My OVO energy

Hello. I have recently switched to OVO from octopus to take advantage of the heat pump tariff add on. But I can't see anywhere that the add on is active. Perhaps it is running in the back ground but I have no way of knowing. Has anybody got any experience of this? 

Dear Ovo Team,  We started our contract with OVO on 23-11-2022 and the initial reading sent was 69108 taken on 25-11-2022.  However, the last reading updated on your system shows 63871. We moved into this apartment on 28-10-2022 and the reading was 68719, again confirmed by our lending agent. (At the time we were with SSE). There is a discrepancy of around 5000 units for which we are not liable and but we were charged with November bill which became as £1936.09. I have contacted Ovo several time during december and january, they never takes action, just give me promises.  After many calls and emails, they told me they are opening the meter reading dispute. I waited for a long time but didn't get any response. I’ve been searching through a few questions regarding solar with batteries and power company integration, however many answers seem to be UK-based, whish obviously wouldn’t be useful for my questions here in Queensland. Is there a forum with/for Australian customers and power users to ask and converse on here?

Hi,Can someone tell me or give a link to OVOs payg tariffs. I'm only looking for a single tariff and not an e7 etc. When I look at Renew Your Plan, there is no option to select payg. Why is this?Thanks

Hi All, I recently moved into a new house at the beginning of March and have received a bill fromOVO asking me to pay £700 from October to March, despite not living here. I have provided copies of my completion statement, my old tenancy contract, my old electric bills and a copy of moving company booking to prove this, however this has not been corrected and I am still being asked to pay this. I have contacted customer support numerous times, have been told that a case has been opened however whilst there is an open balance on my account with no direct debit, my details will be passed to credit reference agencies and third parties to seek collection. Has anyone got any advice on what I can do to resolve this. 

I’m an old SSE customer that was migrated to OVO earlier in the year. Our smart meter has been working fine and according to the website and app, it is sending readings over, but the reading has been the same each day for the last 9 days, despite the heating and water being used.When I check the reading on the meter itself, it shows the same as the reading that is being sent.  Looking back, there was also 7 days at the start of the month where this happened, and 3 days last month. The gas supply is working fine, so no problem there. I’m more than happy not to pay for it but something is definitely not right.This is the Smart Meter we have.

I am trying to switch to OVO from octopus as i am getting an EV and want to take advantage of the charge any time add on, I have SMETS2 metrers installed by octopus and currently have the Octopus GO tariff for off peak charging of my Hybrid.I consistantly get this message“Unfortunately, we can't give you a quote right now. We're currently unable to support your meter setup, but we're working on it and expect to offer quotes in 2025”It doesnt give me any other information about why i cant switch!!

I have had a none-functioning smart meter since November. OVO have booked three appointments to send an engineer and each time no one has shown up, despite assurances I was a priority and me having phoned a few days beforehand to check the appointment was still booked. How can I ensure one of these elusive creatures actually attends?

My elderly mother, who is fast approaching 97, recently received a demand, from OVO, for immediate payment of her account or, she was liable to receive a visit from the bailiffs!As she does not have access to the internet, she signed up, with OVO, to receive paper bills.The previous bill was received in, or around, May 2023. She has received no communication since. Why is this?As I've stated, she's almost 97 & lives independently. She does not have a mobile phone, computer, or internet access. Even if she had the latter, she'd not have a clue how to use it!! Where have paper bills gone?Do OVO care or even give a jot about their elderly customers?   

I was given an RTI code for a £100 refund. I’ve had flu so not been able to go to shop to put on my key. Does the RTI code have an expiry date?

