Charge Anytime stopped working for my Renault Zoe

I have been using the charge anytime since August but has suddenly stopped working. I tried deleting my car from the app and reregistering but my car is no longer on the list. Being a pensioner I find it difficult to cope with the technology, any ideas?

Charge Anytime App failed to charge Nissan Leaf twice!

I’ve had my Nissan Leaf and Indra SmartPro charger for over four years and always used the Kaluza app which worked fine.I’ve now had to start using the Indra app and Charge Anytime apps together. I only downloaded them last Thursday and then went away for the weekend so the first time I used the two apps was Sunday night.It didn’t charge so I had to Boost charge between passengers during the day. (I’m a voluteer driver.)Monday night it worked fine.Last night (Tuesday) I plugged it in and the Indra app said it was plugged in but the Charge Anytime app said it wasn’t - so I had to Boost charge on the Indra app. I need a full charge every day.I’m 75 and on a tiny pension. I can’t afford Boost charging!

Hyundai Kona keeps stopping charging mid charge

I have a 2024 Hyundai Kona, since adding the Charge Anytime Add on & linking to my Bluelink account it keeps coming up with  "Charging process successfully completed as configured" which isn't the case. I have to then press charge again via the Bluelink app. This happens within 15 - 30 minutes of charging. The charge anytime app still shows the car as charging when it clearly isn't.I contacted Hyundai and they advised it would be the 3rd party app causing this, is this a known issue and how can I resolve this as I want to benefit from the cheaper rate. Thanka

Do you need a smart meter for Charge Anytime

I have an EV due to arrive in about 2 weeks. We are with EDF and have solar panels on FIT, but no smart meter. We are looking to move to OVO Charge Anytime, but I am unclear about whether we will need a smart meter, whether I should get EDF or OVO to install it, and what order should the installation of smart meter and charger and account transfer happen. Can somebody advise please? I assume that we will need an Indra Smart Pro, but I would also be interested in whether that charger is also supported by other energy providers. The car is an Audi E-Tron if that makes any difference.

Charge anytime - set charge percentage?

I’ve just moved over from Octopus as shifting usage to off peak hours wasn’t working that well and I figured it would be cheaper to have the slightly lower rate plus charge anytime that Ovo offer. When charging my car with the Octopus integration I could select a percentage to add. So if I had 30% battery I could pick ‘add 50%’ and when I got in my car the next day I’d have 80% battery.  In my car’s manual (Peugeot E-208 GT 51kwh) it recommends to only charge to 80% for regular use to avoid battery degradation.  With the charge anytime app and Ovo integration there doesn’t seem to be an option to add a specific percentage - although I have seen and read reference to, ‘set the amount of charge to add’. I only seem to be able to charge to 100% with no option other than the ‘ready by’ setting. I want to be able to select a percentage of charge to add. Is this possible? I’m using a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro charger linked to the charge anytime app.

Why is there a difference between EV and charger, charging statistics.

Hi,I’ve just finished a charging session and the car reports a 28 kWh charge, but the Hypervolt reports 30.3 kWh being delivered to the car. Why the discrepancy?thanks, colin

Charge Anytime - Why won't it charge 100%?

I just installed Charge Anytime for my Mercedes EQC 400.I have it set on Min 50% and Max 100%.  My question:Why can’t it just be set to a 100% charge, or even 95%? I don’t want it to only charge 50%. I’ve tried it twice and all I get the car charged is around 50% but I need the battery to be fully charge for my longer journeys. It’s quite stressful not knowing if I’ll have enough battery or not when I leave the house in the morning.Is it meant to work like this? Why can’t I just set the % I want it charged at? The highest I can move the Min charge to is 50%. I’ve contacted OVO but they’re not getting back to me. Thanks.

Issues connecting my Volvo with a SIM to Charge Anytime

Hello,I’ve just bought a Volvo PHEV, but where I park is outside my home WiFi zone. The car has the facility to connect to the internet via an in-car SIM. My question is, how much data do I need if I’m connecting to Charge Anytime every night? I’m charging with a Mode 2 cable and 3-pin plug.Thanks.

Anyone else getting lower than expected amounts from Charge Anytime ?

I have a Kia Niro EV and a Pod Point charger.  After some initial incomplete transactions, I now seem to have the system working OK, but the savings are lower than expected.To avoid peak rates, I started the last two chargings at around 1:00 to 1:30 am each time, with the car itself set to charge to a maximum of 80% - both times from existing levels of around 40%.   As expected, the details shown by my PodPoint App show charge amounts of 30kWh each time over around 4 hrs each time - so finishing well before 7 a.m.For 30 kWh the Charge Anytime rate of 7.07p/kWh compared with my OVO rate of 27. 07p/kWh gives a saving rate of 20p/kWh, so I expected to see saving of around £6.00 for each charge.   However, in my Charge Anytime App, savings are shown as around £4.00 each time.When I sent copies of my data to Charge Anytime at OVO, I received a reply containing the following:Comparison with vehicle manufacturer and charger apps have in some cases shown discrepancies, that suggest customers a

Charge Anytime - Says my car is not at home when it is!

I’ve set up Charge Anytime account and put my house on the map during set up. My car is on the drive charging now but app is saying it is not at home (so it charges as soon as I plug in).There are no settings option in the app to adjust things like my location??Anything I can do?

OVO quote for charger installation, but I no longer want the quote?

