Just updated app to 2.2.0. Was working yesterday without problem. Today the app says I am charging away from home (I’m not) and does not show anything on the dial (it did yesterday). Anyone else having problems? - That said it has just charged to maximum.  

Is the mercedes EQA compatible with the charge anytime  program yet? 

I have an OHME charger for my EV. OVO emailed me and told me that they were stopping use of the OHME app and I needed to install the OVO charge anytime app. I followed their instructions to the letter.3 days running I have tried to charge my car and the OVO app tells me it will be ready by 0700 - scheduled to ensure I get the 7p/kwh. 3 days running my EV has not charged.I have emailed OVO several times but they have not bothered to contact me (quite how they are number 1 for customer service I do not know) even though I have to,d them that I am disabled and they will incarcerate me in my own home as I rely on my car to get out and about.can any one help please? Has anyone else had problems switching apps?

Up until the recent update of the Charge Anytime (CA) app (Jun 25 v 2.1.16) I've always been able to day charge my ev using solar energy from my panels and CA displays solar charging. Now it seems that CA won't recognise solar charging only and insists on adding/topping up with Boost function from the grid, delivered at the full day rate. The only thing that has changed is the app update for CA - any suggestions?

Anytime App wouldn't find my EV tonight but did yesterday.The Ohme and OVO instruction emails say slightly different things.Does the ovo Anytime App need the ohme app and account to find my ev?

I have now completed, as per the email, to move from the Ohme set up to OVO charge anytime.I have two compatible EV’s, both Audi.I have linked both up to the app okay.I have charged both cars this weekend, but only one is showing on the savings tab and only one has updated.I reconnected the EV that the savings weren’t showing by removing the EV then adding it. I then got a different account number?I am sure that EV will be showing in the savings tab when I charge that one but the other one won’tHow can I be sure both EVs are charging at the 7p?? 

The beta list includes Kia Niro from 2019 on.Does that include the 2022 Niro EV?Kia changed the name when it rebranded the Niro in 2022. 

Does anyone have any info on Charge Anytime points that launches on Monday? When I joined up I remember something about getting points for keeping you car plugged in for longer. Is this correct and what are the “Points” used for. ThanksBruce

I just wanted to post to help people work out how to charge with solar or not.  If you want to charge with solar just put a really long schedule to finish time and the ovo charge anytime app selects super eco where just solar is used.  Although I am not sure I would recommend this as there is an opportunity cost, I am being paid via my feed in tariff about 25p per kWh and as such it makes and as ovo charge 7p, it is actually going to cost you money to use the solar at that Ovo rate.  In this case I would charge overnight to ensure the solar is not used at all and you are only paying 7p per kWh to charge your vehicle. I hope this helps.  

I'm currently waiting for my Cupra Born to be delivered which should be within the next 2 monthsI've got a Hypervolt home 3 Pro charger installed and was wondering if I can sign up for charge anytime now or do I have to wait until my vehicle has arrived?I don't want to miss out on charge anytime incase they stop sign ups before my vehicle arrives.Thanks 

Hi - I am thinking of switching to OvO to benefit from the charging of my Tesla, I just wanted to ask, does the OVO charge anytime need access to my Tesla account. If this is the case, then this is a big data flaw/privacy concern.   I ask this as I wonder how the app knows the car is being charged at a given time? Thank you.

Hi guys,I’m new to Ovo and have signed up and downloaded the Charge Anytime app.  I have a Porsche Taycan which is currently at 61 percent charged. I want to charge it to 80 percent but the Ovo app is saying the minimum charge level is 50 percent. Unless I do an urgent charge override is there no way of charging it up to 80 percent? Thanks in advance.   

Has the cutoff happened early?  Ever since yesterday my Ohme EPod refuses to smart charge. All I get it “unable to connect, offline”. It isn’t, green icon showing and when I kill the power at the trip the app knows instantly. So it’s obvious that it’s online.  All I can get is Max Charge now.   Rebooted it countless times.  Anytime still shows in Tariff.  Any ideas??  Thanks. 

I’m currently benefitting from Charge Anytime tarrifs on my Renault Zoe natively supported by the Renault-provided BP charger.I’m thinking of changing my car soon to one not listed as compatible by Ovo. Will I have to replace the charger with a ‘smart’ one, like the Ohme ePod, to continue using Charge Anytime?  

Updated on 04/11/25 by Ben_OVODoes anyone know how to get a 2020 Renault Zoe to talk to the charge anytime app. I've been happily using an Ohme epod via their app for 8 months but have now had to change to using the OVO app because OVO and Ohme have fallen out. My problem is that I cannot consistently get the OVO app and Renault to talk to each other. I plug the car in and it starts charging immediately and the OVO app says car not plugged in. I then go around the houses changing the Renault app to have a schedule, not have a schedule, have a schedule. I switch both apps off and sign back in a few more times then suddenly without explanation everything will work, the charging will stop, the OVO app will show a schedule and happy days. I have followed the instructions to remove the Ohme element of charging my car and doing this directly to my car (Mercedes Benz EQC). Everything went fine and now the Ovo Charge Anytime App shows teh charging and also reports savings.Part of the instructions was to go into Ovo Energy App and remove the exisitig Charge Anytime ‘benefit’. Since I moved over to the car direct charge this option has not returned. Is this correct? I am concerned that any credit will not be charged back to my account.Maybe if it is correct then the instructions to swap from Ohme could reflect this.

Hi there,  I have installed my first Easee One charger at my home this week, and successfully linked both my BMW i3 and i4 to the charge anytime app with Kaluza. For some reason my BMW i4 isn’t updating on the app and shows that it was last updated on Monday. I have charged the car a few times since then.The charge anytime app is also saying the car is currently charging, the car is not plugged in and the car is with me on my commute. I also cannot see the i4 in the savings tab. The i3 seems to be absolutely fine however, and I can also see it in the savings section of the app. Is there a reason why this isn’t updating, and have I still been using my charge anytime tariff to charge the car? 

Hi, I’ve just seen that OVO Charge Anytime is going to be incompatible with Ohme chargers through the Ohme app. (Annoying as most users have noted). Currently there are three of us using the Ohme app with one car (VW ID3). I’ve followed the instructions to move charging to the Charge Anytime app and this worked for me but my wife gets an error message when she tries this. Does anyone know if more than one user can use Charge Anytime with the same car?

I like the new EV Insights page. However, I think there’s an error in the CO2 estimate. It says last month my emissions were 1701.72kg less than a Ford Fiesta.First it’s an estimate, when I studied physics I was taught to think about what the uncertainty is. In this case it’s probably plus or minus 10 kg. Anything after the decimal point is meaningless.More importantly I think you’ve probably misplaced a decimal point and the estimate should be a tenth. So 170kg. I thought you’d like to take another look at this.

I have a Wallbox Pro charger which I use with Charge Anytime to charge my Porsche Taycan. Will this charger still be compatible with Charge Anytime after your updates in July?

I am about to buy a Kia EV6 and I believe it is not compatible with the ‘charge anytime’ offerings, however, if have one of the two OVO recommended charger installed as per the recommendation here https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/smart-charger? does this allow then Charge Anytime offering/saving to be used? Many thanks in advance.

Just seen the email from Ovo about needing to take steps to keep on the Anytime plan.  It includes this statement   Step 1- Disconnect your charger from Charge Anytime Anyone know what his means? Disconnect your Ohme car charger from the mains? From the car ? Or is it just unlinking Ohme and Ovo via the apps?  If so, poor choice of language I'd say!Thanks
