I was on payg with boost then changed to ovo payg, I have gone to direct debit with ovo, I still have £90 credit on the payg account how do I get that back ?

I am impressed by the level of knowledge held by OVO Energy forum members. I was hoping to get advice about the lack of data communicated to the DCC.  I moved to an EV tariff with Octopus Energy on 24 November 2022, but they have not been able to receive information from the Landis+Gyr E470 smart meter/hub since that date.  The SMETS 2 meter was installed by EDF at the end of October 2022 and I moved to Octopus Energy within a few days (fixed tariff with EDF was ending at the end of November 2022).  For the first few weeks of November, when I was on a standard tariff with Octopus, I believe that electricity and gas data was being received via the DCC.  After contacting Octopus on a number of occasions, I was offered a “power-cycle” visit by an engineer.  This was completed on 6 February and within two days, apps such as Hugo, Loop and Bright were able to display electricity/gas data.  Surprisingly, Octopus could still not obtain information from the DCC.  This situation changed after a

OVO has requested my June FIT reading but the link does not work. States “…...can’t reach this page”. I have emailed OVO but in my experience it will be many weeks before I get a reply.  Anyone else having a problem submitting their reading please?

I just tried to initiate a webchat to ask about changing tariffs. The chat ended abruptly with this instruction:  Is that really a freephone number? If not, would someone please put the chatbot right?

My IHD stopped working 3 days ago. When I turn it on its stuck at "searching for smart meter" screen. And don't want to display any more information. My online account also stopped on 3 days ago balance. But the smart meter itself is working and shows the actual balance. Pls help me. What can I do?

Hi,I’ve got a smart appointment booked and have ask for the engineer to replace my current semi concealed, traditional gas meter with a wall mounted smart meter. I have a few questions which I couldn’t get answered when booking, and wondered if anyone here might know…The meter is in a raised plant bed (which I’m removing) outside directly in the middle of the house. I’d like to move it a foot or so to the right so that it’s not so visible. Will the engineer be able to move it slightly without the transporter being involved? As the meter is going from semi concealed to wall mounted, will I need to have purchased a new meter box before the appointment? Will the engineer be able to fit this for me? What size will the meter box need to be to ensure the new meter fits?thanks so much for your help

My meter went "dumb" a few days ago see usage screenPhoned help line on 27th August and young lady I spoke to was unable to get a reading when she tried, unlike the previous time this happened in early August when it was successful and things returned to normal.She went off to consult and it was concluded that as I have all 3 lights flashing at the correct frequency then I would need an engineer to visit and this is booked for next week.Going on past experience, I am not so sure as I checked online this morning and “Home Page” now hasClicked on the meter reading link and I getSo I am unable to enter any manual readings as this part of the application seems not to be aware of the lack of readings. I had this before when bill production managed to switch me to monthly readings some how and this was fixed by one of the moderators raising with I guess 2nd/3rd line support.I wonder if a moderator can raise this with their support as it would save an engineer visit and again from previous ex

‘Upgrades’ is a slight billing misnomer for features that cost, separate from fuel costs and VAT. I have one: a small monthly contribution to the OVO Foundation.I can’t be certain, but I’m fairly sure that hitherto the cost of this ‘upgrade’ was added on the opening day of the current period to the ‘Other charges’ section of the billing details for my account:    I’m still not seeing it, on 8 August.Can anyone else with a chargeable upgrade see it now? I’d like to know if this is a global change (e.g. shifting it to the Direct Debit date), or whether it’s just my blighted account that’s acting up again.

Hi All, I am a newbie to the EV world. I did my first charge last night via the anytime app. However when I have looked this morning my anytime app is saying 12.1kw and smart charge is showing £1.69 however my Hypervolt is showing 48.20kwh charging and a cost of £7.04.  has anyone seen stuff like this and what can they advise as I don’t want to be paying the full price and not get the 7p per kWh

I need to close the account of my elderly mother who has moved into a care home.Looking at the help pages it looks as if closing accounts is based on receiving meter reading from a new supplier. What if you simply need to close the account and there is no new supplier?I cant find an option on the website to simply close the account.

