Does anyone else have a Project EV charger and uneventfully using the Project EV app?For over a year that's what I did, got home plugged car in and the timer set in my car (Nissan Leaf e+) used the off peak electricity kindly provided to me by OVO.A few weeks back Project EV sent an email suggesting I migrate to Electric Miles, which I did. Setup wasn't straightforward,  but it was manageable, however  its reliability causes anxiety.Now when I plug in I don't know if I'll wake to a night without charge,  like this morning. I went to the Electric Miles app and it's asking me to add a charger (already done, more than once). To be fair, their Support does respond, but not always with a solution. Some replies have been to the effect of stating awareness of a problem and working on it.Is it just me?

I have my EV signed up to Ovo charge. I have the App, I have the card but how does on use it!I’ve had a very stressful day trying to use public charging and had to resort to first downloading those charger Apps but failing to get them to work and eventually just using my debit card with still some difficulty! In fact it was an octopus customer who rescued me by simply holding his octo card to the contactless and it going right through thank god. I’m now fully charged to journey home.  do I just hold it to the contact point? Like a debit card? I’m such a noob to this so clueless without instructions 

The Leaf isn’t on the list of vehicles that OVO says is compatible with their systems. Does anyone know why?  I’m asking as I have a smart meter, a smart charger (not one of the ones OVO recommends) and solar panels and was hoping to benefit from the V2G when is is fully up and running.. 

Hi Folks,I’ll begin by saying the setup for EV charging hurts my brain!I have a Cord One charger, which is meant to be Ovo compatible and I’ve been using their recommended app from Monta to manage smart charging.I’m on Ovo Charge Anytime and also have the CA app installed on my phone. I’m not sure if that’s needed or not though. It seems like that and the Monta app fight for the right to schedule my EV charge times.To confuse myself further, I’ve just enrolled in the Power Move Flex option where I’m supposed to have the car plugged in as close to 24/7 as is practical.My dilemma is, if I set my Monta app to smart charge then the Charge Anytime app doesn’t see the car as being plugged in, so does that mess with the Power Move Flex sessions? However, if I set the Monta app to ‘Charge Now’, then the car is being charged at any time, day or night, and I don’t know if I’m then paying peak rate for the electric.Should I even have both apps installe

Does anybody know if you can use charge anytime with a compatible vehicle using the standard 3 pin mains charger ?

Hi,I’m considering to start using OVO for public (AC) charging of my electric car.But: the public charging station closest to my house, so preferred station to use, is not showing on the map in the OVO app. No idea why, two other stations a little further away from the same operator (TotalEnergies / Greenflux) are shown. It’s definitely not a new station. And it works. It is visible in pretty much every other charging app I have.How can I get OVO to add this specific charging station to their map/database?Rough location: The Netherlands, Utrecht, De Meern.Thanks,Matthijs

i am about to take delivery of my first ev, had my charger recently installed and activated charge anytime on my accounti was just wondering if i have it plugged in and on a schedule to charge, what if i need to use my car before the scheduled charge has finished, do i just unplug or do i need to cancel through the app first? 

Please help from the hive mind!We had our Indra Smart Pro replaced under warranty last week - we also have solar panels and used the solar matching option successfully for 3 years - however we now no longer seem to be able to switch to non boost mode? Previously toggling between Boost and Eco allowed the 1.5kw cheaper rate but it toggles between “solar” at 7.4kw and Boost at 7.kw. Even when there is no sun? anyone had similar issues? Indra have been of little help.