I’ve just received a quote from OVO to install an Indra charger.  It reads…“We are happy with all the information and your quote of £1354.99 is ready to be sent through, along with the corresponding payment link.We are just awaiting approval from your local DNO before we are able to do this. Once we have received this approval, your quote and payment link will be sent to you.”As a result I’ve since received several emails from SSEN asking for further details so they perform a “load check”I’m almost certainly not going to go with the OVO quote as my local, certified electrician will supply and fit the same charger for significantly less.There doesn’t appear to be a “I’m not interested” option on the OVO email, so presumably I have no choice but to call them.  Or should I just wait until SSEN and OVO stop chasing me for more information?

Why does Solar PV make a difference for compatibility with Charge Anytime?

I’m a non-OVO user considering using the Charge Anytime tariff.If I carry out the compatibility checks for my EV and charger for Charge Anytime it says I am OK - provided I lie about my solar panels and say I don’t have any.If I click the radio button for ‘yes, I have solar panels’ (the truth) and re-submit, it tells me I’m NOT compatible for Charge Anytime.What is the reason for this? I haven’t found anywhere that explains this restriction.Thanks and regards

How do I make sense of Charge Anytime credits?

Has anyone been able to make sense of their charge anytime credits on their bill? For the 2nd Quarter running I’m trying to reconcile the credits with the electricity used according to the Indra app and, yet again, there’s a big difference between the two - always in OVO’s favour!Using the data from the app I’ve been under credited by £65 over the quarter, in fact as far as I can see I’ve been under credited ever since starting on Charge Anytime 6 months ago. It’s not helped by OVO simply stating “Charge Anytime Credits” and no further detail eg how many kW the credit has been applied to. Yes, you can work it out but I don’t want to spend a couple of hours checking my electricity bill every quarter and then spending even more time trying to sort it out.

charge anytime app not connecting to renault

Hello, iv had OVO charge anytime with mini electric for a couple of years and it worked seamlessly.I’ve just swapped to a Renault scenic e-tech and I’m not able to connect the charge anytime app to my Renault account. note - my Renault account / app works fine, I can see the range / lights / location / preconditioning etc. when I try to sync I see the following message, see screenshot.

Installation of charge anytime has prevented me using my home charger with my audi etron?

Recently linked ovo account and home charger to charge anytime, then gave permission to control charging of my audi e tronIt didn’t work - didn’t recognise the car as being connected and then the day after, the app wouldn’t communicate with the audi at all. Complete failure so decided to delete charge anytime account and put up with paying standard charge - better than not being able to charge at all.However, despite deleting account, my audi will no longer connect to my home charger so I am completely stuck.The charger is fine - I can charge other cars.The audi is fine, I can charge it in other places.However, I cannot charge it at home on my charger which is a disaster. I wish I had never tried to implement this scheme at all as I am now forced onto public chargers at huge expense and inconvenience.Anybody else had these issues?

Charge Anytime - how can I switch from one car to another or to connect Charge Anytime to multiple vendor accounts?

After a small number of charges with the Charge Anytime bolt-on I can see a credit on my OVO account so it seems to be working albeit with a few small issues.The sign up process asked if I had one or more EVs so it would follow that the ability to add more should be available or if a manufacturer account which is connected to the Charge Anytime account has multiple cars within it there should be some mechanism to either manually select which vehicle is waiting to be charged or perhaps Charge Anytime should detect which is ready to charge automatically. I need to charge a second car which is in my "My Renault" account but am still waiting for a reply regarding my situation and what I should expect to do to make this work. Does anyone know how one can switch from one car to another or to connect Charge Anytine to multiple vendor accounts? (For example Renault and Vauxhall or two Renault accounts). Any help much appreciated so I can charge at the reduced rare. Thanks  Gaz

Are OVO Charge Anytime and Givenergy EV charger compatible?

Having installed a Givenergy AIO system to take advantage of OVOs Battery Boost (automatic, overnight charging at cheap rate), we are now turning our thoughts to an EV charger.OVOs Charge Anytime add on (7p per kWh EV charging) is only available if you choose from a list of compatible EV chargers ( Givenergy isn't on this list!).Are there any plans to ensure compatibility of the new Givenergy EV charger as I would prefer my equipment to come from the same manufacturer? I'm assuming that Givenergy will produce an EV charger that is compatible with its All in One battery?Thanks.

CUPRA Formentor won't connect to charge anytime?

Hi All, I recently purchased a CUPRA Formentor Hybrid. I enrolled in the Charge Anytime. The app worked brilliantly for a week or so and today I noticed something was wrong. I connected my car to change it and the app couldn’t not detect it, simply said car is unplugged and odd thing was it connected with the car last at 5:30 am… it was after 15:00 when I noticed that. I thought I’d remove the car from charge anytime app followed by app removal and re adding it all. All I get now is a screen where my schedule should be that says : Please wait few minutes whilst we finish connecting to your CUPRA. I raised it with them too but they simply responded it’s out of their scope and they can’t see any issues. Has anybody experienced anything like this before? How was it fixed? Thanks

Charge Anytime app dashboard started to show I need to sign in again on my vehicle & says 'additional steps required'?

I have an ID3 and charge anytime - it has been working perfectly but …..The app dashboard has recently started to show that I need to sign in again on my vehicle … I have completed this and there is no change … the account page on the app does not load at all but the charge savings page shows the connected car and the daily smart charge costs, so its working !I have deleted and reloaded the Anytime App with no change.Because the dashboard page says “additional steps required ….” I can't use the charge level or override to charge now features.The VW app has also been deleted and reloaded with no change Help please
