When using charge anytime. Which easier or more consistent? Connect to the car or connecting to the charger?

Hi @Jiffj43,

If you have both a compatible car and a compatible EV, you’ll need to make a choice when first registering with Charge Anytime. The EV option involves using a new app powered by Kaluza. The charger option involves using the smart charger app. You can’t toggle between both options.

As blastoise mentions, registering the charger gives you the option of using more than one EV (you have two Tesla’s I believe), with that charger. Although the vehicle make and model is listed against the smart charger account to help us calculate the charging schedules, based on the listed battery capacity. So you might find that the other EV doesn’t work as well unless they’re the same make and model.

The clever tech behind the app means you always charge your car at the greenest times when you smart charge. You also get personalised insights into your charging habits, and see how much money you're saving with Charge Anytime credits. All managed through the handy app.

If possible, Charger is the better option since you can charge any EV with it and have the EV be fully asleep rather than being kept awake.
