Hi,I’ve just finished a charging session and the car reports a 28 kWh charge, but the Hypervolt reports 30.3 kWh being delivered to the car. Why the discrepancy?thanks, colin

I just installed Charge Anytime for my Mercedes EQC 400.I have it set on Min 50% and Max 100%.  My question:Why can’t it just be set to a 100% charge, or even 95%? I don’t want it to only charge 50%. I’ve tried it twice and all I get the car charged is around 50% but I need the battery to be fully charge for my longer journeys. It’s quite stressful not knowing if I’ll have enough battery or not when I leave the house in the morning.Is it meant to work like this? Why can’t I just set the % I want it charged at? The highest I can move the Min charge to is 50%. I’ve contacted OVO but they’re not getting back to me. Thanks.

I have just signed up to Extended Fixed but need to be able to use this with Charge Anytime, is that possible? 

Hello,I’ve just bought a Volvo PHEV, but where I park is outside my home WiFi zone. The car has the facility to connect to the internet via an in-car SIM. My question is, how much data do I need if I’m connecting to Charge Anytime every night? I’m charging with a Mode 2 cable and 3-pin plug.Thanks.

I have a Kia Niro EV and a Pod Point charger.  After some initial incomplete transactions, I now seem to have the system working OK, but the savings are lower than expected.To avoid peak rates, I started the last two chargings at around 1:00 to 1:30 am each time, with the car itself set to charge to a maximum of 80% - both times from existing levels of around 40%.   As expected, the details shown by my PodPoint App show charge amounts of 30kWh each time over around 4 hrs each time - so finishing well before 7 a.m.For 30 kWh the Charge Anytime rate of 7.07p/kWh compared with my OVO rate of 27. 07p/kWh gives a saving rate of 20p/kWh, so I expected to see saving of around £6.00 for each charge.   However, in my Charge Anytime App, savings are shown as around £4.00 each time.When I sent copies of my data to Charge Anytime at OVO, I received a re

I’ve just received a quote from OVO to install an Indra charger.  It reads…“We are happy with all the information and your quote of £1354.99 is ready to be sent through, along with the corresponding payment link.We are just awaiting approval from your local DNO before we are able to do this. Once we have received this approval, your quote and payment link will be sent to you.”As a result I’ve since received several emails from SSEN asking for further details so they perform a “load check”I’m almost certainly not going to go with the OVO quote as my local, certified electrician will supply and fit

I’m a non-OVO user considering using the Charge Anytime tariff.If I carry out the compatibility checks for my EV and charger for Charge Anytime it says I am OK - provided I lie about my solar panels and say I don’t have any.If I click the radio button for ‘yes, I have solar panels’ (the truth) and re-submit, it tells me I’m NOT compatible for Charge Anytime.What is the reason for this? I haven’t found anywhere that explains this restriction.Thanks and regards 

Has anyone been able to make sense of their charge anytime credits on their bill? For the 2nd Quarter running I’m trying to reconcile the credits with the electricity used according to the Indra app and, yet again, there’s a big difference between the two - always in OVO’s favour!Using the data from the app I’ve been under credited by £65 over the quarter, in fact as far as I can see I’ve been under credited ever since starting on Charge Anytime 6 months ago. It’s not helped by OVO simply stating “Charge Anytime Credits” and no further detail eg how many kW the credit has been applied to. Yes, you can work it out but I don’t want to spend a couple of hours checking my electricity bill every quarter and then spending even more time trying to sort it out.

Hello, iv had OVO charge anytime with mini electric for a couple of years and it worked seamlessly.I’ve just swapped to a Renault scenic e-tech and I’m not able to connect the charge anytime app to my Renault account. note - my Renault account / app works fine, I can see the range / lights / location / preconditioning etc. when I try to sync I see the following message, see screenshot.   

Recently linked ovo account and home charger to charge anytime, then gave permission to control charging of my audi e tronIt didn’t work - didn’t recognise the car as being connected and then the day after, the app wouldn’t communicate with the audi at all. Complete failure so decided to delete charge anytime account and put up with paying standard charge - better than not being able to charge at all.However, despite deleting account, my audi will no longer connect to my home charger so I am completely stuck.The charger is fine - I can charge other cars.The audi is fine, I can charge it in other places.However, I cannot charge it at home on my charger which is a disaster. I wish I had never tried to implement this scheme at all as I am now forced onto public chargers at huge expense and inconvenience.Anybody else had these issues?