I thought it would be helpful if I described my recent experience in trying to extend the subscriptions to Renault’s connected services.On it’s third birthday, all of my Renault Zoe’s connected services stopped working and so did Ovo’s Charge Anytime app. Charge Anytime’s reported mileage and battery status did not update further despite having driven and recharged several times.In the Renault app and website (https://my.renault.co.uk/contracts.html) those services were just shown as “Ended”. I gather each should have had an “Extend” button but this was absent.My dealership was unable to help and could only direct me to Renault Customer Services (034 433 50000). Hello,We had a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro installed by Ovo yesterday and have been trying to connect it to Ovo Anytime via the app. However, we just keep getting an error message saying “You cannot currently enrol in the Ovo integration as we need to finish upgrading the firmware on your charger. Please ensure your car is not plugged in to the charger and try again in an hour”. Needless to say we have tried several times since the installation was completed yesterday afternoon, but are still getting the same message. I have tried deleting the Charge Anytime app and reinstalling it but still no joy.The troubleshooting test on the Hypervolt app says everything is fine. Have considered doing a factory reset or unadopting and readopting the charger, but the Hypervolt help pages say to only do these things if advised by their Customer Support team.We have previously used Charge Anytime D2V with my husband’s previous company car (Kia Niro) but both current cars aren’t compa

I had my smart meter installed last week and charge anytime worked fine on the first try. Last 2 nights there has been no charging so I had to do an urgent instant charge via the charger app this morning. The Renault app appears to be connected as it tells me how much charge I have, but Charge anytime is not initiating the charge. I have no idea how to resolve this.I feel as though I have 3 mechanisms of starting charge- by the Apex EV app, the Renault app or the charge anytime app and I don’t know whether this causes a problem.

Hi,I use “Urgent Charge” to opportunistically charge my car during the day from solar when our home batteries are full and the sun is likely to stay out. I can do this from any location as I leave my car plugged all the time.Once initiated, I can’t find how to cancel urgent charge from the app so that the normal schedule kicks back in. I believe you need to physically go to the car, unplug, possibly even drive to a new location etc before the app spots you are finished.Am I missing something?It would be really useful to be able to simply cancel urgent charge from the app so I can do this all remotely. Thanks,Frank.

While exploring options, I wondered if anyone could share their experiences holidaying with an electric vehicle. We do tend to travel around the UK and occasionally the near continent, so it would be useful to hear any tips, pitfalls and suggestions from those who have tales to share of their travels - positives and negatives.

Maybe looking towards an EV, but my smart meter is housed in a cellar behind a 2 foot stone wall, and hence no readings to ovo in the last 3 years.They have been out to replace the meters in the vain hope that this might fix the issue, but the signal can’t get through the thick walls.So as the meter can’t be read remotely, does this mean that most of the EV tariffs are not available due to this lack of communication ?

I have a 2nd user Smart Pro installed which Indra will not support so I can’t have contact with them or the Indra app (Nice people).My question is will I be able to access charge anytime and charge at the cheaper rate and at 7kw. The charger is only charging at 3kw at this moment. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Hi allWe have a podpoint but would like to install a charger that works with the anytime tariff. We also need wifi as the mobile signal is bad here.  We don't really need to charge two cars at once, but I'm wondering if it's best to take the podpoint out and install the Indra, or whether anyone has installed a second charger alongside an existing one. I'm assuming that load would need to be considered Thanks 

Does anyone know if the Hypervolt Home Pro 3 will work directly with Charge Anytime, anytime soon?  It says on this page ‘early 2024’ https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/smart-charger#choose, but we are into April now...The phone signal is very poor at my house,  so although my car is compatible with Charge Anytime, it often does not work as my car can’t connect to 3G or 4G.  The solution (I think) is a Indra or Hypervolt charger that can connect via wifi or ethernet.I am on my second quote for an Indra charger, but each one has thrown up a a different obstacle.  Coincidentally I have an electrician working at my house already on an extension.  He can buy the Hypervolt charger and install it himself.  But the Home Pro 3 doesn’t look to work directly with Charge Anytime, which is the whole point!

Hi guys,Im pretty new to the EV world, a week to be precise! I used a charger outside my house via OVO bonnet that required a £30 holding deposit, i have used the charger on the 24th, 25th and 29th of may and have yet to see any of my deposits returned. Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction please.

Has anyone else had trouble with charge anytime limiting charging to the car. A couple of times recently I've set my car to charge overnight, with plenty of time to get to 100%, but when I check at 7am it's not fully charged. When I look in my charger log it's only been charging at 3.5kwh and not the full 7kwh, hence it's not fully charged. Is there a fix for this? I have an Audi Q4.
