After an anxiety-inducing week of trying to use Charge Anytime (pay as you go), I want to cancel it.  My husband does a lot of miles so charges his Skoda Kodiaq PHEV very night.It all worked perfectly the first night and we thought all was well. However since then, it’s been night after night of failed charges, achieving at most a 30% charge after being plugged in all night with a ready time set at 7am. Our charger isn’t compatible so it is the EV itself that’s connected to the app. We have established (by checking the Skoda app) that the reason the last few attempts at charging haven’t worked properly has been due to the 12v battery protection kicking in and disabling remote services to protect the battery. Presumably OVO cannot therefore communicate with the car to re-initiate charging. It seems that the car doesn’t like being woken up multiple times whilst charging repeatedly starts and stops. Anyway, my question is that having checked the T&Cs, I can see

over the past few days, as the Cap on energy is Dropping in Apr 26, Octopus have announce their overnight rate, is dropping from 7p to as low as 3.5p for some customers, but also 5p for others.do OVO have any plans to drop Anytime from 14p, or are they just going to pocket the extra profit ?

Something I have noticed when charging my Cupra Formentor PHEV (19.7kWh battery version) overnight, is that by the morning it has sometimes (I would even say often) not met the charge target and the car has enabled its 12v battery protection as a result of too many remote wake requests (and thus, comms from Charge Anytime that would result in completing the charge fail to reach the car). This also prevents remotely starting cabin pre-heating etc. until I go outside and turn the car on and off.However this has never, to my recollection, happened when my charging has been during the daytime, even if the potential charging window has been 14h+ to my target time.Is there a difference between how often charging schedules change or how frequently CA attempts to communicate with the car overnight vs during the day?It would be useful to understand if there’s anything I can do/change that will reduce the frequency of these remote wakeups to deliver charge instr

After a successful Anytime charge a few nights ago, the Charge app has stopped talking to my car (last update almost 3 days ago). I’ve now removed my car from the app (under devices) and trying to re-add it. I enter Make / Model / Year of Manufacture but the “Continue >” button does nothing.Any suggestions other than the “switch to Octopus” I’ve had on other forums?

Hello, if I’m on the Premium plus monthly plan with Ovo, how does the Minimum % charge affect charging?  For example, if I set my minimum to 30% and my maximum to 80%.  With a “ready by” time of 7am.  Let’s say my battery is at 15%.  I plug it in at 4pm.  What happens if there’s no cheap electricity available that can come out my monthly allowance? will it charge from 15% to 30% at my standard electricity tariff and then switch to smart charging? or will it still only use my monthly allowance?  Thanks in advance

I briefly charged my car this morning which drained my solar battery of 1.8kWh. I usually set the solar battery to HOLD when I charge the car but this time I didn’t.The Charge app now says I used 1.8kWh and for that power I will be charged 24p instead of 49p so I’ll have 25p credit on my next bill. (I’m on the standard OVO14p/kWh tariff)Interestingly, like everyone, my bills are based on my meter readings and the 1.8kWh won't have “passed through” my meter since it didn’t come from the grid supply. (at least that’s what I assume to be the case). So, that implies that OVO will be giving me 25p for the 1.8kWh I used from my solar battery. Essentially, it seems, OVO will be giving me 14p/kWh every time I charge my car from the solar battery.This all sounds too good to be true so it probably isn’t! - can anyone see where my thought process is wrong?

Evening, Just about to have an Indra Smart Pro charger fitted to a very thick brick pillar on the garage. I want the install as neat as possible so to have the cables enter from the rear. Plan is to pre drill the holes so it's as easy as possible for the installer. I've contacted the installer who reckons the hole centres are at 3.5". Tbh I have a feeling that's wrong from scaling up a plan view image on screen. Posting up here on the off chance someone here might have one they can measure for me.  Many thanks in advance  

Just wondering whether there were many from the original trial still going with the charger? And, also thoughts on the ending of the export credit and the new V2G trial?

Hi, Would it be possible to add a time window say 15 to 30 minutes pre the scheduled charge time to allow for pre conditioning the car, quite often ours is finished before the set time and the app seems to cut supply to the car unless we overide it with boost. It's something I use frequently with the car, currently I boost the charger to use it from the wall but would be nice if this could be an automatic feature. 

Struggling with getting my car to charge without having to go out, unplug and replug then keep monitoring the app.Ohme account deleted, integration to OVO Charge done (have deleted connection & app then reinstalled & connected)This is our only car currently so need to be able to rely on it charging.Any help??Edit to add: I'm using the Ovo Charge app not the Anytime app 

I have two EV’s both added on OVO Charge. Up till around a week ago all has been well, both cars have smart charged just fine. I am now finding that smart charging does not always work. What seems to happen is I plug in an EV and charging starts but does not then get stopped/started under OVO Charge control. The effect of this is that I get charged full rate (as opposed to the 7p VAG deal rate).

Well I tried. I have been a big fan of OVO for nearly 4 years. Once I honestly believed the best EV tariff going, yes even better than the Purple multiple armed one..and let people know. That changed to the new offer, which despite having a great Beta team assigned who were responsive, quick at fixing issues and genuinely wanted feedback. I can’t continue.  The new Charge Anytime just does not work for me. The Rates for “Free” charging are too high and too inflexible and push the risk to the driver to “Guess” how many miles they will do in a month. You can’t adjust the packages quick enough and if you do run out, then get charged the full tariff amount. External charging worked via app the one time I used it but to get the best deal again you would have to buy a “Boost” Battery check did not bring a code up for me, something found during Beta testing and again in reality is a bit pointless as an extra 15% off expensive tyre subs

I’m in the process of buying a Volvo EX30. I have a waEV1s charger which works well with my BMW iX1 and the OVO charge anytime app.According to the OVO website an EX30 is not compatible with the charge anytime app. The website says I have to connect my charger to my OVO account. There was a link on here somewhere that told you how to do it but after getting to the devices page the only options were for the car not the charger. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all,I’ve had my EV and charger for 4 months, charger has been connected via the OVO charge app since using. Yesterday evening (14th Jan) I tried to charge but the OVO charge app just kept displaying ‘Connecting to your EV charger’. I have had this temporarily before and unlinking the charger from the app and reinstalling it usually fixes the issue. Last night however it would not work at all. I tried unlinking, deleting both apps and reinstalling those, nothing worked to get them to link, I ended up having to bypass OVO Charge as I needed the car today. This evening again now (15 Jan), it still won’t connect my charger to the OVO charge app. Has anyone else had this?

Looking to see if anyone has converted their Indra smart pro from WiFi to Ethernet  Mine is on WiFi but it’s not reliable so want to move it to Ethernet  getting hold of Indra is difficult and all I have had so far is one response saying any loc electrician can do the work  but I am sure you would need to go into the settings on the installer app to tell the charger to use Ethernet instead of WiFi  so can anyone confirm if this can be done without being a registered Indra installer ? 

Have had numerous issues, multiple chats/calls with OVO CA team, with charging Volvo EX40. Had OCA app and Volvo app car charged fine but was being double billed as running via both OCA and Volvo app. Instructed to remove OCA app and only charge via Volvo app which is connected to charge anytime for 7p kwh rate. Now car will not charge at all even though in Volvo App shows plugged in and ready for scheduled start, wake up 0% added. Now trying to establish if have Hypervolt charger in Plug & Charge or Scheduled mode (no schedule added as set in Volvo app), any help please?
