Has anyone managed to get an iD3 ver 3:0 to charge on a non smart meter. My car doesn't want to do the handshake to start the charge at anytime. If you have how did you set it up?

My understanding is that you need a smart meter

For full Charge Anytime Terms & Conditions, see this page. Eligibility criteria can be found under section 5, I’ve detailed this below direct from the T&Cs:

5 Charge Anytime Eligibility

5.1.4 You have a smart meter that communicates half-hourly data to OVO – currently the main types of smart meters that work with Charge Anytime are SMETS2 meters by any manufacturer, and SMETS1 meters manufactured by Secure.

5.1.5 You opt in to sharing half-hourly smart meter data with OVO. If you aren’t currently opted in to sharing half-hourly data you agree that we can automatically update your preferences if you select the Charge Anytime add-on.

Thanks for replying. My understanding is that you need either a smart meter that is listed or a listed EV.

You need either an EV Charger that is listed or an EV that is listed.

In both cases you need a smart meter.

Perhaps you are confusing smart meter with EV Charger?

Are you using the OVO Charge Anytime app on your phone to setup the charge?

It works I now have charge anytime working perfectly on my Rolec non smart charger and my iD3 with version 3.0 software. You just have to make sure that you have no locations or times set up in the we connect id app or car. Also make sure your charger is providing 32 amps from the initiation of the charge. Leave all the smart stuff to the charge anytime app and Bob’s yer uncle!

And that’s exactly why Granny Chargers don’t work. :)