Hi Folks Looking to get a podpoint installed and they need my MPAN.  In my Ovo profile I see no mention of MPAN at all.  How can I find out what it is?  I have a barcode on the front of my electricity meter but I’m not sure if that’s it.   Thanks

Anyone having trouble with Meter reading I have sent in about three still no bill they want me to have a smart meter they gotta be joking Can’t even handle a meter reading and what I read on here  they have trouble with Smart metres.

Hey, I turned off my gas for over a year now. When I turned it off i had 5£ to use it. Now after a year and a half it shows I owe 223£. I just found out because I have been harassed by a company called Engage Services saying they will get a warranty to enter my house even though I tried to book an appointment and they said they didn’t have engineers around. I’m at a loss on how to proceed if my meter is off how do I owe 223£ and how can I just cancel it all and get Engage services off my back?

I keep getting requests to join that lead to a page with Error on it.But I’m now a member - but no information as to what to do or evidence it’s up and running at all. Would be grateful for any info before I go crazy.

Hi, I'd be grateful someone knowledgeable in smart meters could provide any insight into what could be the problem with my smart meter. After having it initially installed I had to have an engineer come back and install an aerial. Since then I have all 5 green led lights flash every 5 seconds which I believe means the smart meter is working how it should be and is communicating. Despite this EDF is saying they can't read my meter. I will be looking to move to OVO once my 3 year fix deal finishes in September as I want to benefit from the EV tariff they have and I'm keen to get this problem resolved before doing this. If I input my details into the n3rgy website I get no obvious errors other than 'No Export MPAN configured' and 'warning device configuration has not been completed - whitelisted'. Are there any generic reasons why they can't read my meter? Does the green flashing led every 5 seconds definitely mean there is a connection? If that's the case why can't they read the meter?

had 2 new smet 2 meters fitted on 28/08/24 electric showing but not had been 4 days now still not showing gas can you tell me why it is a chameleons

As it's not law to have a smart meter,can anyone tell us how to get them removed for a traditional meter,any ideas Tim ?

Hello, I have been living in this flat for a couple of months and so far there have been no issues with the smart meter and the IHD until this long weekend.I have a Landis+Gyr E470 SMETS2 and a Geo IHD here. They look exactly like the pictures here (without the gas meter):A few days ago I noticed the clock on the IHD became 15-20 minutes slower. Yesterday it showed something like “no data” so I power cycled the IHD and then it is stuck with connecting to the meter. It is reporting the 22-0 and 28-2 codes when I check the status.I checked the comms hub and the SW, WAN and HAN lights are flashing every 5 seconds but OVO is not receiving the reads and is asking me to manually enter them.May I know is there anything I can do on my side before reaching the support? Thank you!

Good Afternoon, I am looking for some advice. So I had a smart meter installed on the 20th Aug 2024. And to my disappointment I received an IHD3, I am pay monthly direct debit. So not prepay version. I'm very computer savvy as such. I have emailed twice to complaints department asking why I did not receive the newer IHD6. As in there home user booklet. And I feel I am being fobbed off, With emails from OVO saying that that the above mentioned is perfectly fine and compatible. And unfortunately thats basically what we are giving out. I understand that the IHD3 I have is as they say. All you need!! How do I get a more upto date version? At least a new improved IHD6 or an IHD7. Do I have to buy one? Good morning,We’ve been trying to set up an OVO account online for two months now. When we moved in, there were letters to The Occupier with an account number.I spoke to someone on 2nd July and they said they’d be in touch. Since then I’ve heard nothing. I sent the meter readings by email and still, zero response. Every time I try to set up an online account I keep getting the oops message.Is it normal that it takes this long? Is there anything I am not doing right?Grateful for any advice.TIA
