocking up just using the boiler for hot water. For example on Sunday no one was home between the hours of 4.30pm-11.30pm and we clocked up around 60kwh of usage according to the OVO app:For reference I live in a moderately sized 4 bedroom flat, in a block of 5 flats. We are currently only using the gas for hot water for showers or washing up.Temperatures are now below freezing so we want to put our heating on but with the extra usage clocking up our bill is already unmanageable and we are lost at what to do next. Can anyone offer any advice?

Hi Everyone,Apologies in advance if this has been asked before, I’ve been looking through google and this forum seems to be very helpful.I’m running a Ecodan heat pump with underfloor heating only ( no radiators)but I’m finding there is no information online on how to run the system properly and most efficiently, it’s rather frustrating.There is a lot talk about cop figures ?  I have no idea how I obtain these figures from my controller or Mel cloud appI have 4 thermostats and use a Heatmiser app for a timer ( 4am - 10pm and then a 2 degree drop off from 10pm) .Two rooms  achieve solar gain and are hotter than the other two rooms. I don’t use the other rooms often so I have the thermostats low in those rooms so they never call for heat.There’s a lot of talk about running the system low and slow 24/7 .The only way to run 24/7  is to run the thermostats in the rooms  higher than my desired temperature so the pump is always o

Good Day, I have noticed in the past few days, when it has been extremely cold that my Solax Battery isn't force charging as much power from the grid as last week when the night time temp was warmer. I used to get 2.4kwh an hour and when its cold only 1kwh max…..Has anyone else experienced this.  Thanks again Jonathan

Hi all,I’ve just bought a new build with a Ecodan FTC. I have had a nightmare trying to balance the house temps. Too cold. Now too hot. I tried the weather comp but my numbers were way out. Downstairs was ok but upstairs was far too cold. Yesterday I changed to auto temp which wacked the flow rate up to 45 and in turn got the upstairs to temp (although downstairs is now tropical!)My understanding is that the auto temp on the Ecodan uses the room temp to make flow adjustments. My issue is that the room temp on the Ecodan is reading like 8 degrees. I imagine this is why it was just flat out all day long.I see you can change the sensor to be either the FTC which it is set at and no doubt where the temp of 8 is being read from, or the TH1 to use a wireless controller.This is where I need help. There is a wireless unit attached but I am not sure if this is the correct thing. Used to connect the app.How can I get the actual house temp to the

Please could you update the Anytime Charging online registration to include the BMW I5 model.  I am advised by BMW that it works off the same Operating System as the I4 and I7 models which are on the OVO registraion page and therefore the I5 model will also be compatible with the Charge Anytime App.

Hi, I recently installed a Livoltek ESS and I can constantly see the draw from the battery is nearly always double (low loads) to that of the demand (Home) is this normal or am I missing something obvious. 

Good morning Im new here and looking at changing my supplier from British Gas who have been shocking.On 3 different occasions they have been out to fit a smart meter at our bungalow and on all 3 occasions they have not been able to do this because the engineer has not got the meter required because our gas and electricity meter are more than 5 meters apart. I would say they are a maximum of 10 meters away with no major thick walls in the way.They have now on the 4th occasion cancelled our appointment before even getting to us saying they have a shortage of engineers then saying no smart meter available.we are wanting to upgrade our aging current car to a EV but with the mileage we do require to be a EV tariff to make it worth while . Is this something that OVO can do if we switch suppliers as OVO has been recommended.