After a small number of charges with the Charge Anytime bolt-on I can see a credit on my OVO account so it seems to be working albeit with a few small issues.The sign up process asked if I had one or more EVs so it would follow that the ability to add more should be available or if a manufacturer account which is connected to the Charge Anytime account has multiple cars within it there should be some mechanism to either manually select which vehicle is waiting to be charged or perhaps Charge Anytime should detect which is ready to charge automatically. I need to charge a second car which is in my "My Renault" account but am still waiting for a reply regarding my situation and what I should expect to do to make this work. Does anyone know how one can switch from one car to another or to connect Charge Anytine to multiple vendor accounts? (For example Renault and Vauxhall or two Renault accounts). Any help much appreciated so I can char

Having installed a Givenergy AIO system to take advantage of OVOs Battery Boost (automatic, overnight charging at cheap rate), we are now turning our thoughts to an EV charger.OVOs Charge Anytime add on (7p per kWh EV charging) is only available if you choose from a list of compatible EV chargers ( Givenergy isn't on this list!).Are there any plans to ensure compatibility of the new Givenergy EV charger as I would prefer my equipment to come from the same manufacturer? I'm assuming that Givenergy will produce an EV charger that is compatible with its All in One battery?Thanks.

I have an ID3 and charge anytime - it has been working perfectly but …..The app dashboard has recently started to show that I need to sign in again on my vehicle … I have completed this and there is no change … the account page on the app does not load at all but the charge savings page shows the connected car and the daily smart charge costs, so its working !I have deleted and reloaded the Anytime App with no change.Because the dashboard page says “additional steps required ….” I can't use the charge level or override to charge now features.The VW app has also been deleted and reloaded with no change Help please 

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Mini Aceman E and the compatible EV list has the Mini Aceman SE included, but not the E.  Is this an oversight or is only the SE model of the Aceman compatible? If not I’ll get one of the compatible chargers like the Ohme, but ideally I would like an Easee One charger which currently is not compatible. Thanks!

Hey. So - there are two processes for Charge Anytime One for when it’s the EV you’re linking to (EV needs internet access)And one for when it’s the charger controlling things. The latter is thankfully quite clear in the instructions to begin with - no need for the Charge Anytime app, just use the add-on in the main OVO app (great news because the Charge Anytime app seems to have issues).  But then the add-on process then asks if the car has internet access or not ( but also says it needs it - which makes no sense to me )Copy of the process for charger control copied below: which says nothing about car control  so - can we use charge anytime via the add-on, using the charger as the control method, or not? ———Go to the Offers and Upgrades section. Click on the Charge Anytime banner. Select the compatible charger that you have. It’ll ask you for the username and password to log in

An additional point I’ve noticed with my BMW X1/Hypervolt/ChargeAnytime, is that it will only ever charge at 16A/3.7kw from the grid, whilst the car/Hypervolt/CU etc all support the full 32A.I did find another thread on this forum that asked a similar question, but I couldn’t find an answer.So does ChargeAnytime control and limit the maximum rate to 16A?If so, why?

Dear support I am facing issues with Smart charging (Charge Anytime) not working. Since starting this process in January I have had numerous issues and never once have I just plugged in and it just worked, usually requires several visits to plug in / unplug etc until the app registers the car being plugged in and overrides the immediate charge on the Cupra App.That aside my problems are worse right now - plugged in today and as usual the Curpa starts it’s (temporary) immediate charge. This is meant to stop immediately, as soon as the Ovo app registers the car being plugged in. So I tried the usual dance of unplugging / plugging. Ovo app keeps saying ‘Car unplugged’, while the Cupra is charging at full rate through ‘immediate charge’.  So I decided to delete the vehicle from the OVO app and re-register as new vehicle. I’ve just had a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro installed.  We have an attached double garage, and the charger’s been placed on the exterior front of the garage, in-between the 2 doors, for easy access to the driveway.In the house, I have a stupidly expensive Netgear Orbi mesh network with 3 satellites.  It’s got excellent coverage pretty much everywhere.  If I stand in front of the charger, my phone and other devices have 80%-100% signal strength.The Hypervolt though sometimes can’t see the network at all.  If it does see it, it’s listed as ‘weak’ or ‘unreliable.’  I moved one of the satellites so it’s on the windowsill of the room above the garage, and it still declares it’s only ‘weak.’ If I connect it to my phone hotspot, it even says that’s ‘weak’ although it’s literally a metre away.All this means I’m struggling to get it registered with the Charge Anytime app.  I get as far as the message saying it’s ‘connecting to your Hypervolt,’ and that I need to ‘wait a

Hi, I am relatively new to the EV arena, so any help on this would be great. Recently installed a ICS charger and set up my new OVO anytime account with my Tesla, when you look on the Apps, everything appears as it should. I tried the set-up last night and when I got up this morning no charging had taken place.I understand that OVO talks directly to the Tesla and tell it when to start charging based on the lower cost energy rate, but how does the ICS charger need to be set-up to tie into all this? Thanks

I have read through some of the forum topics and it is well-documented that Mercedes and Indra/OVO has an as yet unresolved problem, that being the maximum charge level is re-set to 50% by software Gremlins.I wanted to start a dedicated forum topic about this issue and keep it going until it is resolved, because this is not a minor inconvenience. It would be THE reason for me to not have ordered and signed a finance engagement for a Mercedes EV, or paid over £1000 to OVO for a charger. In my circumstances, charging at home is a key reason to have an EV. Without that, I would go back to a diesel tomorrow.I will update the thread when Mercedes replies to me by email, now that I have been able to pinpoint the issue for them.