Good afternoon, I hope you are all well.I just wanted to ask if any of you have had a similar problem. Recently, the DNO (UK Power Network) completed a power upgrade, and we now have a 200A, 130KVA CT ratio 400:5 power supply.We were with British Gas, but they couldn’t upgrade our meter to a CT three-phase meter, so I contacted OVO to ask if they could supply the required meter.Both the chat and phone representatives confirmed that there would be no issues and that OVO could handle it.Although the account will be domestic, they explained that they would need to book CT work and arrange a commercial booking. This means OVO would need to appoint SMS as the MOP (Meter Operator), according to advice given by an OVO engineer.I switched to OVO, booked the appointment, paid the £325 fee, and received the date. Hi, need help! I was taken to court by OVO without my knowledge as I had moved to a new address. I saw my credit report and realised I now have CCJ. I’m attempting to pay the balance in full to get it removed from my credit file, however I have no details of who to pay to, the account to pay into etc. I called OVO customer services but they weren’t able to help, and were giving me different amounts. I want to pay the ccj debt but don’t know who their legal team is. The ccj was filed on the 23rd of August, which means I have to pay by 23rd September to get it removed without waiting 6 years. Does anyone have the details of their legal team, who I can contact and confirm the judgment with? Thank you 

Why can't PAYG customers enjoy the same EV benefits as those who pay by direct debit. 

Hi newbie here and need advice.We were with SSE but I believe OVO took over the account some time ago. The last 3 top ups I have done have definitely not added up. We put  the emergency 2 days ago which is £15 and we only get notification at 50 pence left. Today I put £30 on the key and went to top up, the meter said about £8 left of emergency,so we owed £7 to my mind. So I put the £30 in and the meter showed the key had £30 on it. The meter then showed that we had only £13 credit whereas it should have been £23, a shortfall of £10. There is no debt with this meter and to be honest we rarely use the emergency except during the colder periods purely because of the lack of warning until 50 pence left. We have got letters from them saying that we haven't topped up in a while but every week for many years at least £25 goes in a week without fail. So are OVO charging £10 every time you use the emergency electric or are they scamming us or have been hacked themselves. Any thoughts

Hi Alli have been on a quarterly billing cycle since i automatically got transferred to ovo years ago, i have now had an email informing me that i am now moving to monthly bills, i know ovo do not do monthly billing for new customers but i would still prefer a quarterly bill instead of monthly as thats what i have always had. does anybody know if this is somethng i can stay on or is it a non negotiable change that all customers now have been moved to?any help appreciated.

Recently last week moved into a new property which you already supplied electric and gas so I thought it would be easier just to stick with you. Set up my account with a nice lady who said I had smart meters and meter readings would be sent automatically and I would be paying monthly when it was due for gas and electric. Today (Sat 11th Jan) I woke up to no gas or heating or hot water. I had to call my landlord to get a certified gas engineer out only to be told I have a pre-payment gas meter that I have to top up. It had no credit hence why no gas, This was never mentioned to me. I then tried to call you and your phone lines are closed at weekends! I text chatted to someone they said the gas meter is pre-payment you top up with a code or online. They then said the meter isn’t communicating with OVO and s

We purchased a property that had lay empty for some months prior to purchase.  Furthermore, we’ve not lived in it we have cosmetic renovations undertaken.The previous tenant was with OVO on PAYG for gas and electric so we thought for ease we would stick with OVO then instructed them to switch to meter supply, which we did, OVO having advised that we had smart meters.  Over the course of the month, the contractors have reported the power going off on 3 to 4 occasions, having top top up the PAYG card.  On every happening, I have contacted OVO and they have said it has been transferred over to meter. To compound the issue, just over a month later, the first bill is showing daily usage despite nobody living in the property, on both the gas and and electric.  Furthermore, the contractor has notified us that the gas has been capped off!As a side story, the adjoining neighbour has informed us that when the previous tenant was in our property, they use to top up the PAY

So today is the day I am due to get smart meter installed to replace old (Payg) THTC in PH2 postcode area in Perthshire.    Will update on how it goes.Heating in house is provided by old style storage heaters in lounge and hall with panel heaters (that we don't use) in bedrooms.Hot water is immersion.  

I am a THTC customer on  complex meters.The app doesn't support complex meters and redirects you to sign in online Except it actually doesn't and every time I try to sign in through the online browser it constantly tells me sorry the app doesn't support.…Why am I unable to access the online account 

Hi I’m moving into a new house, and the previous tenant mentioned they have debt on the energy account, which they plan to retain and pay off through a payment plan.Can I open a new ovo account in my name without inheriting their debt?
